686 (Part 2 of Kanhaiya-JNU)-- Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar has a long way to go, and change a lot!

I have today downloaded a Hindi video of AzAdi speech of Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar, a Student Leader of JNU, Delhi. On going through the video, it appeared that his speech contains as much RHETORIC as the speeches of Ms. Smriti Irani, Union HRD Minister, in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, when she made Statements, and answered questions about Kanhaiya Kumar and Rohit Vemula. Like Ms. Smriti Irani, Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar also seems to have prepared and rehearsed his speech. Both Ms. Irani, and Mr. Kumar have great talent of Expressions, bewitching body language, voice modulation, abilities to stop and interact with the audience to extract favourable reactions etc. etc.

NOTE: This particular blog post is in a semi-finished state. It requires drastic revision, including change of view. Pl. bear with me.

In the video, people who were behind Mr. Kumar, seemed to be his supporters smiling and clapping , definitely not a neutral audience, just as we can see in the Parliament Videos, Ms. Smriti Irani behind her BJP MPs smiling and clapping.

For those who wish to read the salient points in English, of Kanhaiya Kumar's Speech, popular on Net as "AzAdi" speech. Link: Click to go to ndTV.com for important points of the speech

Subsequent to this Azadi Speech, Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar has given an Interview to theWire.com. Here is a link to theWire.com: Link: Click to go to theWire.Com for the interview.

For those who wish to download /view the 46 minutes Hindi video of the above speech from Youtube.Com, which runs about 28 mb. Link: Click to go to

We shall take one question from the interview as a sample:-

"...You mentioned in your speech a lot of the informal discussions you had with the police, how you were able to put forth you side of things to them. But what was it like in the ‘interrogations’? What kind of questions did they ask you?

They would give me questionnaires, say one would have about 20 questions. For me, about 19 of those 20 would be answered by ‘I don’t know’. Their questions were of the type, ‘who were the organisers of the programme?’, I said ‘I don’t know’, ‘Who were present there?’, I would say ‘I don’t know’, and so forth. There were no particularly complicated questions. But this is also a part of the investigation, I am not allowed to talk about it much. We respect the legal system. But I can say that altogether, the last 22 days were definitely a good experience. Now I understand the difference between studying a system and bearing it’s burden. ..."

ybrao-a-donkey's humble comments. वैबीराव एक गधे के विनम्र राय . వైబీరావ్ గాడిద వినమ్ర వాణి. You have every right to differ with me. However, pl. examine this donkey's views also.

Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar is not an innocent villager. He is highly educated and intelligent Ph.D. Student. When somebody requests him to speak in a meeting , that too when he intends to talk for a considerable time, how is it that he didn't know or how he did n't inquire from the inviting persons, who the organisers of the Meeting were, the purpose of the Meeting, who the other speakers were, agenda, how many people and who will be attending as audience etc. ?

Out of ten questions, for nine questions, how could he say that he didn't know? If the questions asked by the Police were totally unendurable, he should make public the questions he faced, and the answers he had given. The people will try to gauge, how fair were the Police in directing their questions to him. People of India, are aware of torturous methods of Police Questioning for extracting confessions from accused, but such methods are intended for those who do not have "celebrity status". Now, that Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar has a "celebrity status", the High Court and the Supreme Court are watching, there is a Media glare, it is highly unlikely that the Police would have put to him such coercive questions.

An English Version of the First Speech given by Mr. Kumar, which led to an imposition of Sedition Charges against him, is available at Link: Click to go to English Version of the First Speech at dbsjeyaraj.com . I could not get the text of his Hindi Speech at the JNU, instead of an English translation.

This speech is deeply political. This speech reflects the deep-rooted animosities which were rampant between the followers of Veer Savarkar and Late Golwalkar (2nd Head of RSS) represented by A.B.V.P. on one side, and the followers of Baba Saheb Ambedkar on the other side. For nursing that type of animosities, Universities cannot become Centers, whatever be the reasons for those animosities.

Whether it is Savarkar/Golwalkar or B.R. Ambedkar or Karl Marx or Mahatma Gandhi, obsessions with any one particular teaching, that those teachings alone are correct, and others are absolutely incorrect, can lead to conflicts between followers. We can't get perfect black or perfect white scenarios. There are bound to be gray areas. Even Manu Smriti has some merits and some demerits.

Unfortunately, oppression of the "losers in wars" by the Winners, condemning the losers to the outskirts of villages, and confining them to abominable occupations, went on in India for several Centuries. Only during the 20th Century, particularly after 1947, we have made a beginning to correct all such historical blunders. In the implementation part, several errors have taken place and are taking place. But, we are on the right path.

But, as I have already pointed out in many of of my blog posts, complete redressal of Grievances of the Oppressed Classes is possible only through True Total Socialism and Equalism. Complete redressals are not possible through half-hearted measures such as Reservations, preparation of separate Budgets, somebody becoming President of India or Governor of a State or a CJI. They are like palliatives and placebos, ointments and pain killers.

Fortunately, we have democracy in India, with adult suffrage. Since 80% of India's population are de-facto poor, are practising abominable occupations, not sufficient even for subsistence, are facing extreme risks of poverty-disease-insults and death, whatever be their caste, all such people ought to have voted for Parties which support true Socialism and Equalism. But, it is not happening. At least 75% of this 80% oppressed poor of India (which includes the Native Place and Native State of Bihar) i.e. 60% of the total voters, are voting for bourgeoisie parties, bringing them into power. For example, the Communist Party of India (CPI), to which Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar belongs to, contested a number of seats in Bihar. But did the dalits, and others who represent the Oppressed of Bihar support, CPI? Why didn't they elect at least 10 MLAs?

IN his first speech, Mr. Kumar pointed out BJP came to power with only 31% vote. But, it is common in Indian Elections. Congress too came to power with around 1/3 of votes polled, only. If CPI or CPM come to power either at Centre or in any State, there also it will be only with 1/3 of votes. There are several reasons for it. Hence, there is no use of blaming BJP for it.

It appears that, Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar chose to do his Ph.D. Research at JNU, on African Studies. I greatly appreciate that he had chosen to study the problems of African Countries and the African Peoples. In fact, I have my self, some years back spent sometime studying the problems of African Peoples, by collecting information on African Poverty, and publish at my blog Link: Click to go to Africayb.blogspot.com blog of ybrao-a-donkey. I could not continue it, as I thought that my focus should be getting Atheism and Marxism for Indian Society. Unless, Indian voters upgrade themselves into True Atheists, True Socialists and True Equalists, it cannot become a Joyful Nation. Until then, Indians cannot really help African Poor.

The key problem area which I have identified in motivating Oppressed Classes to vote for Leftist Parties, is Poor People have

1. no time. Their entire day's time is spent on eking out their livelihood.

2. no money. Their entire earnings are spent on basic needs.

3. Running political parties and contesting elections involves huge expenditures.

4. Organisation of Public Meetings and Rallies are beyond the means of the Poor.

5. Indian poor are extremely indebted. For various needs such as medical expenses, funerals, weddings, education fees, etc., they are under great pressure to borrow.

6. Indian poor have become slaves of "expensive habits" such as smoking, alcohol, First-day Cinema viewing, downloads of audios and videos. (If rich people become slaves of bad habits, and throw away their bucks, it is irrelevant for the purpose of the cause of the Poor). When the Election day comes, they get pressures from money lenders to repay their loans. Facing insults from money lenders, the Voters find "selling vote" as the only solution for their problem. The top priority is to push the monstrous "money lenders" at least for some days.

All these problems cannot be solved through University Student Unions, and raising slogans.

Afzal Guru, Yakoub Momen, Maqbool Bhat etc. cannot be our top priorities.

Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar tried to compare the "Soldiers laying down their lives, while defending this country", with "farmer suicides". These two are "uncomparables". Both are top Priority Areas, of equal priority. Bourgeoisie Parties raise these issues, depending on their Vote-Bank Needs. For example, if Mr. Modi goes to Vidarbha, and if Congress is in Power in Maharashtra, he will raise the issue of Farmer Suicides. Rahul Gandhi will visit a BJP State and shout about Farmer Suicides. CPI to which Mr. Kumar belongs, and CPM are also not exceptions.

In his speeches, in certain respects, Mr. Kumar has similarities with Mr. Aravind Kejriwal. People of India, the Voters of Delhi, Mr. Anna Hazare, Mr. Prashant Bhushan, Mr. Yogendra Yadav et al. have already learnt some lessons from Mr. Kejriwal.

It is likely, that Mr. Kumar may also go the way of Mr. Kejriwal.

Question: What is your final suggestion?

Ans: The plate of Mr. Kumar will be full, next two years, attending courts, Police Stations, making speeches, addressing Media persons.

It will be better, if Mr. Kumar finds time, and makes some effort to complete his Ph.D. in African Studies. In future, he may not get this opportunity.

As long as Ms. Irani is the HRD Minister, it is unlikely that she will stop her efforts to saffronise Govt. Universities. Besides, all the Governments in India, of all Parties, are hell bent upon privatising Higher Education. As far as I can recollect, Mr. Sujana Choudary, once asked Indian Universities to find their own resources, and not to expect funds from GOI.

Hence, it is unlikely that Mr. Kumar will get employment in Indian Universities, not to speak of Foreign Universities.

First, Mr. Kumar has to find dependable part-time employment for himself. Remaining time, he can devote for upgrading the Indian Poor Voters.

I have not myself studied in any Day-College full-time, not to speak of studying in prestigious Universities like JNU. My acquiring four degrees and four diplomas, with one All-India top rank, one University level Gold Medal, every course was done in Evening Colleges or through Distance Education Courses. Studies help us to acquire skills. Some of the about 97 subjects I tried to study, a few of them have really helped me in getting a reasonably correct understanding of the problems of Indian Poor, apart from real life personal experiences in Poverty. Of course, time was also wasted on some useless subjects such as Micro Economic Theory, Demand Curves etc (I do not believe in the Western Economic Theories).

The days of Public Sector Employment in Educational Sector, seem to be nearing their fag end.

The Paradox is, the Poor themselves are not interested in studying their own problems. They want immediate solutions, without their own active participation. They want Cash.

TAIL PIECE धूम केतु తోక చుక్క

The use of "SatyamEva jayatE" both by Mr. Narendra Modi and by Mr. Kanhaiya Kumar are just slogans. SatyamEva jayatE literal meaning for the benefit of non-Indian Readers: Truth alone Triumphs.

As far as World History (which includes Indian History) goes, there is no proof of Truth alone succeeding over "untruth". Sometimes, "truth" succeeds. Sometimes "untruths" succeed. It is not even ALTERNATING or CYCLICAL or ROTATIONAL like seasons. Colonialism, Slave Trade, World Financial Markets, Law Courts, why pin point this, or that !

A winner will always give the slogan "satyamEva jayatE", showing his two fingers in "V" angle of Victory, even if all his actions are nothing but bogus ! Losers will throw the blame on something else, and renew their efforts, whether they are really fighting for "Truth" or not. Hence "SatyamE JayatE" has become a cliche and jargon owing to overuse.

Packing is more important today, than the contents of the package, intrinsic value(s) of the contents. Attractively packed, even untruths can circulate as TRUTHS (satyam), and can get acceptability for the maxim "satyamEva jayatE".

The maxim that some people may be cheated at some places, on some occasions, and that people cannot be cheated all the times at all places, may not ALWAYS APPLY, at least in short and medium term. In long run, truth may, sometimes, emerge victorious. In Telugu, we have a proverb: "nijam nilakaDa mIda telustundi నిజం నిలకడ మీద తెలుస్తుంది.". Approx. English: Truth will be known, over a stable period of time. (We cannot know the truth in a hurry. Sometimes, we have to wait).

But, in long run, we shall all be dead. For example, Robert Clive did the greatest crimes in India in the 18th Century, on behalf of the East India Company. He gifted copiously (to) the British Royalty of his period. They were also made happy. But, will U.K. accept the truth, and refund all the treasures robbed and sent to England, by Clive? Same thing applies to Wellesly, Dalhousie. Then, where is the SatyamEva jayatE, even in long run?

682, Senior Leaders have to maintain decency. They can't be petty!!!

Mr. Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Union Minister for Urban Development, is a very Senior BJP Leader, and a Former President of BJP. He has a very sharp tongue. It may help him to occupy cushy positions, and his party for creating hurtful noises against its opponents. It does not help the Nation in any way. It does not reflect the character of an All India level intellectual. Of course, sometimes, it may have some nuissance value, like the writings of this ybrao-a-donkey.

Mr. Venkaiah Naidu is reported to have advised Kanhayah Kumar, the Student Leader of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) as under:-- Link: Click to go to Deccanchronicle.com.

"...They must study and stay away from politics. If they are interested in politics, they can leave studies and join politics. He can join any political party. His favourite party is now in single digit in the Parliament. Let him join that party. ..."

I respect your right. The advice and suggestions of Mr. Venkaiah Naidu should apply to the A.B.V.P. also. Will Mr. Venkaiah Naidu dare to give this advice to ABVP?

In 1984, BJP was also a single digit party with in Lok Sabha, with just two MPs. Fortunes of Parties vary depending upon on a number of factors. The manner in which Indian Economy is being managed, even BJP can become a single digit party by 2019. In fact it is the dissatisfaction of the People of India with the Economic Management of this Nation by the UPA, they have taught a lesson to Congress by bringing BJP to power. This does not mean that BJP and its allies will be voted to power for ever. As a Senior leader, Mr. Venkaiah Naidu ought to realise this.

In India, elections involve spending of billions. Left Parties cannot mobilise such billions. Unless damn sure that Left Parties are going to win, Industrialists will not fund Left Parties. It will be a harakiri for Left Parties to accept funds from Industrialists. Such an act goes against the very basic philosophy of Socialism and Marxism.

Besides, people have a fetish for bourgeoisie parties. Indian voters are corrupt and lazy. Yet, a day may come when people realise their mistakes. In reality, there should be competition among Left Parties to win over Indian voters. Sadly enough, Left Parties in India today have become "tails" of bourgeoisie Parties.

Mr. Venkaiah Naidu hails from Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. How many seats does his party get in Residual Andhra Pradesh in Telangana? In both the States it rode piggy-back on Telugu Desam Party. What advice will he give to ABVP Leaders of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, because BJP is a single DIGIT Party in both the States? Even in Delhi, BJP is a single digit Party!!!

Mr. Venkaiah Naidu himself migrated to neighboring Karnataka, to get a Rajya Sabha seat. Now, BJP leaders are said to be thinking of exporting him to Madhya Pradesh.

The role of Mr. Venkaiah Naidu in helping Mr. Narendra Modi and Mr. Arun Jaitley, to ditch the stalwarts of BJP, Mr. L.K. Advani and Mr. Murli Manohar Joshi is well-known.

The role of Mr. Venkaiah Naidu in the forced bisection of the United State of Andhra Pradesh, by making false promises of Special Status, Railway Zone, Polavaram Project, Fillingup budget revenue deficit, New Railway Zone, etc. etc. are well known. For all those never-realised promises, he accepted some felicitations also, funded by industrialists.

MINDSET OF LEADERS BOURGEOISIE PARTIES

Leaders of "Land-lord" Parties, and "Industrialist" Parties, can never understand the problems of the Deprived Sections and Classes. Apart from our leaders, most of our bureaucrats, judges, professionals, business persons, hail from LANDLORD and INDUSRIALIST Sections. They will joyfully co-operate with politicians, in continuing the oppression of poorer Sections in the Society.

Evils of the Society, are just seeping into the Universities. If the evils of the Society, outside the Universities can be rectified, there will be an automatic change in the environment of our Universities.

Mr. Kanhaya Kumar is in his youth. He does not know what is what. He needs guidance. But, the problem with today's youth is, they do not tolerate any guidance from others. Consequently, they will believe whatever they want to believe. 99% do not realise the consequences of what they do and what they canvass. By the time they realise that their perceptions were false, their physical activity slows down.

666 Misplaced Priorities of Left Parties and Left Student Unions

The essence of 21st Century India is "Misplaced Priorities". This applies both to Higher Education Arena, and to the Political Arena. In political arena, the Misplaced Priorities apply both to BJP and the Congress + Left. Everybody knows about the priorities of BJP, and much has already been written, and being written by the trumpeteers of the Govt. Hence, there is no need to write about them. Mr. Rahul Gandhi's Priority also we know clearly, that he has to resurrect himself from his own self-made abyss, as well as the abyss made by the Manmohan Singh, Chidambaram & Company. In this process, no wonder, he presents himself at places, even to support attackers of Parliament or perpetrators of Terrorism, as denouncing them will cost him his votes.

As far as the Government of India is concerned, by directly applying "Sedition" Sections on the Student Leaders, the Govt. seems to be over-re-acting. To start with, less serious Sections of IPC ought to have been applied. When admissible additional evidence is available to implicate the actual students who have given anti-National Slogans, such Sections ought to have been applied on those students.

FAILURE OF ORGANISERS TO FOREESEE WHO IS GOING TO JOIN THEM

Kanhayakumar, the Student leader who organised the Meeting seems to have failed in foreseeing that some LET-Hafiz Saeed followers would be joining in the crowd. Govt. cannot presume that Kanhayakumar had invited the LET militants into the crowd, to give anti-National Slogans. That does not seem to be their intent. Their intellects seem to have been misled by false-interpretations and arguments in Media, about the punishments given to Afzal Guru and Yakoub Momen. After one or two days of the event, the University Management and the Police, with the help of Eminent Lawyers, High Court and Supreme Court Judges, Govt. Secretaries, ought to have jointly counselled the Students about how Rule of Law and the Judicial System work in our country, and cleared the misgivings of the students through persuasion. Even Left Leaders, BJP Leaders could have done that.

POLICE OUGHT TO HAVE ALERTED THE STUDENT LEADERS, BEFORE THEIR ORGANISING THE MEETING

We have a plethora of Police and other Intelligence Bureaus in Delhi to conduct surveillance, reconnaissance on anti-National Elements operating in Delhi. The Police and the Intelligence Bureaus ought to have guided the student leaders like Kanhaya Kumar, about the risks involved in mobilising large cRoWds in open places, without proper identification cards, their verification, and providing proper counselling to the participants.

Has any Police Official / Intelligence Bureau Officer / University Security Officer met Kanhaya Kumar and his associate students, and counselled them about the militants of LET Hafiz Sayeed jumping the fences, joining the crowds and giving Anti India Slogans? Did they tell the Students about the need to conduct meetings in Closed Spaces such as University Halls where admissions can be controlled , instead of in Open Gardens.

The Government seems to be keen on giving an impression to Public that, the Govt. is more interested in pinning the students down, rather than correcting their deviating behaviors.

Foreseeing and preventing is always better than overacting after some incident takes place.

What makes me wonder, as a supporter of Democratic Leftist Movement in India, is the Misplaced Priorities of the Left Parties, and the Leftist Student Unions.

The First Priority of any Student at Degree, PG and Ph.D. level should be to study the Course he is studying. The Sciences of Knowledge Today, have reached such magnitude and dimensions, that 24 hours will not be sufficient to understand them. As I have already pointed out in my post No. 665, they have to engage themselves in this studies, while earning their livelihood. They should not expect the Nation to toil for them and feed them any number of years, in the name of Scholarships and stipends.

STUDIES is the reason de etaire of their existence at the University. If they leave that, which ought to be their topmost goal at that particular point of time, they will be crippled in the rest of their lives in the particular branch of their Expertise, notwithstanding their getting a Degree from the University. They become unemployable. Even if they get employment, they tend to under-perform owing to inadequate dexterity and skills.

Economically less stable persons, in their struggles for their daily livelihood, lose the focus of their socio-economic objectives. They will lose their ability to serve the Nation with a greater intensity and capability.

The problem with most of us Indians, is when we are economically unstable and depend on somebody else for our subsistence, we think of our socio-economic objectives, and get flustered and anguished. Once we become financially sound, we think of wine, women, gold, status, and prestige. This is another SAGA OF MISPLACED PRIORITIES OF INDIAN NATIONALS. (About other Nationals, I am not competent to comment).

There is no need to any individual whether student or not, to sacrifice his ideals. Accuracy and Timing is more important than Emotion and Haste.

Then comes the Priority No. 2. Understanding the Systems of India: the Political System, Economic System, Social System, Judicial System, Administrative System, Constitution of the country, and above all the top priority area: "Plight of Poor Masses in India".

I do not think that our Leftist Student Unions and our Leftist Parties are either aware of, or really bothered about this. Else, how can they give top priority to the Resurrection of Afzal Guru and Yakoub Momen, whom every court in the country from top to bottom have examined in depth, Lawyers have argued the cases, sufficient number of years have been spent about the reasonableness of the proportionality of the punishment to the Offence Committed. Courts, Governments, President of INdia have also considered the various pros and cons, and the National Priorities, Security, Integrity, prevailing Climate of Global Terrorism. Why the Student Unions are showing Misplaced Sympathies to the Convicted Terrorists, and not bothering about the brave Guards and Soldiers who laid down their lives in safeguarding this Nation.

If our Leftist Parties, and Leftist Students Unions are really worried about the Welfare of Masses of this country, they should have highlighted the problems of 1. Child Labor 2. Bonded Labor 3. Inhuman conditions in which bulk of the population is living and working 4. Starvation, Disease, Suicides. 5. Neglect of parents by children 6. Neglect of children by parents 7. Neglect of spouses by one another 8. Exploitation everywhere. 9. Mafia rule everywhere 10. Rampant Alcoholism.

THESE ARE NOT GENERAL PROBLEMS which CANNOT BE SOLVED IN A DAY

We cannot take shelter behind the excuse that problems cannot be solved in a day, or in a year or in five years. If we care to bother to any village /town in any State in INdia irrespective of whether it is ruled by BJP, Congress or the Regional Parties, what we find are the above problems.

The above problems, leaving aside Left Unions and Parties, even BJP Wings like ABVP, VHP, RSS cannot neglect. If they neglect, they will be handing over the matter to the Alien Organisations which in the name of Justice, do some service and simultaneously convert the Religions of People. We can't blame the Alien Missionaries, for that because Conversions are their top priority, and Service is only a Facade. We should blame ourselves for our failures, and guard against their recurrence.

Unless, I give a real life example, the intensity and seriousness of this problem cannot be understood. This Real Life Example is not an isolated instance. They are ubiquitous, if we care to see.

Though this example is from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States, they exist everywhere in India.

Parboiled Rice Mills in Chittoor Dt. of Andhra Pradesh, or Brick Kilns in Ranga Reddy District of Telangana State, or Brick Kilns in East Godavari District which some people consider as extremely prosperous by Indian Standards. Owners give some small money as advance to laborers and their families (caste, religion, region, language, in my view are really immaterial). The laborers have to stay in the thatched huts /sheds provided by the Owners. Lorries bring and take inputs and outputs day and night. The Laborers, including their children, have to work day and night. Even if they are sick they have to work. While working at nights, if anybody feels drowsy and bends his-her head, the Owners abuse with unspeakable words, and beat. Owners hit on the private parts of the female adolescent girls, and attempt to rape them. The working Children will be wondering how, even before their birth, their parents were working there as slaves. Politicians, Residents, Sarpanches, everybody in the surroundings know these things are happening, but they do not complain, because they will get problems. Revenue and Police Authorities know that these things are happening in a few meters distance from their Offices. Yet, they do not intervene, because they have tremendous patience and tolerance, to wait for receipt of complaints.

Now, this is the Ripe Environment for the Converters (Proselytizers) धर्मांतरण करनेवाले, మతాంతరణలు చేయువారు, to enter the scene, work as "Saviors" and convert people.

Some Octopus International NGO which has its tentacles all over the world, with Global Fund Mobilisation Drives will get full details through the Agents in the Villages, where they run Prayer Houses. The NGO's City Office will send some Mangers to the RDO, MRO, Police of the Area, with written complaints, take them to the actual workspots, where the Exploitation takes place. The RDO, MRO, Police will then have no alternative to liberate the Laborers, book some cases against the Owners. The Laborers are told to go anywhere they like and work freely. So far ok. But, when these sort of things have been taking place for decades, why the Govt. Officials, Political Parties, Student Unions, everybody pretend that nothing was happening around them, and how do they act so swiftly when some International NGO from Chennai / Mumbai / Kolkata / Delhi prods them? Why do Indians sleep for decades? Why do they, by their complacence and negligence make the Oppressed Masses to believe that Native Religion and Native Gods cannot save them, and Alien Gods can alone save them?

Why Left Parties in Andhra Pradesh are more concerned about Special Status to Residual Andhra Pradesh? Why doesn't Mr. Sitaram Yechury come down from Delhi to his Native City Kakinada, and see what is happening in his own Native District of East Godavari?

It is high time that Mr. Narendra Modi, Mr. Rahul Gandhi, Ms. Sonia Gandhi, Mr. Manmohan Singh, Mr. Arun Jaitley, et al visit some brick kilns, some Rice Mills, some Fish Ponds, some Firework Factories, some eateries, what not, to know ground realities. They can blame, criticise, damn one another, some other time. Country cannot wait. Some All-Party combined, co-ordinated effort is necessary.

664 Both Central and State Govt. Police Stations should be established in all Indian Universities and Big Colleges

The visuals which we see on TV Channels, about the anti-National slogans given on the premises of Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, on 8th Feb. 2016, in support of Afzal Guru, who was convicted by every Court from Trial level to the Supreme Court, for attack on the INdian Parliament, give a clear indication that alien Anti-National Conspirators are instigating the JNU Students. It is really a matter of shame for INdia, that this incident took place on a day, when the Nation was deeply distressed about the demise of the brave soldier Hanumantappa, struck by an avalanche on the Siachen Glacier. More so, because a few km. away from the JNU Student Union Meeting Place, a State Mourning was taking place for Hanumanthappa.

Mr. Rajnath Singh, Home Minister of India, is right when he said:
"...Protesting is a right, raising anti India slogans is not. ..."

It is strange that Mr. Sitaram Yechury, Mr. Raja, and Mr. Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy are supporting causes which have nothing to do Marxism or Socialism or Leftism, or even True Secularism. If their Student Union Leader Mr. Kanhayakumar has given Anti-National Slogans, under coercion, they should have explained the samething to Mr. Rajnath Singh, tendered an apology to the Government of India, on behalf of the erring Student Leader, and got him released. They should also have counselled the erring Student Leader.

If it is not the Leftist Student Leaders who have raised the anti-National Slogans, the Communist Leaders can ask for a high level Judicial Inquiry and an N.I.A. Investigation into the whole affair, because some L.E.T or ISIS or ISI Agents might have joined the crowd and hyjacked the whole Meeting, because the matter is very serious and danger to National Security and Integrity is involved. Even now, it is not too late. Left Leaders can make inquiries, and find out facts.

In this incident, there is a Lesson for students who have Sympathies towards True Socialism: When large-gatherings take place, alien unscrupulous elements may surreptiously join the crowd, and take control of the whole Meeting.

Lesson 1: Students with carefully checked "identity cards" should alone have been allowed into the Meeting.

Lesson 2: A Leaflet ought to have been distributed to all the participants, containing "Dos" and "Don'ts".

Lesson 3: "A Card of Warning" to the participants, those who violate Indian Penal Code, may undergo a risk of Criminal Prosecution under appropriate Sections.

Some suggestions to stem the ROT which has creeped into Indian Universities and Colleges.

1. Degree level, PG Degree level, and Ph.D. level courses need not be full time. Though at present most Colleges work only for 3 or 4 hrs. a day, remaining time is wasted by many students in unconcerned pursuits. Books are opened only during Exam. Season.

2. There is no need to give Scholarships to any student of any Course, any Section, caste, religion. Instead, all the students whether of Private Colleges or Govt. Colleges, should be given part-time work in a nearby Public Sector Undertaking / Organisation (as far as possible), or where it is not at all possible, at least a Private Sector Company. Hourly wages or piece-rate wages should be paid to them. This brings into the Students, a sense of dignity of labor, sense of pride and responsibility. They will not become parasites on the exchequer. The wages can be adjusted towards Fees, Hostel Charges, Library Charges, Uniforms, Cosmetics, Books, Tablets and Laptops etc. etc., and if any surplus is left can be paid to the Students at the end of the Course.

In this respect, we must keep in mind that India is a poor country. It will be immaterial for us what the Universities and Colleges in Rich Countries do.

3. If the students do not have skills to work at the Public Sector or the Private Sector Company, such skills should be imparted by engaging trainers.

4. The Part-time work given to the students should not only involve "mental labor", but also "physical labor".

MENTAL LABOR On the days Universities/Colleges function, they may get the minimum quota of "mental labor". On the days Universities/Colleges are closed, Mental Labor will have to be induced. The compulsory mental labor will enable the "brain cells" to absorb all the direct sugars consumed by the Students, and entering their blood stream.

PHYSICAL LABOR Works such as Mechanical Lathe work, Erection of Solar Panels, Erection of Wind Mills, Construction of Government Buildings, Flyovers, Roads, not entrusted to Contractors, etc. can be entrusted. The physical labor will enable the "muscle tissues" to absorb all the indirect sugars which starches and faty foods may contain. The students will live a healthy life, free from metabolic diseases like diabetes, high B.P. etc. They will get good sleep at the end of the day. They will not get addicted to alcohol or drugs.

5. Indian Penal Code, Patho-physiology, and Pharmacology should be made compulsory subjects, irrespective of the course.

6. Every University, big College should have a Central Govt. Police Station, and a State Govt. Police Station, with jurisdiction not only on the Institution, but also in the surrounding areas, to keep a watch on alien elements such as LET, ISI , ISIS etc. There should be sufficient number of CC Cameras. Both the Central and State Police should check all the visitors into-and-out of the University. Both should maintain Computerised Records of all the students, their guardians, their visitors. Both the Stations should study the Bank Accounts of all the Students, to examine if they are getting any foreign funds. Both should function simultaneously and independent of one another, and compete with one another. If disputes arise between Central and State Govt. Police Stations, Courts can decide who is right and who is not right. PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE.

Till the things stabilise, all Student Unions irrespective of affailiations to political parties including NSUI, NSU, ABVP etc. etc. should be banned. They may be permitted to operate after students get sufficient self-thinking and enlightenment.

To continue and revise this, with more proof.. सशेष. సశేషం.
