861 PRIME MINISTER IS HEAD OF GOVERNMENT. HE IS TO SPEAK WITH DIGNITY. HE IS NOT A CLOWN

Prime Minister's Post, world wide, is regarded as HEAD OF GOVERNMENT, and is honored with GREAT RESPECT. Conversely, people of any Nation expect their Prime Minister to speak with dignity. He is not a clown or joker. This expectation of Great Dignity on the part of a Prime Minister, does not as much apply to an Opposition Leader. The job of the Opposition is to criticize and make allegations. They too are expected to maintain the dignity expected of their position, but not as much as the Prime Minister. This is because 1. Prime Ministers have global exposures. 2. Usually for any country, there will be maximum one or two Prime Ministers. But, a country can have any number of opposition leaders, depending on the number of parties.

Recently, we have seen in 2016 American Presidential Elections, both the candidates have, occasionally, spoken like clowns, and they were appearing as though they were participating in a CLOWNERY CONTEST. Comparatively, between Ms. Hillary Clinton and Mr. Donald Trump, as far as CLOWNISHNESS is concerned, Mr. Trump looked like a larger clown, though factually, there may not be much difference between them.

CONTEXT
Forthcoming Elections in Uttar Pradesh. Election Rallies are in full swing. Rivals are shooting their darts against one another. Mr. Rahul Gandhi took out a damp squib of an allegation of corruption against Mr. Narendra Modi, which Mr. Prashant Bhushan, a Senior Supreme Court Advocate and Swaraj Abhiyan Party leader tried to convert into a PIL in Supreme Court. Unfortunately for Mr. Bhushan, Supreme Court did not accept the writ petition, and he was asked to produce some solid substantive evidence. Same allegation, Mr. Rahul Gandhi tried to reignite, adding some attributes like "There will be an earthquake if I speak". He wanted to speak in Parliament, but he could not get. There were demands on him to disclose the earthquake outside. What Rahul Gandhi has finally come out with were two diary notes in Sahara, and Aditya Groups, which mentioned that amounts aggrgating approx. Rs. 40 crore (Rs. 400 million) were paid to Mr. Narendra Modi, in 2013 and 2014. These were payments before the Lok Sabha Elections 2014, when Mr. Narendra Modi was Chief Minister of Gujarat, and he was rehearsing himself to be a Prime Ministerial candidate on behalf of BJP Party.

FUN OR RIDICULE CANNOT BE AN ANSWER TO WHAT RAHUL GANDHI SAID

For those readers who wish to see the Rahul-mocking speech of Mr. Narendra Modi, here is a link: Click to go to Youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acIkSd-RzKc.

Some tit-bits from the sarcastic speech of Mr. Narendra Modi:

"...They have a young leader who is just learning to give speeches. Since the time he’s learnt to speak, there’s no limit to my happiness. ..."

"... He (Rahul Gandhi) had been going around threatening that when he will speak, there will be an earthquake. If he hadn’t spoken, there could have been an earthquake. It would have been an earthquake that people would have had to deal with for 10 years. ..."

"... There is no chance of an earthquake now that he has spoken. We can be rest assured that there is no danger of the natural calamity in sight. ..."

"...He (Gandhi) may not have realised that he has admitted the failure of the long reign of his own party, ..."

"...I wonder whether he (Singh) was giving his own report card by admitting the dismal (poverty) situation…After all, he has been prime minister for two terms and a finance minister previously. Since the 1970s he has been holding key positions. ..."

yb-a-donkey's views, which cannot be imposed on Readers:

*Important reasons for success of BJP and Mr. Modi, in 2014 Lok Sabha Elections: Not only the so called charisma of Mr. Narndra Modi, but also 1. Mr. Rahul Gandhi's & his mother's failures. 2. Failures of Mr. Manmohan Singh and Congress. 3. Religious fanatism of SOME LARGE CHUNK of people in Varanasi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. This fanatism still continues.

Nobody can say that India has not done substantial progress during the last 60 years, which includes rule by Congress, Janata 1977 experiment in which BJP too participated, Indira-Rajiv-VPSingh-PV Narasimha Rao, DeveGowda-Gujral United Front Rule, Vajpayee-Advani Rule, Manmohan Singh Rule. Notwithstanding corruption, everybody have done their best. Owing to tripling/quadrupling of population from 360 million to 1.3 billion between 1947 and 2016, all our efforts and achievements have gone in vain. Besides, spiralling of oil prices have escalated our difficulties. We have ben compelled to spend a sizable share of our budget on Defence, as we had to defend our borders against invasions and infiltrations by Pakisthan and China.

One happy feature for Mr. Narendra Modi's Government is, oil prices have touched rock bottom during the last 2 1/2 years. Now, they are again farming up because OPEC countries, Russia, and Saudi Arabia seem to gradually patch up their differences, and restrict oil production and supplies. Now, this is time for Mr. Narendra Modi to get ready for meeting RISING OIL PRICES. There is also a SERIOUS DANGER OF TERRORIST ATTACKS FROM ISIS, continuous-continual squirmishes both from China and Pakisthan.

Sometimes, it may be easy and satisfying for a leader to shake hands in peculiar ways, modulate voice in peculiar ways, and generate laughter and claps from people. But, these things are reserved for street-level (basti level) politicians. Shri Narendra Modi is a venerated R.S.S. worker, as a person endowed with great discipline. Besides, he is Prime Minister. His personality and behavior ought to become 'jewels' for the designation of the 'Prime Minister' and serve as an example to emulate for future Prime Ministers. Else, some other leader from BJP itself may arise, resort to similar gestures and speaking style, but outsmart the pioneer Shri Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister post may come and go. But, Shri Narendra Modi, should be remembered by the Nation, as INIMITABLE.

In Telugu language, there is a proverb: 'tADi nekku vAnini tala tannu vADu unTADu'. Approx. English gist: "A person felt elated when he climbed a palm tree, and was at the top. But his joy didn't last long. Some other person reached slightly higher than him, and kicked the first person's head from above." The purport of this proverb is, there is no permanent place for anybody at the top. Next person will come, and overshadow. There were days, when I believed that Mr. Polly Umrighar and Ajit Wadekar were at the top of the Indian Cricket. When things were looking hopeless, Mr. Sunil Gavaskar came-- a great contributor to Indian Cricket. Several records were set. I thought that he would be invincible and unbeatable. Then, Messrs. Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sehvag, Dhoni, Bedi, Prasanna, et al came and rewrote some records. Now the turns of Kohli, Asvin, Karun Nair et al have come. Simultaneously, there may be one or two persons who get excess awards, credits, fame, moola, fan-following, State-recognition etc. Mr. Tendulkar got his Bharat Ratna, for whatever be the undisclosed extraneous reasons. There may be unsung heroes also. Then, there may be fate-forsaken, God-forsaken (as an atheist I should not use these phrases) talented persons like Vinod Kambli, who get lost in the middle. Even in politics we see this: Mr. L.K. Advani could not reach the No. 1 level. Mr. Pranab Mukherjee too aspired for the No. 1 level. He has to satisfy with No. 1-A sort, though may be as per protocol the Supreme Commander and Head of State, still his true ambitions to become PMOI seem unfulfilled. In Capitalism, there can be no link/relationship direct or indirect, proportionate or disproportionate between talents, performances, and accomplishments.

Vocabulary notes:

The word UNIMITABLE is also correct as per Click to go to https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/unimitable. But UNIMITABLE seems to be archaic and anachronistic.

555 (Part 1/10) Should DOG wag its tail? Or tail wags the DOG? Who should evaluate whom?

We know that India has borrowed its system of Parliamentary form of Government from Britain.

As a result, in India, at Central level the Prime Minister, and at the level of States, Chief Ministers have become virtual, effective dictators. Reason : Appointing and ousting Ministers is regarded in India, as PM's/CMs' prerogative.

Though President / Governors administer oath(s) to the Ministers, he-she is regarded as a rubber-stamp in the hands of P.M., though President of India, unlike the British Queen, is elected by a larger electorate consisting both of Parliament and the State Assemblies. British Queen's assension to throne is hereditary. In true sense, she is not a representative of democracy. Over Centuries of British history, there were conflicts between monarchs and the Parliaments & Prime Ministers. For establishing the de facto supremacy of the Parliament & PM and his Cabinet, over the British monarchs, British Queens and Kings had to become decorative Heads of State. There should be no need for Indian Presidents to be compliant and submissive to the Prime Minister & his-her Cabinet, as much as the British Monarchs. As Governors of States are just appointees and not elected by any Constituency, they cannot have this advantage.

However, in respect of Governors, the situation is somewhat different. Governors are not elected by people. They are like Clerks. They are appointed by a rubber stamp called President of India, on the advice of Union Cabinet.

Why all this hammering? Come to the context and the point.

Context: Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, has evaluated the performance of the M.L.A.s in Andhra Pradesh, and gave them some ranks. Actually, it should be the otherway round. M.L.As elect the CM (unanimity which we commonly see in the elctions of Indian Prime Ministers, State Chief Ministers, is bogus.). M.L.A. vote in No Confidence Motions (No Confidence Motions in India, rarely reach voting Stage). C.M. is only a representative of all the M.L.A.s in the Assembly, at least theoretically. Hence, it should be M.L.A.s who should evaluate the performance of the Chief Minister they elected earlier, and decide whether to continue him or not, or decide on whether a new leader is to be elected and Governor and Speaker Assembly informed accordingly.

In Telugu language (my mother tongue), ther is a proverb. "kukka tOkanu ADistundA, lEka tOka kukkan ADistunda?". Approx. English purport: Whether a dog wags its tail? Or a tail wags the dog? Everybody knows that it is the dog which has got to wag its tail, and not vice versa. But the M.L.A.s of Residual Andhra Pradesh do not know. They allow themselves to be evaluated by Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu, as if they were students and Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu is their teacher.

499 CMs & PMs are not teachers and Ministers are not children

Question: Comparing CM and PM to teachers, and Ministers in the Cabinet to be children, does not seem to be appropriate. Why do you waste your time? Write something magnificent things, such as Valmiki Ramayana!

Answer: This comparison has arisen, as there are news reports that Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu cautioned his Ministers that they would be given marks for their performance, and given Transfer Certificates (TCs), if they do not raise to expectations. CM & PM are also Ministers, and they are not Gods. They are first among the equals. In other words, Ministers are equal to CMs and PM in every respect. The Ministers should also know their true role as the near-equals of CMs and PM. This is irrespective of whatever may be prevailing in Britain, whose Parliamentary Customs and traditions we have borrowed. Ministers, if they think that they are servants of CMs and PM, then those Ministers will start behaving like Rakshasa women surrounding Ravana.

Valmiki Ramayana, Sundara Kanda, Chapter 22, Verse 36. yathA madvashagaa SItA
kshipram bhavati jAnakI
tathaa kuruta rAkSasyaH
sarvAH kShipram samEtya ca.

Context & English gist: Ravana abducted Sita, and kept her in the Ashoka Garden. Nearly nine months elapsed, yet she was not surrendering to him. Ravana gave her further two months, after which, if she persists, he would get her killed. He instructed the daemon women guarding Sita: See the word used 'kshipram = immediately, without delay' used in the second line and fourth line. "Sita should be brought under my control fast." "All of you together (sarvAh samEtya) do it quick".

Just as Ravana expected his daemon women change the mind of Sita, by all means,  Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu is asking his Ministers to perform, by successfully changing the minds of farmers, without delay.  This the Ministers are doing by threatening farmers that they lands will be taken over through LA Act.

If the Ministers do not perform, they will be given TCs and sent away from the school. Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu ought not have said these words, even as a joke. Reason: Ministers are not only- NOT STUDENTS, but also NOT EVEN TEACHERS (Teachers are equal to Head Master/Principal at least in some respects).  Thus we get the deduction, that CM is the first among equals , of all the MLAs.  PM is the first among equals of all MPs (all parties included).

If we accept the idea that CM-PM are Headmasters and Ministers are teachers, who will be MLAs and MPs? They will become students. It will not be correct. Reason: Even MLAs and MPs are equal to CMs and PM. This is because every MLA cannot be made Minister/CM and every MP cannot be made PM & Central Minister.

Of course, there is one solution. Our Lok Sabha and Assemblies have five year terms. Annual rotation is one possibility. That means five PMs/CMs. Sameway five batches of Ministers at Central and State levels.

When the same party gets a second opportunity of ruling for another ten years, we can go for another five new CMs/PMs and five annual batches of Ministers from MLAs/MPs after eliminating those who had their chance during the first term.

MLAs and MPs, through secret ballot elect Ministers, CMs and PM.

A.P. CM thinks that legislators and Ministers need to be kept under control, through class room lecturs and training programs. Arranging for a lecture by Jaggi Vasudev, is one such example. Our PMOI seems to think that BJP MPs are to be disciplined through enforcing codes of discipline, class room lectures and training programs. Even first time MLAs and MPs should not be treated in that manner. They are, they will be as much knowledgeable as the Ministers and CMs once they spend a few months to study the Parliamentary practices.

Question: What did Ravana further order the daemon women?
Valmiki Ramayana, Sundara KAnDa (Volume 5), Chapter 22, Verse 37.
pratiloma anulomaish ca
sAma dAna adi bheda naiH
avarjayata vaidehIM
daNDasy odyamanena ca.

English gist: Through anulOma (favourable i.e. carrots) and pratilOma (adverse i.e. sticks), sAma = soft words, dAna= gifts etc. bhEda = Original meaning divide the enemies, contextually we can take a meaning of threatening, danDa = coercion, udyamam = persistent efforts, vaidEhIm avarjayata = Bring under my control. Briefly: Bring Sita under my control using all methods.

What Ministers of Andhra Pradesh are expected to do??

Bring the adament farmers who are refusing to join land pooling, not only in Capital Region, but also on the other side of Krishna River, for Tourism,
at Gannavaram, for expansion of airport
at Bhogapuram, for new airport at Visakhapatnam
... ...

Farmers are comparable to adament Sita. Ministers are the daemon women entrusted with the work of overpowering Sita.

Question: Ordered by Ravana, what did the Rakshasa women do?

Answer:  To describe this, Valmiki used:
Chapter 22: 7
Chapter 23: 21
Chapter 24: 5
Then Sita replied, weeping.
Chapter 24: 29

bhakSayiSyaam ahe vayam.

English Gist: As said by me, if you do not heed to my words, at this very moment, we shall all of us eat you.

Can you give some names of Ravana's Lady Guards, so that we can compare with our A.P. Ministers?

Ans: EkajaTa, Harijata, Praghasa, Vikata, Vinata, Durmukhi, Ajamukhi.

However, to believe that India should become the World's Preceptor, is too much of eccentricism for Indian Nation.

Believing that India is superior to other countries and that it is in a position to teach others is a misconception, which Vivekananda seems to have believed in.

There is nothing which India has to deliberately teach to the world.

If the countries of the world consider that there is something to learn from India, that they may learn from India voluntarily, without telling us.  This is what is called emulation or imitation.

There is a need to make a comparative table of the role model Swami VivekAnanda, and the disciple Hon. Narendra Modi. Whatever I write here about Swami Vivekananda, is based on his Complete Works, particularly his Epistles (letters written by him to others), available on Net, from the websites of Institutions of Heritage of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and Vivekananda. (cult?). Those who wish to check their correctness, and veracity can definitely check them on the websites of RKP-SV institutions.

JobHas a disdain towards those who apply for jobs and who do jobs for maintaining wife and children. No indication of his trying for Govt. or private jobs or doing jobs. Though he mentions of his assisting a railway tea stall run by his family, according to internet, another tea stall run by his uncle in an RTC Busstand, not enough information is available. There is also a view that he ran his own tea cart for a few months (how many months, nobody knows), before joining the Sangh Parivar. It is also not clear whether Sangh Parivar provides only food and shelter to its workers and office bearers, or it provides them some salary. Any information in this respect is to come only from our Hon. P.M., or from the Sangh Parivar. While Mr. Rahul Gandhi has inherited political jobs from Nehru dynasty, Mr. Modi's sunrise on the political job arena is from the kindnesses shown by Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee and probably Advani & Joshi. He repaid his debt to all of them by uploading them to Margadarsak Mandal which apparently never met.
MarriageIn a letter addressed to Ms. Christina Greenstidel, a German girl, he sent a stamped document signed by him for her signature. He also expressed a doubt whether to mention her name as Miss or Mrs. There are some letters which at least partially indicate a sort of relationship with her, which may or may not be sexual. Some say that she is his adopted daughter, but there is no evidence to that. Early marriage in teens, but not enough evidence of a child-marriage made by elders. Not legally separated. There is some vagueness, because of his late disclosure in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, under a staqtutary compulsion.
Veg or non-veg? Non-Veg. Apparently also beef. Veg.
Alcohol yes, as per conversation with Prof. Dussen. Apparently no.
Tobacco Cigars definite Apparently no.
Love for expensive coats, dresses and grooming Yes Yes. NM wore a coat costing Rs. a million, during a visit of President Obama. We shall see how he will dress himself, when he presents himself before G8 country bosses.
Epicureanism Love to fill belly shad fish and turtles, with keen differentiating skills between American turtles and Indian turtles. Universal cuisine. Love of dokras.
Health SV suffered from nearly 20 ailments ranging diabetes to red patches on skin. The numerous ailments led to his premature death at 39. His second US visit was totally to find solutions for his sicknesses. So far no disclosures.
Love of publicity and show Great. For proof, readers can have a look at letters addressed by Swamiji to Alasinga. Greater than Vivekananda?
Spent some time by begging Swami Vivekananda in one of his California speeches told his audiences that at Alam Bazar for some time they used to live by collecting alms from streets and that some housewives used to give them stale chapatis. Our beloved PM has to clarify on his 40 years between his Chaiwala and Gujarat CM occupations, and enlighten us about the years in which if he lived by alms, and his experiences about whether any housewives gave him stale chapatis. We have to await his autobiography, or more biographies by others, probably after 2024 when he may retire from PMship.

Write something about India becoming a Jagad Guru (Preceptor for the whole world. Jagad = world. Guru = Preceptor.
This is a fancy self-given title by the Heads of some monasteries in India, though not confined to - but is more prominent among the Heads of monasteries claiming to have been started by Adi Sankaracharya of KalaDi (Kerala State). This practice of self-titling as Jagad Gurus seems to have started at a time many Indians considered India as the whole world and the whole earth, probably when and because there was a taboo on venturing to cross the seas.

This fashion of Heads of monasteries considering themselves as Preceptors of the World, Rulers of the World, is a world trait. E.g. Pope. Khalifa. Vivekananda seems to have longed to imitate the alien religions. In a way he may be correct. In a way, he may be even INAPPROPRIATE because if others do something wrong, we need not imitate blindly.

We need not doubt the motives of Swami Vivekananda when he might have dreamt of India becoming a Preceptor to the whole World. It may be out of National Pride, or out of a knee jerk response to reckless conversions indulged in by the Semitic Religions using donations they receive from colonial monarachs, queens and Corporates of those days, as well as these days.

Actually, Hinduism or the sanAtana dharma is not a religion. It is a conglomeration सम्मेळन సమ్మేళనం of several religions, not assembled or unified by a single person. The composite living style in India was a contribution by thousands of thinkers, some of them are respectfully called Rishis, Munis, AchAryas, Gurus et al. But none of them have, can individually have any monopoly or oligopoly or monopolistic competition controls on the religion. Not can one single path be treated as the Chief General path of the Indian living style.

Indian living style has several strengths and weaknesses, which are worth studying, but not possible to discuss here in this single blog post. Its greatest weakness is its legacy of the caste system, and the oppression and suppression of dalits and tribals.

In spite of numerous weaknesses, Hindu or composite Indian life style is more hospitable than the world alien religions because it has a rainbow like polychrome variety and choices, diversified expansive spiritual literature all of which is impossible for any single individual to master. Hence, there is no question of somebody or the Nation as a whole considering itself as Jagad Guru (World Preceptor). Before India ventures to gain that No. 1 rank, India and Indians must master their own culture, understand its width, depth, pluralism, accommodativeness, flexibility, tolerance, and above all, love of justice. This justice is not the narrow legal justice. It is the natural justice, which is called DHARMA. The word DHARMA is not to be understood in its narrow sense of being name of a religion or a sub religion.

The Telugu Mahabharata verse, very clearly and lucidly defines the great path of DHARMA:

This verse is by Great Telugu poet Tikkan of 13th Century A.D. Book is the Telugu translation of Indian Epic Mahabharata of Krishna Dvaipayana vyAsa. This verse was said by vidura, an adviser to the blind king DhritarAshtra.

Among all the paths of truth and justice (dharma), that path is the best which makes us not to do such things to others, which when done by others, hurt us.

This dharma, proseylitizing religions (religions which are engaged in converting people of other religions into one's own religion) cannot, do not understand. They know, in the name of service to mankind, to buy the intellects of people, by offering money, making false promises, denigrating other religions, calling other religions as barbaric and uncivilised.

India does not proseylitise (convert the religions of people), nor will it allow the world alien religions to invade into India, in the name of religious freedom. Indians already have freedoms of religion. Western missionaries cannot do their nefarious conversion business in India.
