707 Part 3/10 of Shri Lakshmi Narayanaji's Impact Speech on Leadership, Swami Vivekananda

This is in continuation of our blog posts 704, and 706. Our Shri Lakshmi Narayanaji, in his Vibrant India Speech, Click link to download an mp3 of the speech in Telugu, if you have not already done) like a good samaritan, wishes that our youth should stay away from vices (Telugu: vyasanams వ్యసనాలు). In his speech he has also referred to youth standing before counters of wineshops. It is a great thing that our Shri Lakshmi Narayanaji gave a timely advice to our youth not to enter into addictions and obsessions. Our rulers (M.L.As., M.Ps., State Ministers and Central Ministers) also should have done that, but they prefer to drench our Citizens, particularly youth with alcohol. In alcohol consumption, Andhra Pradesh is one of the top States in India. We shall, now , see the GRAY AREA No. 2 from our Role Model Shri Swami Vivekananda. Let us not forget that our Shri Lakshmi Narayana GAru wants to produce a number of Vivekanandas.

GRAY AREA 2 from the Life of Swami Vivekananda: Consumption of Alcohol

PROOF 1

The following is a quote from Swami Vivekananda's biography by Sister Gargi (Marie Lousie Burke), born 1912. (Burke IV: 283-288) refers to Vol. 4, pages 283-288. (Notes: We should not confuse ourselves with Sister Gargi- Ms. Marie Louise Burke, with Swami Abhayananda Ms. Marie Louise. Abhayananda was first Lady Swami, initiated by Vivekananda into Hinduism. She was not his biographer. Ms. Marie Lousie Burke also called Sister Gargi, born ten years after demise of Swamiji (10 years from 1902 i.e. 1912) was his biographer.

Context: Swami Vivekananda was visiting Switzerland, to see Alps. While in Switzerland, he met Prof. Deussen, a noted Sanskrit Scholar. The general impression among Europeans and Americans at that time was Indian Hindu Monks do not smoke or consume meat or alcohol. They are jitendriyas (those who conquered their senses and themselves). Swami Vivekananda's ease with smoking and alcohol surprised Prof. Deussen. Hence, this conversation.

Prof. Deussen : "...You seem to be a queer sort of saint....You eat well, you drink well, you smoke all day, and you deprive yourself of nothing.

SWAMI VIVEKANANDA : "I observe my vows."

PROF. DEUSSEN : "And what consists of your vows?"

SWAMI VIVEKANANDA : "They require me simply Kama Kanchana Viraha, to renounce sex and gold" (Burke IV: 283-288)."

About kAma kAnchana viraham (Staying away from lust and gold), we shall take up separately.

PROOF 2

Mrs. Ole Bull, was the wife of a famous American violinist (deceased). She has great appreciation and respect for Swami Vivekananda. Swamiji called her "Mother", and addressed her as Mother, in several of his letters. When Swami Vivekananda was found to be quite at ease with liquor and smoking, there was some tumult. Mrs. Ole Bull, in reply to such criticisms, gave her this view. She wrote to Lady Henry Somerset:-

"... The fact that V. has smoked for years and has at lunches and dinners a few times tasted wine (not with men alone) with the impulsive combative nature of the man -- in large part his own fault as I tell him -- and in part the prejudice of creed and custom against any oriental not a converted Christian, have contributed to this prejudice which had reached me before I knew him ..."

Whatever be the outlook of Swami Vivekananda towards Wine, whatever be the inspirational speeches of our great orator Shri V.V. Lakshmi Narayana garu, Indian youth are already on a trajectory path of ALCOHOLISM towards the sky. It is unlikely that Indian youth will restrain themselves from them. This is irrespective of whether 3000 condoms, 3000 beer cans, 2000 indian foreign liquor bottles, reported to have been found at Jawaharlal Nehru University as alleged by a BJP M.L.A. Why JNU alone? Why only Universities? Alcohol is ubiquitous in India.

As, our admirers of Swami Vivekananda (includes our beloved Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Our Urban Development Minister Shri Venkaiah Naidu whether they may be knowing about ease of Swamiji with alcohol, or not), have apparently given exemption to our 19th Century Swami Vivekananda, for consumption of alcohol, and made him the Preceptor and the Role Model for the Nation, will our Shri Lakshmi Narayanaji also give some concessions to our modern Indian Vivekanandas of 21st Century?

Next Gray Area which we may have to discuss "cigars" and Swamiji.

To continue. सशेष. ఇంకా ఉంది.

702 (Part 6 of Kanhaiya-JNU affair)- Will Mr. Sitaram Yechury send Lal Salams to Afzal Guru and Yakoub Momen also? Will he send his Lal Salams to Asaduddin Ovaisi also?

Mr. Sitaram Yechury, the Boss of Communist Party of India (Marxist), popular in India as CPIM or CPM has tweeted his Lal Salams to Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar, the JNU Students Leader on March 3, 2016. But Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar appears to be getting deeply entrenched and entangled in his support to Afzal Guru and Yakoub Momen's followers. Will Mr. Sitaram Yechury continue his Lal Salams to Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar, if Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar continues his association with the followers of Afzal Guru and Yakoub Momen?

The High Power Committee appointed by JNU's Vice Chancellor, submitted its report on the happenings in JNU on Feb. 9. Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar and other students sought time for replying JNU's Notice, to consult Legal opinion. The JNU gave them time upto 5 pm on 18.3.2016. After perusing the Replies of the Students, and taking into consideration the Recommendations of the High Power Committee, the VC may take his decision, of course after consulting Home Ministry and HRD Ministry.

The justification of VC's decision, will again become an object of Judicial Review, because the affected students will approach High Courts u/article 226 of Constitution, and Supreme Court u/article 32 of Constitution. If High Court's decision goes against the JNU, or the Students, either party will again appeal to Supreme Court for Revision / SLP. etc. etc.

While the AAP Government has sent the relevant videos to a Private Lab. in Hyderabad, and that Private Lab confirmed that 2 of the 5 videos are doctored, Mr. Sitaram Yechury was happy with the Private Lab's Report, rather than asking for analyses of the reports in a Government Laboratory.

Whether the 2/5 of Videos are doctored and 3/5 of the Videos are not doctored, the High Power Committee has made two findings: Anti India slogans were given by some persons wearing scarfs/masks. There are Eye-witnesses.

We have gauged this issue of "Sloganeering by outsiders" in Part 1 and Part 2 (see blog Posts 676, 686, 690, 693, 699). Now, the High Power Panel of JNU confirmed it. They found some Security Lapses, in allowing outsiders into the Meeting.

In India, the key problem is OUTSIDERS ARE HYJACKING MEETINGS AND RALLIES. When lawyers thrashed Kanhaiya Kumar in Patiala Courts, some outsiders in Lawyers' Coats seem to have infiltrated into the crowd, in spite of nearly 1000 Police Personnel guarding there.

The same is the case in the burning of Ratnachal Express in Tuni Railway Station, during Kapu Reservation Agitation led by Mr. Mudragada Padmanabham in Andhra Pradesh.

The same is the case, in large scale destruction of Public Property during Jat Reservation Agitation.

What is the lesson from all this? Meetings are to be held in Closed Halls, collecting xerox copies of identity cards, Adhar Cards, entering all the details in separate Registers. Still, better method will be to have BioMetric Attendance hand-machines for checking finger prints, iris, etc. If the Organisers fail to do it, Police should do it independently.

Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar appears to be confusing himself by mixing up the problems of socio-economic backwardness of dalits, and their sufferings - with Afzal Guru, Yakoub Momen, something else, something else. In the process, he is entangling himself irretrivably.

WHO SHOULD DECIDE WHAT IS NATIONAL, AND WHAT IS NOT NATIONAL

Now, the plate of Indian Citizens is full. The Maharashtra Assembly expelled an AIMIM M.L.A. from the Assembly, because he refused to say "Bharat MAtA ki Jai". Of course, that MLA, and their leader Asaduddin Ovaisi, said they will say "Jai Hind", and they confirmed their adherence to India's Constitution.

Then, there are some rewards for "tongue-cutters", who will cut the tongues of the blasphemers. How seriously, Maharashtra Police will pursue the cases against those who announced rewards for the tongue-cutters? How seriously, Maharashtra Police will follow up cases against Mr. Asaduddin Ovaisi, for his speeches which are likely to intensify communal divide? These two are going to be serious questions.

Mr. Sitaram Yechury, CPIM boss, without thinking deeply about Afzal Guru and Yakoub Momen, tweeted Lal Salam to Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar. By doing this, Mr. Sitaram Yechury and CPIM are indirectly supporting Afzal Guru and Yakoub Momen. Needless say , that Senior Leaders are to be very careful in their actions, because their followers blindly imitate them. (This applies to Mr. Rahul Gandhi, Mr. Narendra Modi, and Ms. Sonia Gandhi also).

Lal Salam Comrade Kanhaiya. आज़ाद हिंदुस्तान का भविष्य आप की पीढ़ी के ही हाथों में है.. #JNULongLive 499 retweets 521 likes Sitaram Yechury ‏@SitaramYechury Mar 3

We have to see whether Mr. Sitaram Yechury will tweet his Lal Salams to Asaduddin Ovaisi also.

Simultaneously, the Union Government should appoint a Independent Special Judicial Commission with Constitutional Experts, to decide and adjudicate whether Bharat Mata ki Jai, Vande Mataram, should become legally Enforceable National Slogans, like National Anthem. It is high time, GOI and Supreme Court bring clarity on this serious issue which is going to threaten the National Integrity of India. That Special Commission + GOI + Supreme Court have to decide on the role to be played by Extra-Constitutional Power Groups and NGOs.

Small disputes at local level, can culminate in Civil Wars at National Level. Our Leaders have to foresee a lot, and meet the future half-way ahead before Crises strike us fatally. In Management Terminology, this is called STRATEGY PLANNING. Mr. Narendra Modi, Mr. Rajnath Singh, Ms. Smriti Irani, pl. wake up from your dreams.

According to News Reports, a High level inquiry committee constituted by its Vice Chancellor to inquire into the Feb. 9 incident of "Anti-National Slogans at JNU", has submitted its unanimous report. It appears that the Committee has has recommended rustication of students union president Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid, Anirban Bhattacharya and two other students for their alleged role in a controversial event last month at which anti-national slogans were raised. For those who wish to read about the Newsreport, here is the Link: Click to go to DeccanChronicle.com dt. 15.3.16.

Here is another quote from theHindu.Com.

"...The high level inquiry committee constituted by the VC to enquire into the incident has submitted a unanimous report... As per the report, some students have been found to have violated the university rules and norms. There are standard provisions in the university to take action in such cases. The high level inquiry is based on the rules of discipline and proper conduct of JNU. ... ... The VC has apprised the Dean’s Committee of the summary of the inquiry committee recommendations. The office of the Chief Proctor would take further action by issuing show-cause notices to the concerned students who have been found violating the rules and norms of the university ...

I have a special affection and affinity for the word "rustication", as a student of M.A. (English Literature, Distance Education, Nagarjuna University), which was taken up and completed by me with madness, after completing my M.A. (History).

We shall first start with the word: "rusticate" , for the benefit of those who wish to tone up their vocabulary. According to Merriam-Webster.com, here is the meaning of the word "rusticate":--

Definition of rusticate: rus·ti·cat·edrus·ti·cat·ing, intransitive verb, : to go into or reside in the country : follow a rustic life.

transitive verb:

1 chiefly British : to suspend from school or college

2 : to build or face with usually rough-surfaced masonry blocks having beveled or rebated edges producing pronounced joints.

3 a : to compel to reside in the country b : to cause to become rustic : implant rustic mannerisms in

According to the Merriam-Websters.com, the word was first used in 1660.

During my English Literature Studies days, I used to spend several solitary nights, mulling over the RUSTICATION of John Milton, from Christ's College, at Cambridge. Here is Wikipedia.org's narration about his stint at Cambridge, and his rustication:

...In 1625 Milton began attending Christ's College, Cambridge. He graduated with a B.A. in 1629,[9] and ranked fourth of 24 honours graduates that year in the University of Cambridge.[10] Preparing to become an Anglican priest, Milton stayed on to obtain his Master of Arts degree on 3 July 1632.

Milton was probably rusticated (suspended) for quarrelling in his first year with his tutor, Bishop William Chappell. He was certainly at home in the Lent Term 1626; there he wrote his Elegia Prima, a first Latin elegy, to Charles Diodati, a friend from St Paul's. Based on remarks of John Aubrey, Chappell "whipt" Milton.[8] This story is now disputed, though certainly Milton disliked Chappell.[11] Historian Christopher Hill cautiously notes that Milton was "apparently" rusticated, and that the differences between Chappell and Milton may have been either religious or personal. ...

Throughout his Life, John Milton seems to have lived a saga of a sort of rebellous unpleasantness with Church and Formal Religion. There is not much difference between the situation prevailing then in Europe , where religious fanatics dominated the political scenario, and the present day scenario of India, where religion-linked Nationalism has come to the fore. There are several facets of Milton which are worth discussing, but not now at this particular blog-post.

Back to possible rustication of Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar:

The word "rustic" is the root of the verb "rusticate". As per Merriam-websters:

Simple Definition of rustic : of, relating to, or suitable for the country or people who live in the country. 2) made of rough wood

Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar is from a village in Bihar. Thus, he is a rustic, even literally. He might have been a sort of an agrestic during his early College days. After his shift to Delhi, for his Ph.D. he might have learnt the refinements of Metrogens. In Media photos and videos, he looks quite charming, may be bewitching charms. This might have added to his capability to attract the attention of his students crowds at the JNU.

Now, suppose the JNU banishes him ("rusticate" in their words). Will he go back to Bihar, and become a leader of the so-called rustics? It ought to be. I wish that he will. Villagers and politicians in Bihar may not allow Kanhaiya to do, but , he will have a very big lot to do in villages, rather than in Delhi. I always felt that Mr. Sitaram Yechury might have done a lot at Anaparti or Rampachodavaram, when compared to what he is doing in Delhi.

Everybody knows that, in most Indian Universities, Ph.D means preparation of Thesis(es) using the CONTROL X C V Cut Copy Paste Methods, produce some volumes in a hurry, get it accepted by "pandits" with the help of "purchase-able" guides, who themselves advise the Research Scholars to plagiarise. If Indian University Ph.D. Courses are to be cleansed and standards raised, such REFORMS should start with the Reformation of the so-called Wicked Corrupt Guides.

There may be some great Exceptional Research Scholars and Research Guides. I am not for generalisations.

Suspension from the Course and the University, or the probability of suspension, may cause immense mental disequilibrium to poor students, who depend for their survival on the concessional /free hostels, stipends, scholarships, fellowships etc. (I may not be correct, but I believe that the harassment at UOH, might have led to an anxiety and stress of insecurity to Vemula Rohit, which might have culminated in his suicide).

The problem with our villages, and the parents of our students in villages, is: there will be GREAT EXPECTATIONS. The boy is studying in Delhi, in a very big University. He will get his HIGHEST DEGREE (nothing to go beyond, like a Himalayan Cliff), get a University Professor job with Rs. one lac salary per month, etc. etc. A student, who does not / who could not finish his Studies can, therefore, never go back to his village, and face questions there. It is just like a youth who goes to Bollywood or Tollywood or Kollywood to become a Hero, and takes the incarnation of an Extra Actor earning daily wages. Hence, there can, never be a question of going back. An exception will arise only when the student has his body made of RURAL GRAINS.

I still have ample sympathies for Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar. He seems to have been misled by students who were receiving funds from Pakisthan and Saudi Arabia.

Last but not the least: High Power Committees in India, are not REAL HIGH POWER COMMITTEES. They are just Committees of Clerks. Even Ministers in this country are like Clerks or even worse. A peon (caprAsi) in Government cannot be easily removed without following due procedures, but a Minister can be easily removed at the whims and fancies of CMs and PMs. But, then CMs and PMs are again Clerks of Extra-Constitutional Authorities such as Ms. Sonia Gandhi, Mr. Mohan Bhagawat etc. Even Business Tycoons and Industrialists are capable of appointing and removing CMs and PMs. Hence much value cannot be given to the recommendations and decisions of High Power Committees , whether unanimous or otherwise.

There is a maxim: People get the Government they deserve. We have got the Government we are deserving. We have got to wait till 2019, to refresh ourselves.

A Telugu verse from Sumati Satakam is worth quoting:

కొంచెపు నరు సంగతిచే KONCEPU NARU SANGATI CE
అంచితముగ పెట్లు వచ్చు, అది ఎట్లన్నన్ ANCITAMUGA PETLU VACCU, ADI ETLANNAN
కించిత్తు నల్లి కుట్టిన KINCITTU NALLI KUTTINA
మంచమునకు పెట్లు వచ్చు మహిలో సుమతీ. MANCAMUNAKU PETLU VACCU MAHILO SUMATI.

English Gist: Making friendship with a malicious person can lead to blows to a normal person, after some days. How it is: When a sleeping cot (or a couch-bed) is infested with bed-bugs, the cot will be kept in hot sun, and beaten with sticks, so as to kill / flee the bugs. Here, the bugs are, the Anti Nationals who have tried to take over the JNU. Cot or the bed-couch is the JNU.

696 (Part 4 of Kanhaiya) Is there a need to have a surveillance on every University and every student? (Perils of inalertness).

A good friend of mine has sent an email on our blogpost No. 694. Link: Click here if you wish to go to 694 . The observation of the friend is quoted below, and replied, for the benefit of our Readers:-

Blogpost 694 said: "...It is the duty of the State to keep a secret watch on every activity going on Universities, on every person studying and working in Universities, and counsel the students in a paternalist benevolent manner, using persuasion. ..."

Friend's observation: "... తమకున్న బోలెడు బాధ్యతలను నిర్వర్తిస్తూ, విశ్వవిద్యాలయాల్లోని ప్రతి విద్యార్థి పైన, వారి కార్యకలాపాలపైన రహస్య నిఘా పెట్టడం ఆచరణ సాధ్యమా? అసాధ్యం కాదా? ..."

Approx. English gist: "...Is it practicable (for the State) to maintain a secret watch on each and every student in our Universities, while discharging (its-i.e. the State's) numerous other duties? ..."

Approx. Hindi gist: "...क्या (राज्य / राष्ट्र को) यह साध्य है कि, वह अपने कई शत कर्तव्यों को निभाते समय, विश्व विद्यालयों के छात्रों पर रहस्य निगरनी रखना ? क्या यह आचरणीय साध्य है ? ..."

REPLY जवाब జవాబు

Real and serious question which occurs to me is: Is there need for any such type of secret watch? Since, any such question has not been asked in our email, I am not answering in detail and in depth. After writing about the need for secret watch on students in Post No. 694, I felt guilty and added some 20% additional sleeplessness to my existing sleepless nights. Even now, I have second thoughts. I may remove this suggestion in 694, after thorough re-examination.

ABOUT PRACTICTABILITY OF SURVEILLANCE निगरनी के साध्य असाध्यों के बारे में నిఘా యొక్క సాధ్యా సాధ్యాలను గురించి

Theoretically, legally, all humans of all the three three sexes, above the age of 18 years (or say 21 years) are capable of making their own independent judgements based on merits, and analyses. Unfortunately, it is not happening, at least in some places of India, at certain times. Even Prime Ministers and Presidents (includes the American and Russian Brands also), High Court and Supreme Court Justices seem to be suffering from this shortcoming, howsoever minor and ridiculous, it may appear to be. Well, I am, too small a fry and a hoi polloi to comment about them. I may not even be competent to comment about our Ph.D students.

One major problem with practicability of surveillance in India is: the huge population of India, and disproportionately small human power. Everywhere, there are crowds, unlike countries like Russia, Sweden, Canada. Whether we like it or not, we have to stop our population growth, by all means, methods, procedures and strategies.

The degree of intensity of surveillance will be inversely proportionate to the maturity of the target group. Here, maturity does not mean formal Educational Qualification. It refers to their mental maturity, reasoning power, awareness about legal positions i.e. Rule of the Law of this country, knowledge of dangers faced by this country both in the areas of internal security and external security, etc. The list is too long. Some of them, we can discuss in forthcoming blogs, if I live.

Till such time we get adequate human power per thousand of population, we have to depend on technological tools such as CC Cameras, transparent "bugs", official video-filming of meetings, ensuring that telecom Companies maintain all call-conversations in untampered condition, observing the spending habits, observing the funds which are being received by students (For example, checking of vehicles for arms, Indian and foreign currency etc.).

Soon after the Government of Mr. Narendra Modi came into power, there were reports (may be fabricated) that the Chambers of our Cabinet Ministers were bugged, and their activities were being watched. Bugging and tapping might have taken place even during Congress Regimes. The real problem is not with the bugging. Collection of Information, even personal information, private information is UNAVOIDABLE. The problem is with the misuse of information collected with bugs and through tapping. There are dangers of blackmailing by Police employees themselves. Unfortunately, in this country, though of course, on a smaller scale, when compared to other countries, even defence secrets have been sold by some unscrupulous employees in connivance with alien Agents and Spies. Thus, there is a need for surveillance on everybody, and also there is a grave risk of misuse of surveillance apparatus(es). This is in spite of availability of Safe-guards.

Though as a matter of principle, every part of India and every person of India needs to be carefully watched over, priorities may vary. Nothing can be left out, if we see how Pakisthan Terror bosses sent their terrorists into Mumbai on boats, disguised as fishermen, for carrying out their blasts in Taj Hotel. Dangers can come even from most unexpected places, at most unexpected times.

The problem with our Rulers in their using Intelligence Bureaus, Informers, Spies, mufty constables is-- Rulers want specific information about matters of their own personal concern. And not in the matters which concern the country. For this reason only, our Intelligence Bureaus, Informers, Spies, mufty constables are not able to concentrate in collecting information which India requires. They collect the information about "what the boss wants" and ignore "what the country needs".

Those who want to have specific example of this type of Spy-behavior, they can see Valmiki Ramayana, Uttara Kanda, Sarga 46, Verse No. 3. What Lord Shri Ramachandra wanted to know from his Intelligence Bureau Informer Bhadra. No disrespect intended towards our sacred scripture Valmiki Ramayana.

This (mis?)use of Intelligence Agencies and their Resources, will often give rise to the question of "Practicability" or "Impracticability" of Surveillance and Inforamtion Gathering.

This is a subject, which needs a thousand pages to discuss. Besides, the subject is so delicate that it may irritate the Powers that be. We can only wish, howsoever feeble it may end-up in its final result, that our Intelligence Gathering Apparatuses, Agencies, Resources, Equipments (such as jammers, phone-tappers etc.) are to put to their legitimate use. For that, our Rulers have to change their philosophies and thinking. They are too much self-centred.

Our Information Systems, Entrances to Computer Hardware Rooms, our Computer Systems, their Passwords, other Strong Rooms, Bank Safes, ATMs, everything appear to be safe, and fool-proof on their face. Yet, deviations do take place, and some loss or other takes place, either because the stipulated systems and procedures are not followed or the systems themselves have loopholes for exploiters to exploit.

The danger to this country can come even from a remote University or Madarsa or Monastery or from any other most unexpected location or situation or organisation. While China and Pakisthan are known dangers, we cannot ignore or under-rate our own internal enemies.

694 Part 5 of JNU Affairs- Did Sitaram Yechuri give a business of US$70 billion to China?

An impression is being created that all the dirty people in India, are being created by JNU alone primarily, and some other Public Sector Universities in India. if 3000 condoms were consumed in JNU, can we say that all the condoms have been consumed only by students sympathising Marxism? Prior to election of Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar, ABVP leaders were said to be leading the JNU. JNU Students may be a composite mixture of different backgrounds. Besides, they learn from the Delhi Metropolitan Civilisation. Consuming 3000 condoms might have been a joint effort of all the students, both male and female. It is a part of the joint efforts of the nearly 15 million Delhi Citizens. University is only a sub-system, in the monstrous system DELHI.

We shall take a small quote from the Edit page dated 11th March 2016, of Andhra Bhoomi.Net, a Telugu Daily, and see how the information has been presented? Why the Daily could not present a balanced view?

Approx. English gist: "...Recently, a research took place on the JNU, New Delhi. In it, some astonishing details, have come to light. About 3,000 condoms were found. Drugs, and injection needles were found. Substances like Heroin, are being supplied to the University. From Kashmir, terrorists have entered into the University, and are carrying on their activities. This University itself is producing every year, forces biased towards China, like Yechuru Sitaram. ..."

The above is a very small part of an Editorial in the Telugu Daily "Andhrabhoomi.net", the Chief Editorial of which is Shri M.V.R. Sastry. The Daily is owned by the Deccan Chronicle Group, which is a Congress sympathiser.

We shall take up the issue of condoms, drugs, heroin, Kashmir terrorists etc. in separate blog posts.

We shall, for this particular blog post, take up the allegation that JNU is producing forces biased towards China, like Yechuri Sitaram.

Known Facts: China occupied nearly 36,000 sq.miles of Ladakh, NEFA (Arunachal Pradesh, present name) -Indian Territory in 1962 October. Nearly 20,000 Indian soldiers sacrificed their lives defending our borders. Entire Nation rose in Unity, contributed their might to the Defence Funds. Children, adolescents, youth, middle aged persons, very old persons, irrespective of their age chanted "China go back" sincerely, straining their vocal chords.

A faction of the CPI, was confused about China's true IMPERIALIST NATURE. They could not come out of their bondage to China, believing that China was a genuine Communist Nation. They did not realise that THE GREAT LONG MARCH itself was a big hoax. Like flies which were caught in a spider's web, they were trying to defend Chinese actions. CPIM (CPM) and other splinter groups which had some sympathies towards China had separated themselves from the pro-Soviet, pro-Congress CPI. It is all known History. Mr. Sitaram Yechuri, too might have emerged as a National Leader of CPIM from those China-Sympathy groups.

Okay, as wished by the Andhra Bhoomi, we shall admit that Mr. Sitaram Yechuri is a China-slave-bhootam (devil, ghost) produced by JNU. They and other Communist Leaders all deserve to be branded as Traitors, charged with sedition, and shot in fake encounters. Now, here are some questions:

China has not stepped back even an inch from the 36,000 sq. miles it occupied. In the occupied territory, it has built a Highway, to connect with Pakisthan. There are reports that China is also building a Railway line into Pakisthan, through the Occupied Indian Territory. China issues "Stapled Passports for Indians from Kashmir visiting China". This obnoxious practice, it seems to have discontinued. very recently after great Indian efforts.

China continues to show Ladakh, and entire State of Arunachal Pradesh as its own Territories in all its maps. Chinese Armies make frequent incursions into Indian Territories. China makes frivolous and nasty statements about Arunachal Pradesh.

China continues to obstruct the admission of India, as a permanent Member into the Security Council. It forgets its past history, when India supported the admission of China into the Security Council.

China fully arms Pakisthan, and trains the Pak Army , Navy and Airforce, though Pakistan sends Islamic Uighur (Uyghur) Terrorists into China. China does not take into cognizance of the terrorist character of Pakisthan.

China is trying to wean away Nepal from India, by creating discontentment in the landlocked kingdom.

Irrespective of political parties, how many Prime Ministers, Central Cabinet Ministers, State Chief Ministers, MPs, MLAs, visited China, with begging bowls to invest in India? By begging China to invest in Indian businesses, are they not inviting China to invade Indian Factories and take them over? If Chinese become owners of Indian factories, should Indians work as Security Guards at Entrance, to salute their Chinese Masters?

How many Indian Industrialists and Business Magnets visited China, and invested Indian Funds in China? By doing that, they are exporting the Indian Wealth to China, and strengthening it, while impoverishing India.

Today India's trade with China is about $70 billion. Indian Trade deficit is about 30-40 billion dollars. That means India buys about $ 50 billion worth goods from China, while China buys from India goods worth only $ 20 billion. Is it not a fact that we are gradually losing our capabilities to produce even simple things like pant pieces, leaving aside laptops and smartphones?

Who formed a Country-Group called BRICS? (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa). Did Sitaram Yechuri produced by JNU create this ? Who attends the Summits of this Group? Does Sitaram Yechuri attend?

Did Sitaram Yechuri, produced by JNU, manage to generate all this Trade Deficit?

Are not our Prime Ministers, Presidents, Vice Presidents, Foreign Ministers, Chief Ministers, crazy of China (includes Macau !) ?

It may be necessary to extend due diplomatic courtesies to a Neighboring country, its Head of State, and Head of Government. But, should that mean, we are obliged to give them a business of $70 billion, and enrich them, at the cost of our own domestic industry, and our livelihood occupations?

On the other hand, students in a University, tend to be immature. They need counselling. Besides, hailing from poor families of backward States like Bihar, they will be exposed to numerous temptations placed before them as baits by organisations like LET, ISI, Isis. It is the duty of the State to keep a secret watch on every activity going on Universities, on every person studying and working in Universities, and counsel the students in a paternalist benevolent manner, using persuasion. After every effort fails to correct them, the BrahmAstra of Charge of Sedition, Incarceration etc. should come, with solid evidence, and not just based on doctored video-tapes.

Now, what charges are to be made against our Presidents, Prime Ministers, Central Cabinet Ministers, State Chief Ministers, MPs, MLAs, Indian Bureaucrats, Indian Businessmen, who forget about the sacrifices made-and-being made by our soldiers defending our territories in Himalayan Glaciers, and every year gift a business of US$ 70 billion to China in a gold plater? Are they dES bhaktas, or dEs drOhis? Are only students of JNU, dES drOhis?

It is not my idea to find fault with our beloved Prime Minister. What I wish to clearly say is, that Government of India may have to reorient itself and its policies towards China. Again, I do not wish to say that we should enter into a conflict or war with China. I mean to say, that we should be alert and cautious. If we ourselves are NOT clean, what is the use of blaming China or Pakisthan? We should not get panicky, and rub wrong people at wrong points at wrong times with abrasives.

693 Part 4, of Kanhaiya Kumar is on Slippery Steps कन्हय्या कुमार रपटीला मार्ग में जाते जाते, जाते, फिसलन सीठियों पर नाच रहा है। కన్హయ్యా కుమార్ జారుడు మెట్లపై నృత్యం చేస్తున్నాడు

By a sheer quirk of fate of incidents, Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar, the JNU Students Union Leader, hailing from a poor family of Bihar was catapulted to an artificially raised celebrity status. In today's India of Moolah, a person without lucre, cannot stabilise himself. A person who can shower currency, even where a sprinkling is needed, can alone survive and shine. Surrounding persons may lend money to a poor person for sometime for their own personal reasons, but it will come only with strings, and with a high price, monetary or otherwise.

We shall start with some links, which indicate the slippery grounds on which Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar is standing, while fighting his case of Sedition.

1. Link: Click to go to deccanchronicle.com/nation/current-affairs/100316/kanhaiya-kumar-was-fined-by-jnu-for-alleged-misbehaviour-with-girl-student.html' .

For complete details of the incident, Readers will pl. see the Deccan Chronicle link above. The DC news also contains the girl's side of the happenings, her anxieties.

ybrao-a-donkey's provisional observation: The atmosphere is excessively polluted now. Before anything can be written honestly about this, normalcy has to come back. Prima facie, Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar seems to have erred, in case he called the complaining girl a psychopath, and warned her of dire consequences. It will become a sort of verbal assault, and threat.

Another question which may have to be looked into: Whether the proctor who investigated the girl's complaint, and fined Kanhaiya Kumar, Rs. 3,000/-, DID HE HEAR THE KANHAIYA KUMAR'S SIDE OF NARRATION ? Did he follow the maxim "Audi Alterim Partem? (Hear the other party)"? If so, what was the explanation furnished by Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar? Whether any witnesses were examined from both sides?

The Proctor should have sent the complaint to a Police Station of an appropriate jurisdiction for registration of a case, investigation, if Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar violated Indian Penal Code. Whether Mr. Kumar has violated Indian Penal Code or not will depend on facts of the case, and the statements of the witnesses. The Proctor has not apparently followed the due process. Levying a penalty of Rs. 3,000/- on a poor dalit student, whose mother's monthly income is just Rs. 3,000/- seems to be on a high side. This type of unilateral actions by Proctors, University Authorities can lead to genuine grievances of bias against "dalit" students.

About urinating at a Public Place: This is a part of National Culture of India. It has been going on since Centuries. This habit is not limited to only students. And urinating to walls is done not only by ASF students of the Communist Beliefs, but also by students of all beliefs, including Hindutva. This habit has to get corrected, by counselling through mass communication media, by organising meetings of students and inducting civilities and politenesses into their minds. It cannot be done in one day. Additional toilets will have to be built both for gents and Ladies at all likely places where an urge to urinate is likely to arise (just like accident-prone spots on a National Highway). I must say that Ladies suffer a lot in this respect, because where toilets are not available, they cannot urinate or defacate in open, whereas men can do by custom. Their urinary chambers, might have evolved over Centuries to accommodate more and more urine, depending on exigencies. But, we must recognise that they are the worst sufferers in this respect, when compared to men.

SOME PERSONAL EXPERIENCES YBRAO-a-donkey, NOT entirely irrelevant

I visited Delhi as a Tourist in 1978, while I was returning from a Training at Chandigarh. For Delhi Local site-seeing we boarded a Tourist bus run by a Private Travel Agency. They have packed a very tight sight seeing schedule, to be completed from morning to evening, with very short halts at different tourist spots.

After seeing Red Fort, and the "FRONT" side platform from which Prime Ministers make their Annual Independence Day Speeches, one or two passengers in our bus, started feeling an unstoppable urge to urinate. They said they can't wait long. Then, the guide who was conducting the Trip, showed a part of the tall wall of the Red Fort and asked them to urinate. That particular wall of the Red Fort was already dirty and wet, which meant that some Tourists and Citizens might have already urinated there. Adding two more persons didn't make any difference. Note: This happened in 1978. Things might have changed in Delhi, by 2016.

This happened a few years back. I was travelling in an RTC Bus, passing through a semi-urban place called "Pedanandipadu" in Guntur District. When this incident took place, I have become old, and developed a urinary incontinence (unstoppable urge to urinate, though only a few drops of output). In good old days, A.P.S.R.T.C. (Andhra Pradesh State RTC) Buses used to stop in Official Bus Stations with Toilet Facilities. Now-a-days, for marketing reasons, they have developed a habit of taking passengers at Market Chowrastas, and started avoiding regular visits to the Official Bus Stations which are situated in outskirts. I, suffering from a constant urge to urinate somehow, requested the Conductor and the Driver to take the bus to the RTC Bus Station, so that I can visit the toilets. Unfortunately, they did not oblige. They have their own compulsions.

Then I got down from the bus on the road itself, and searched for a place where I can ease myself. There were shops continuously. There were cart vendors. It was very hard to find a place to urinate. After some search, I found a somewhat semi-dry lake, in which buffaloes were swimming. The lake and its four banks have benches. For some years, it seems to have been well maintained. It was a Panchayat drinking water tank, which they may be filling from Nagarjuna Sagar Canal. There was some open place on the big road's margins. Since, buffaloes were swimming in the Tank, I wanted to take some risk of bad-behavior, and urinate on the road margin, though it is adjacent to the tank. The moment I unzipped my pant, a person came shouting, and started abusing me with profanities. I apologised to him, but he did not accept. He continued shouting . I zipped my pant, and left the place. His shouts, I heard for another 200 metres. After walking further 400 meters or so, I reached the Official Bus Station, went to the formal urinals and completed my task. Later, I board another bus, bought a fresh ticket, and continued my journey.

Link: Click to go to deccanchronicle.com/nation/current-affairs/110316/kanhaiya-kumar-s-picture-with-female-friend-goes-viral.html

The above Deccan Chronicle news contains the indignation of Kanhaiya Kumar, and his respectable friend. At this particular moment, I can only add that things have not changed in hundred years, since the days of Swami Vivekananda till 2016. We shall take this up in the forthcoming blogposts. In the meantime, those who know Telugu language can read Late Balivada Kanta Rao's novel "Sampangi".

For any issue, there will be two sides. The same is the case with male-female friendships, and how the society looks at friendships.

690 Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar seems to be making serious errors. If Mr. Sitaram Yechury sends him to Bengal, he will become a Narendra Modi for CPM !

Mr. Kanhaiyakumar, the student leader of JNU, who was arrested recently on "Sedition Charges" and released on bail, seems to be slipping again. He seems to be violating his bail conditions. If he is arrested again, he may not get his bail. Here is a quote attributed to him, of his having said on 8th March 2016, on the occasion of the Womens' Day.

"...No matter how much you try to stop us, we will speak up against human rights violations. We will raise our voice against AFSPA. While we have a lot of respect for our soldiers, we will still talk about the fact that in Kashmir women are raped by security personnel..."

ybrao-a-donkey's humble comments. वैबीराव एक गधे के विनम्र राय . వైబీరావ్ గాడిద వినమ్ర వాణి. You have every right to differ with me. I respect your right. However, pl. examine this donkey's views also.

Generalisations can be extremely dangerous, both to himself and to the security of the country. Stray cases of rapes in Kashmir, might have take place, at an "individual soldier" level. If any such instances have come to the notice of Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar, the right Courses of Action for him would have been

1. motivate the suffering woman to file a Criminal Complaint at a Police Station, and if necessary also with the appropriate Army Authorities (superiors of the soldier)

2. If no action is taken by police in spite of Police Complaint , or complaint to the Army Authorities, Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar can help the victim to approach National Human Rights Commission, National Women's Commission.

3. He can also help her to file a private case, with the help of some service-oriented Lawyers, in a Magistrate Court.

Even after all the steps enumerated above, if nobody bothers about the particular victim, Mr. Kumar and his associates can take the help of MPs of any party including his own Party, or the CPI, for using their good Offices to follow up the case.

After trying everything, if he still finds there is no solution, he can approach through PILs in High Courts under Article 226, or Supreme Court under Article 32.

Specific Cases of Rape whether in Kashmir, Gujarat, or in any other part of India, Media will not normally overlook, if it goes to their Notice. Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar or his affiliated Political Party can take up the issue with Media, and arrange for vide Publicity. Then the Army Authorities, Police Authorities, Administrators will definitely take some action.

Rape is a personal crime, committed by the soldier in his personal capacity. For such crimes, Indian Penal Code, normal Civilian Acts such as Nirbhaya Act will invariably apply. AFPSPA will not apply. Protection of AFPSPA will be available only when soldiers do something in their Official Capacity, under orders from their superiors.

By generalising things, by making wild allegations, Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar will be handing over a stick to Pakisthan, to beat India with.

Wild allegations, demoralise the Indian Army Jawans, wherever they are fighting. Just as Civilians are not rapists, Soldiers cannot be rapists. Because of immaturity, may be owing to age, Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar may be crossing limits in making allegations against Indian Army. By making generalisations, and wild allegations, Mr. Kumar will be giving a stick to ABVP and BJP, to beat him with.

If we say that JNU Students are rapists or debauchers, simply because some condoms are found in the premises of JNU, we shall be doing grave injustice to JNU. Same is the case with Indian Army.

TAIL PIECE धुम केतु తోక చుక్క

According to reports, it seems that Mr. Seetharam Yechury wanted to use Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar for electioneering in West Bengal, against Ms. Mamata Banerjee.

That will be dangerous. It can be as suicidal as Mr. L.K. Advani's, Mr. A.B. Vajpayee's, Mr. Murli Manohar Joshi's encouraging Mr. Narendra Modi, by sending him to Gujarat as CM. By doing that, they might have learnt their lessons.

Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar seems to have some similarities with Mr. Narendra Modi, and Mr. Arvind Kejriwal. He is capable of overturning Mr. Seetharam Yechury, Mr. Prakash Karat, and everybody in CPM hierarchy.

When he says that he does not want to enter Politics, I get an impression that he is trying to preserve the cake and also eat it too, at the same time. He seems to be hoping for a Professor's Job, and then throw stones against Indian Army during his spare time, while drawing his salary from Indian Exchequer. As a person hailing from a poor family, the One lakh bucks he may get by becoming a Professor, may be very valuable for him. (It is how Prof. Kodanda Ram of Osmania University worked for Telangana State. While drawing his salary from his University, without teaching anything, he seems to have worked in the Telangana JAC. In my personal view, it is a sort of cheating. My readers need not agree with me).

Working like a true duty-bound Professor, can also be a service to the Nation, and to the Leftism, even without imposing Leftist views on the Students. In fact, parents or teachers or Professors can never really influence their wards by teaching, preaching, advising, lecturing, etc. etc. By their behavior, they demonstrate to their children / students. If the children / students, find that their father /teacher / lecturer / Professor was worthy of emulation, they will voluntarily emulate. Else, they will learn from the Environment. No need to worry. A Motivator's job will be just to furnish information, and make it available to the "targeted persons / groups".

686 (Part 2 of Kanhaiya-JNU)-- Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar has a long way to go, and change a lot!

I have today downloaded a Hindi video of AzAdi speech of Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar, a Student Leader of JNU, Delhi. On going through the video, it appeared that his speech contains as much RHETORIC as the speeches of Ms. Smriti Irani, Union HRD Minister, in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, when she made Statements, and answered questions about Kanhaiya Kumar and Rohit Vemula. Like Ms. Smriti Irani, Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar also seems to have prepared and rehearsed his speech. Both Ms. Irani, and Mr. Kumar have great talent of Expressions, bewitching body language, voice modulation, abilities to stop and interact with the audience to extract favourable reactions etc. etc.

NOTE: This particular blog post is in a semi-finished state. It requires drastic revision, including change of view. Pl. bear with me.

In the video, people who were behind Mr. Kumar, seemed to be his supporters smiling and clapping , definitely not a neutral audience, just as we can see in the Parliament Videos, Ms. Smriti Irani behind her BJP MPs smiling and clapping.

For those who wish to read the salient points in English, of Kanhaiya Kumar's Speech, popular on Net as "AzAdi" speech. Link: Click to go to ndTV.com for important points of the speech

Subsequent to this Azadi Speech, Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar has given an Interview to theWire.com. Here is a link to theWire.com: Link: Click to go to theWire.Com for the interview.

For those who wish to download /view the 46 minutes Hindi video of the above speech from Youtube.Com, which runs about 28 mb. Link: Click to go to

We shall take one question from the interview as a sample:-

"...You mentioned in your speech a lot of the informal discussions you had with the police, how you were able to put forth you side of things to them. But what was it like in the ‘interrogations’? What kind of questions did they ask you?

They would give me questionnaires, say one would have about 20 questions. For me, about 19 of those 20 would be answered by ‘I don’t know’. Their questions were of the type, ‘who were the organisers of the programme?’, I said ‘I don’t know’, ‘Who were present there?’, I would say ‘I don’t know’, and so forth. There were no particularly complicated questions. But this is also a part of the investigation, I am not allowed to talk about it much. We respect the legal system. But I can say that altogether, the last 22 days were definitely a good experience. Now I understand the difference between studying a system and bearing it’s burden. ..."

Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar is not an innocent villager. He is highly educated and intelligent Ph.D. Student. When somebody requests him to speak in a meeting , that too when he intends to talk for a considerable time, how is it that he didn't know or how he did n't inquire from the inviting persons, who the organisers of the Meeting were, the purpose of the Meeting, who the other speakers were, agenda, how many people and who will be attending as audience etc. ?

Out of ten questions, for nine questions, how could he say that he didn't know? If the questions asked by the Police were totally unendurable, he should make public the questions he faced, and the answers he had given. The people will try to gauge, how fair were the Police in directing their questions to him. People of India, are aware of torturous methods of Police Questioning for extracting confessions from accused, but such methods are intended for those who do not have "celebrity status". Now, that Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar has a "celebrity status", the High Court and the Supreme Court are watching, there is a Media glare, it is highly unlikely that the Police would have put to him such coercive questions.

An English Version of the First Speech given by Mr. Kumar, which led to an imposition of Sedition Charges against him, is available at Link: Click to go to English Version of the First Speech at dbsjeyaraj.com . I could not get the text of his Hindi Speech at the JNU, instead of an English translation.

This speech is deeply political. This speech reflects the deep-rooted animosities which were rampant between the followers of Veer Savarkar and Late Golwalkar (2nd Head of RSS) represented by A.B.V.P. on one side, and the followers of Baba Saheb Ambedkar on the other side. For nursing that type of animosities, Universities cannot become Centers, whatever be the reasons for those animosities.

Whether it is Savarkar/Golwalkar or B.R. Ambedkar or Karl Marx or Mahatma Gandhi, obsessions with any one particular teaching, that those teachings alone are correct, and others are absolutely incorrect, can lead to conflicts between followers. We can't get perfect black or perfect white scenarios. There are bound to be gray areas. Even Manu Smriti has some merits and some demerits.

Unfortunately, oppression of the "losers in wars" by the Winners, condemning the losers to the outskirts of villages, and confining them to abominable occupations, went on in India for several Centuries. Only during the 20th Century, particularly after 1947, we have made a beginning to correct all such historical blunders. In the implementation part, several errors have taken place and are taking place. But, we are on the right path.

But, as I have already pointed out in many of of my blog posts, complete redressal of Grievances of the Oppressed Classes is possible only through True Total Socialism and Equalism. Complete redressals are not possible through half-hearted measures such as Reservations, preparation of separate Budgets, somebody becoming President of India or Governor of a State or a CJI. They are like palliatives and placebos, ointments and pain killers.

Fortunately, we have democracy in India, with adult suffrage. Since 80% of India's population are de-facto poor, are practising abominable occupations, not sufficient even for subsistence, are facing extreme risks of poverty-disease-insults and death, whatever be their caste, all such people ought to have voted for Parties which support true Socialism and Equalism. But, it is not happening. At least 75% of this 80% oppressed poor of India (which includes the Native Place and Native State of Bihar) i.e. 60% of the total voters, are voting for bourgeoisie parties, bringing them into power. For example, the Communist Party of India (CPI), to which Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar belongs to, contested a number of seats in Bihar. But did the dalits, and others who represent the Oppressed of Bihar support, CPI? Why didn't they elect at least 10 MLAs?

IN his first speech, Mr. Kumar pointed out BJP came to power with only 31% vote. But, it is common in Indian Elections. Congress too came to power with around 1/3 of votes polled, only. If CPI or CPM come to power either at Centre or in any State, there also it will be only with 1/3 of votes. There are several reasons for it. Hence, there is no use of blaming BJP for it.

It appears that, Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar chose to do his Ph.D. Research at JNU, on African Studies. I greatly appreciate that he had chosen to study the problems of African Countries and the African Peoples. In fact, I have my self, some years back spent sometime studying the problems of African Peoples, by collecting information on African Poverty, and publish at my blog Link: Click to go to Africayb.blogspot.com blog of ybrao-a-donkey. I could not continue it, as I thought that my focus should be getting Atheism and Marxism for Indian Society. Unless, Indian voters upgrade themselves into True Atheists, True Socialists and True Equalists, it cannot become a Joyful Nation. Until then, Indians cannot really help African Poor.

The key problem area which I have identified in motivating Oppressed Classes to vote for Leftist Parties, is Poor People have

1. no time. Their entire day's time is spent on eking out their livelihood.

2. no money. Their entire earnings are spent on basic needs.

3. Running political parties and contesting elections involves huge expenditures.

4. Organisation of Public Meetings and Rallies are beyond the means of the Poor.

5. Indian poor are extremely indebted. For various needs such as medical expenses, funerals, weddings, education fees, etc., they are under great pressure to borrow.

6. Indian poor have become slaves of "expensive habits" such as smoking, alcohol, First-day Cinema viewing, downloads of audios and videos. (If rich people become slaves of bad habits, and throw away their bucks, it is irrelevant for the purpose of the cause of the Poor). When the Election day comes, they get pressures from money lenders to repay their loans. Facing insults from money lenders, the Voters find "selling vote" as the only solution for their problem. The top priority is to push the monstrous "money lenders" at least for some days.

All these problems cannot be solved through University Student Unions, and raising slogans.

Afzal Guru, Yakoub Momen, Maqbool Bhat etc. cannot be our top priorities.

Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar tried to compare the "Soldiers laying down their lives, while defending this country", with "farmer suicides". These two are "uncomparables". Both are top Priority Areas, of equal priority. Bourgeoisie Parties raise these issues, depending on their Vote-Bank Needs. For example, if Mr. Modi goes to Vidarbha, and if Congress is in Power in Maharashtra, he will raise the issue of Farmer Suicides. Rahul Gandhi will visit a BJP State and shout about Farmer Suicides. CPI to which Mr. Kumar belongs, and CPM are also not exceptions.

In his speeches, in certain respects, Mr. Kumar has similarities with Mr. Aravind Kejriwal. People of India, the Voters of Delhi, Mr. Anna Hazare, Mr. Prashant Bhushan, Mr. Yogendra Yadav et al. have already learnt some lessons from Mr. Kejriwal.

It is likely, that Mr. Kumar may also go the way of Mr. Kejriwal.

Question: What is your final suggestion?

Ans: The plate of Mr. Kumar will be full, next two years, attending courts, Police Stations, making speeches, addressing Media persons.

It will be better, if Mr. Kumar finds time, and makes some effort to complete his Ph.D. in African Studies. In future, he may not get this opportunity.

As long as Ms. Irani is the HRD Minister, it is unlikely that she will stop her efforts to saffronise Govt. Universities. Besides, all the Governments in India, of all Parties, are hell bent upon privatising Higher Education. As far as I can recollect, Mr. Sujana Choudary, once asked Indian Universities to find their own resources, and not to expect funds from GOI.

Hence, it is unlikely that Mr. Kumar will get employment in Indian Universities, not to speak of Foreign Universities.

First, Mr. Kumar has to find dependable part-time employment for himself. Remaining time, he can devote for upgrading the Indian Poor Voters.

I have not myself studied in any Day-College full-time, not to speak of studying in prestigious Universities like JNU. My acquiring four degrees and four diplomas, with one All-India top rank, one University level Gold Medal, every course was done in Evening Colleges or through Distance Education Courses. Studies help us to acquire skills. Some of the about 97 subjects I tried to study, a few of them have really helped me in getting a reasonably correct understanding of the problems of Indian Poor, apart from real life personal experiences in Poverty. Of course, time was also wasted on some useless subjects such as Micro Economic Theory, Demand Curves etc (I do not believe in the Western Economic Theories).

The days of Public Sector Employment in Educational Sector, seem to be nearing their fag end.

The Paradox is, the Poor themselves are not interested in studying their own problems. They want immediate solutions, without their own active participation. They want Cash.

The use of "SatyamEva jayatE" both by Mr. Narendra Modi and by Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar are just slogans. SatyamEva jayatE literal meaning for the benefit of non-Indian Readers: Truth alone Triumphs.

As far as World History (which includes Indian History) goes, there is no proof of Truth alone succeeding over "untruth". Sometimes, "truth" succeeds. Sometimes "untruths" succeed. It is not even ALTERNATING or CYCLICAL or ROTATIONAL like seasons. Colonialism, Slave Trade, World Financial Markets, Law Courts, why pin point this, or that !

A winner will always give the slogan "satyamEva jayatE", showing his two fingers in "V" angle of Victory, even if all his actions are nothing but bogus ! Losers will throw the blame on something else, and renew their efforts, whether they are really fighting for "Truth" or not. Hence "SatyamE JayatE" has become a cliche and jargon owing to overuse.

Packing is more important today, than the contents of the package, intrinsic value(s) of the contents. Attractively packed, even untruths can circulate as TRUTHS (satyam), and can get acceptability for the maxim "satyamEva jayatE".

The maxim that some people may be cheated at some places, on some occasions, and that people cannot be cheated all the times at all places, may not ALWAYS APPLY, at least in short and medium term. In long run, truth may, sometimes, emerge victorious. In Telugu, we have a proverb: "nijam nilakaDa mIda telustundi నిజం నిలకడ మీద తెలుస్తుంది.". Approx. English: Truth will be known, over a stable period of time. (We cannot know the truth in a hurry. Sometimes, we have to wait).

But, in long run, we shall all be dead. For example, Robert Clive did the greatest crimes in India in the 18th Century, on behalf of the East India Company. He gifted copiously (to) the British Royalty of his period. They were also made happy. But, will U.K. accept the truth, and refund all the treasures robbed and sent to England, by Clive? Same thing applies to Wellesly, Dalhousie. Then, where is the SatyamEva jayatE, even in long run?

682, Senior Leaders have to maintain decency. They can't be petty!!!

Mr. Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Union Minister for Urban Development, is a very Senior BJP Leader, and a Former President of BJP. He has a very sharp tongue. It may help him to occupy cushy positions, and his party for creating hurtful noises against its opponents. It does not help the Nation in any way. It does not reflect the character of an All India level intellectual. Of course, sometimes, it may have some nuissance value, like the writings of this ybrao-a-donkey.

Mr. Venkaiah Naidu is reported to have advised Kanhayah Kumar, the Student Leader of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) as under:-- Link: Click to go to Deccanchronicle.com.

"...They must study and stay away from politics. If they are interested in politics, they can leave studies and join politics. He can join any political party. His favourite party is now in single digit in the Parliament. Let him join that party. ..."

The advice and suggestions of Mr. Venkaiah Naidu should apply to the A.B.V.P. also. Will Mr. Venkaiah Naidu dare to give this advice to ABVP?

In 1984, BJP was also a single digit party with in Lok Sabha, with just two MPs. Fortunes of Parties vary depending upon on a number of factors. The manner in which Indian Economy is being managed, even BJP can become a single digit party by 2019. In fact it is the dissatisfaction of the People of India with the Economic Management of this Nation by the UPA, they have taught a lesson to Congress by bringing BJP to power. This does not mean that BJP and its allies will be voted to power for ever. As a Senior leader, Mr. Venkaiah Naidu ought to realise this.

In India, elections involve spending of billions. Left Parties cannot mobilise such billions. Unless damn sure that Left Parties are going to win, Industrialists will not fund Left Parties. It will be a harakiri for Left Parties to accept funds from Industrialists. Such an act goes against the very basic philosophy of Socialism and Marxism.

Besides, people have a fetish for bourgeoisie parties. Indian voters are corrupt and lazy. Yet, a day may come when people realise their mistakes. In reality, there should be competition among Left Parties to win over Indian voters. Sadly enough, Left Parties in India today have become "tails" of bourgeoisie Parties.

Mr. Venkaiah Naidu hails from Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. How many seats does his party get in Residual Andhra Pradesh in Telangana? In both the States it rode piggy-back on Telugu Desam Party. What advice will he give to ABVP Leaders of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, because BJP is a single DIGIT Party in both the States? Even in Delhi, BJP is a single digit Party!!!

Mr. Venkaiah Naidu himself migrated to neighboring Karnataka, to get a Rajya Sabha seat. Now, BJP leaders are said to be thinking of exporting him to Madhya Pradesh.

The role of Mr. Venkaiah Naidu in helping Mr. Narendra Modi and Mr. Arun Jaitley, to ditch the stalwarts of BJP, Mr. L.K. Advani and Mr. Murli Manohar Joshi is well-known.

The role of Mr. Venkaiah Naidu in the forced bisection of the United State of Andhra Pradesh, by making false promises of Special Status, Railway Zone, Polavaram Project, Fillingup budget revenue deficit, New Railway Zone, etc. etc. are well known. For all those never-realised promises, he accepted some felicitations also, funded by industrialists.

MINDSET OF LEADERS BOURGEOISIE PARTIES

Leaders of "Land-lord" Parties, and "Industrialist" Parties, can never understand the problems of the Deprived Sections and Classes. Apart from our leaders, most of our bureaucrats, judges, professionals, business persons, hail from LANDLORD and INDUSRIALIST Sections. They will joyfully co-operate with politicians, in continuing the oppression of poorer Sections in the Society.

Evils of the Society, are just seeping into the Universities. If the evils of the Society, outside the Universities can be rectified, there will be an automatic change in the environment of our Universities.

Mr. Kanhaya Kumar is in his youth. He does not know what is what. He needs guidance. But, the problem with today's youth is, they do not tolerate any guidance from others. Consequently, they will believe whatever they want to believe. 99% do not realise the consequences of what they do and what they canvass. By the time they realise that their perceptions were false, their physical activity slows down.

676 Part 1 Kanhaiya Affair- Sitaram Yechury (CPM) and Suravaram Sudhakara Reddy (CPI) should talk to Retd. Lt. Gen. S.K.

(Retd.) Lt. Gen. S.K.Sinha, Former Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, is not an Old Fogey, out of tune with modern times for expressing his anguish at the tragic events at UOH, JNU, Patiala Courts etc. etc. The articles, he writes in Deccan Chronicle reflects not only his wide experience, but also a balance of mind, patriotic zeal, concern for the soldiers who guard our frontiers at field level overcoming all sorts of life risks and hardships.

Though his writings sometimes appear as though he is biased towards BJP, or right wing campaigners, we must realise that appearances can be deceptive. Prima facie, he is a fair person.

Here is a link to the Deccan Chronicle.Com, dated 26th Feb. 2016, "the-governor-general-s-files-a-crying-shame". This article is very much balanced. Link: Click to go to Deccanchronicle.com.

Two examples, I shall quote from this article, which shows his balance of mind.

"...Maqbool Bhat, responsible for killing Kashmiri Pandits and their ethnic cleansing; Yakub Memon, responsible for 257 fatalities in Bombay in 1993; Afzal Guru, responsible for the attack on the Indian Parliament; or Ajmal Kasab, the Pakistani terrorist who killed innocent citizens in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks have been hailed as heroes in JNU. ..."

"...The legitimacy of hanging can be questioned and different views expressed, but making these criminals seem like heroes is another matter. ..."

... ...

Kanhaiya Kumar, the president of the JNU Students’ Union, may have been wrongly apprehended.

qOvernight he has become a "national hero". I commend him for his forthright statement of loyalty to the Constitution. He is said to have made a similar statement in JNU when anti-India slogans like "Har ghar se Afzal niklega, Bharat ki barbadi tak jung rahegi, Pakistan zindabad" were being raised. I would have been happier if he had done something as president of JNUSU to counter such anti-national slogans or at least withdrawn from the scene as a mark of protest. I will not question these slogans being treasonable or seditious. Let legal luminaries split hair in regard to this.

ybrao-a-donkey's humble comments. वैबीराव एक गधे के विनम्र राय . వైబీరావ్ గాడిద వినమ్ర వాణి. You have every right to differ with me. I totally agree with what Lt. Gen. S.K. Sinha has written about the happenings in JNU. I, wish to highlight that Mr. Kanhaiahkumar should have left the stage when he found that anti-India slogans were being given by the supporters of Afzal Guru. Alternatively, at least he should have objected to the raising of Anti-India slogans, even if that would have resulted in his being beaten up.

The Communist Leaders both Shri Suravaram Sudhakara Reddy and Shri Sitaram Yechury seem to be out of alignment with the defence needs of this country, and the National Priorities. Both Mr. Sudhakara Reddy and Mr. Sitaram Yechury, appear to be immature before Lt. Gen. Sinha. This should not happen.

I hope that Shri Sudhakara Reddy and Shri Sitaram read this article of Lt. Gen. Sinha, and rethink about what they have done at JNU, and what they are going to do in Parliament. It is also important that they should not be carried away by the ilk of Mr. Rahul Gandhi and some Congress Leaders. CPI and CPM have to change a lot. Afzal Guru and Yakoub Momen cannot be priorities for Left Parties. They should also think of supporting our Armed Forces working at Field Level taking high risks of their lives. CPI and CPM leaders should go to the boundary line Camps, and try to lift the morale of our soldiers.

If BJP Government is unduly saffronising our Universities, that can be separately dealt with.

I also wish that BJP Government should effectively and fruitfully utilise the services of Lt. Gen. Sinha, who still seems to have the verve to work energetically for the country. He deserves a better recognition, which the Congress Government of 1983 , for its own reasons, deprieved him by denying him the position of the Army Chief.
