966 While triple talaq is a very cruel custom violating human rights, Mr. Narendra Modi could have allowed Supreme Court to issue appropriate directions on it

Every Indian, with the exception of a few religious bigots and fanatics agree that triple talaq is a cruel custom, violating human rights. The custom needs to be discontinued by all means, legislation, persuasion, social reforms. But our Honorable Prime Minister of India appears to be in a hurry. He seems to be in undue haste. This is particularly true because, the matter is sub judice, and the Highest Court of India is going to hear it on 11th May 2017 (only 15 days ahead). It is very much likely that Supreme Court may expedite its decision in view of its 'cruel' nature, and its paramount imporance from the point of view of human rights. The rising of the issue by Mr. Narendra Modi in Karnataka, which is due for elections this year, he has created a situation that he wants to seize the initiative from Supreme Court of India. Besides, an impression among people's minds may arise that our Prime Minister does not want to give due credit to the Supreme Court, and that he wants to emerge as 'Muslim nAri hridaya samrAT' (English: "Emperor of the Hearts of Muslim Women") , and wants to be hailed as their Messiah.

Mr. Modi is asking others not to politicise the issue. But, he himself is politicising it. Other parties have not raised it. Besides, the appropriate time to raise this issue will be : "after receiving Supreme Court judgement, and before implementing it".

Hon. Prime Minister has rightly identified the resentment and unrest in the minds of enlightened / educated Muslim Women, about the continuance of the obnoxious custom of triple talaq. But the timing is not apt, because it gives an impression that he is trying to use 'liberation of Muslim women from triple talaq' as a bait to capture their votes. But, it can be counter-productive sometimes, because he may be alienating Muslim Men from BJP.

SAUDI ARABIAN + Pakisthani TUTORED MUSLIM CLERICS MAY SPOIL THE MINDS OF MUSLIM MEN

Instigated by Saudi Arabian and Pakisthani trained Muslim Clerics may instigate the minds of Muslim men to such an extent that Muslim Husbands may not allow their wives to go out and vote in the 2019 General Elections.

PLIGHT OF BURQA/VEIL CLAD WOMEN

Day by day, the % of burqa clad women, face-tightly-tied with veil, moving on streets, is rising. They seem to be under pressure from their parents, siblings, husbands, neighbors to wear burqa or at least tightly tie their faces with full veil. Government of India ought to initiate a survey on the plight of women who are forced to wear burqa. Even during those surveys, majority women may inform that they wear the burqa/full veil on their own volition, and that there is no pressure on them to wear full mask. Burqa women need liberation from their hardships. But Governments cannot take hasty steps, which will lead to alienation, and conflicts between men and women.

All these issues are very slippery. "Slow and Steady" treading with "harmony and conciliation" are very important.

BJP LEADERS HAVE TO INTROSPECT

Many Indians view BJP as a party with 'HIndu Religious Agenda'. BJP also seems to believe that it is the sole representative of the Hindus, and Indian Nationalism + patriotism. If BJP's positioning itself as the savior of Hindu Religion is true, the right step for the BJP Leaders ought to have been to start with REFORMING HINDU CUSTOMS. For example, there is the custom of lavish expenditure in Hindu Marriages, and the CRUEL practice of extracting / extorting dowry from daughters-in-law and their parents. This practice is continuing in spite of Dowry Prohibition Act, and Sec. 498 of IPC domestic violence provisions. This dowry harassment and violence appears to be more rampant, quantitatively and in intensity, in BJP Ruled states of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra. Uttar Pradesh.

Bangalore is also in Karnataka State, where Mr. Narendra Modi spoke. Why didn't Mr. Modi speak about 'dowry deaths' (seems to be common to all religions, as far as my little knowledge goes)?

We know that today's world is infested with terrorists. 861 PRIME MINISTER IS HEAD OF GOVERNMENT. HE IS TO SPEAK WITH DIGNITY. HE IS NOT A CLOWN

Prime Minister's Post, world wide, is regarded as HEAD OF GOVERNMENT, and is honored with GREAT RESPECT. Conversely, people of any Nation expect their Prime Minister to speak with dignity. He is not a clown or joker. This expectation of Great Dignity on the part of a Prime Minister, does not as much apply to an Opposition Leader. The job of the Opposition is to criticize and make allegations. They too are expected to maintain the dignity expected of their position, but not as much as the Prime Minister. This is because 1. Prime Ministers have global exposures. 2. Usually for any country, there will be maximum one or two Prime Ministers. But, a country can have any number of opposition leaders, depending on the number of parties.

Recently, we have seen in 2016 American Presidential Elections, both the candidates have, occasionally, spoken like clowns, and they were appearing as though they were participating in a CLOWNERY CONTEST. Comparatively, between Ms. Hillary Clinton and Mr. Donald Trump, as far as CLOWNISHNESS is concerned, Mr. Trump looked like a larger clown, though factually, there may not be much difference between them.

CONTEXT
Forthcoming Elections in Uttar Pradesh. Election Rallies are in full swing. Rivals are shooting their darts against one another. Mr. Rahul Gandhi took out a damp squib of an allegation of corruption against Mr. Narendra Modi, which Mr. Prashant Bhushan, a Senior Supreme Court Advocate and Swaraj Abhiyan Party leader tried to convert into a PIL in Supreme Court. Unfortunately for Mr. Bhushan, Supreme Court did not accept the writ petition, and he was asked to produce some solid substantive evidence. Same allegation, Mr. Rahul Gandhi tried to reignite, adding some attributes like "There will be an earthquake if I speak". He wanted to speak in Parliament, but he could not get. There were demands on him to disclose the earthquake outside. What Rahul Gandhi has finally come out with were two diary notes in Sahara, and Aditya Groups, which mentioned that amounts aggrgating approx. Rs. 40 crore (Rs. 400 million) were paid to Mr. Narendra Modi, in 2013 and 2014. These were payments before the Lok Sabha Elections 2014, when Mr. Narendra Modi was Chief Minister of Gujarat, and he was rehearsing himself to be a Prime Ministerial candidate on behalf of BJP Party.

Now, they are again farming up because OPEC countries, Russia, and Saudi Arabia seem to gradually patch up their differences, and restrict oil production and supplies. Now, this is time for Mr. Narendra Modi to get ready for meeting RISING OIL PRICES. There is also a SERIOUS DANGER OF TERRORIST ATTACKS FROM ISIS, continuous-continual squirmishes both from China and Pakisthan.

Sometimes, it may be easy and satisfying for a leader to shake hands in peculiar ways, modulate voice in peculiar ways, and generate laughter and claps from people. But, these things are reserved for street-level (basti level) politicians. Shri Narendra Modi is a venerated R.S.S. worker, as a person endowed with great discipline. Besides, he is Prime Minister. His personality and behavior ought to become 'jewels' for the designation of the 'Prime Minister' and serve as an example to emulate for future Prime Ministers. Simultaneously, there may be one or two persons who get excess awards, credits, fame, moola, fan-following, State-recognition etc. Mr. Tendulkar got his Bharat Ratna, for whatever be the undisclosed extraneous reasons. There may be unsung heroes also. Then, there may be fate-forsaken, God-forsaken (as an atheist I should not use these phrases) talented persons like Vinod Kambli, who get lost in the middle. Even in politics we see this: Mr. L.K. Advani could not reach the No. 1 level. Mr. Pranab Mukherjee too aspired for the No. 1 level. He has to satisfy with No. 1-A sort, though may be as per protocol the Supreme Commander and Head of State, still his true ambitions to become PMOI seem unfulfilled. In Capitalism, there can be no link/relationship direct or indirect, proportionate or disproportionate between talents, performances, and accomplishments.

Clarification: This is not a hate blog of Mr. Narendra Modi or BJP. Nor, am I a admirer / devotee of Mr. Narendra Modi. If Mr. Modi's avowed focus is on alleviating Indian Poverty, my focus is on intellectual upgradation of Indian Proletariat (Working Class), so that they can choose better the socio-politico-economic system which can alleviate and ameliorate their deprivation.

"... The first thing is that are 800 million people below the age of 35 in our country. We have to accept that the demand for jobs is very high. But where will they get employment? Investment will come in. It will be used in the infrastructure sector, manufacturing and services sector. Now like the initiative we have taken, we have started the Mudra Yojna. More than three crore people in the country comprise washermen, barbers, milkman, newspaper vendors, cart vendors. We have given them nearly 1.25 lakh crore rupees without any guarantee. Now why have these people taken the money? To expand their work. When he expands his work, if he is currently employing one person, now he has to employ two people. If there were two employed earlier, now there are three. Now just think, when three crore of these small businesses have got access to finance, they must have expanded their work. Now all this is not in the Labour Department’s registration. Three crore people have expanded their work. We took another small decision. The big malls in the country run 365 days a year but the smaller shops have to close on holidays. We announced in the budget that even a small shopkeeper can operate his shop till late night and that too on all the seven days of the week. If the malls don’t have restrictions, then why should the small shopkeepers have restrictions. So now if a shopkeeper operates his shop till late and on all seven days, if he earlier employed one person, now he will have to employ two people. So won’t the employment increase? ..."

"... Now we are saying that by 2022 we want to ensure that everyone has a house. Housing sector has the maximum potential for creating employment. Houses will be built in such huge numbers; how many people will get employment? You must have seen that last year we brought in a textile policy. Under this textile policy, there will be income tax benefits for those who create employment. The more employment one creates, the more tax benefits they will get. For the first time, employment generation and tax has been linked. These are the things that boost employment and our central focus is creating employment for the ordinary citizen. ..."

If we already have 800 million below the age of 35 in our country, how is that our Hon. Prime Minister, and the Chief Ministers of 29 States are giving calls to people to beget more children? The calls should have been on Family Planning, and Population Control.

Almost all people of all religions, under active guidance and influence of their PREACHERS are breeding children beyond the normally expected, though not the legal maximum of 2 children per family. In fact, India's greatest strength has been its fecundity (ability to get children) ! In our Great Epic Mahabharata, we come across a term called "sadyO garbham" (approx. English meaning : instant pregnancy and delivery), which we seem to have as an accomplishment "at will". On the other hand, countries like Denmark are toiling hard to make their citizens to produce more and more offsprings, and their citizens seem to be not interested. 737 (Part 2/100 of Judicial Reforms) Why should the TOP Ministers and the Senior Supreme Court Judges should sit together in a closed room? Why they cannot meet in a more transparent manner?

This is in continuation of our blogpost No. 587 (Click to go to Post No.587, if you wish to) . Mr. T.S. Thakur, CJI of India, becoming emotional, and going into tears, about the present problems of Indian Judicial System, owing to an apathetic and callous attitude of the Government of India, in filling the vacancies of Judges, providing infrastructure, the tug of war going on between the State and Central Governments about meeting the needs of Judicial System, - at a Meeting of CMs and Judges in New Delhi, on 24th April 2016, have raised ripples in the Media. But, I do not feel that it will move the hard heart of the Govt. of India, considering its behavioral patterns both during the UPA Rule and the NDA Rule. But, we must keep in mind that nobody expected much from the UPA Govt. The apathy of the Congress Regimes since the days of Indira Gandhi, are well known. People are expecting much from the NDA Govt. led by Mr. Narendra Modi, and "that much" is not forthcoming. Judiciary kO achchE din nahI AyA. After the tears also, the GOI may not change.

Like the Congress and UPA regimes of the past, Mr. Narendra Modi's Administration too seems to want that Judiciary should be pliable. To make the judiciary pliable, It seems to long to control the appointment of Judges to the Supreme Court and High Courts. It does not seem to like Judicial Activism.

NO NEED OF MEETINGS OF JUDGES AND CHIEF MINISTERS, ADDRESSED BY PM AND LAW MINISTER.

First of all, there does not appear to be any need for a meeting of Judges and Chief Ministers. By arranging that type of meeting, and addressing it, Prime Minister of India and his associates (Not only present Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, but also previous Prime Ministers also) seem to have wanted to demonstrate that the Judiciary is subordinate to it. There seems to be an intention to brainwash the Judges, and make them more pliable.

GOVT. ROLE SHOULD BE ONLY FACILITATIVE

In my humble view, the Government's role vis-a-vis the Judiciary should be FACILITATING (providing infrastructure, etc.) and NOT ADVISORY. PM or CMs have no business to pontificate the CJI or Chief Justices of High Courts on what they should do or , what they should not do.

In the blog post No. 587, I have reproduced a Face Book post by Shri Arun Jaitley, the Finance Minister of India, and the apparent de-facto adviser to our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.

In that Face Book Post Shri Arun Jaitley referred to the Superiority of five Instruments namely 1. Parliamentary Democracy 2. President 3. Leader of Opposition 4. Law Minister representing the Council of Ministers, 5. Prime Minister representing the Elected Government, -- over the Supreme Court.

ACTIONS SHOULD PROVE THE ARGUMENTS MADE

The manner in which Presidential Rule was introduced in Arunachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, by the so called Superiority of five Instruments namely 1. Parliamentary Democracy 2. President 3. Leader of Opposition 4. Law Minister representing the Council of Ministers, 5. Prime Minister representing the Elected Government shows that every instrument in Democracy can be subverted.

PROBLEM OF CORRUPTION IN JUDICIARY, EVEN AT TOP LEVEL

Of course, even High Courts and Supreme Courts can be subverted. But that is to be dealt with separately. The existence of corruption both in lower and higher judiciary, is conceded even by some Supreme Court Judges. It is not a secret. At the most we can say, that it is unproven secret. Unfortunately, Collegium of Supreme Court has not been able to pay sufficient attention to this crucial problem.

It will not be desirable to leave all the powers relating to Judicial Appoinments only in the hands of a Collegium. It may be necessary for Parliament to create a separate Independent Investigation and Adjudication Organisation. Some of these issues, we have already covered in post No. 587. A brief essence of that arrangement, we shall recapitulate:

GOI OR COLLEGIUM SHOULD NOT HAVE A SAY IN JUDICIAL APPOINTMENTS

1. Executive, whether reprewented by / representing the Cabinet, Law Minister, Law Ministry, President acting under forced advice from Cabinet , should have no role in Judicial Appointments Commission, Judicial Disciplinary Commission. The Judicial Appointments Commission, Judicial Disciplinary Commission Members should get their automatic membership. This is possible if we have Retired CJIs, Supreme Court Judges, High Court Chief Justices, automatically become members of the Judicial Appointments, and Judicial Discipline Commission. The moment a Judge retires, the Registrar of the Court should communicate the Retirement details to the Registrar of the Judicial Appointments and Judicial Discipline Commissions (two separate Commissions). The Registrars of the Judicial Appointments Commission, and the Judicial Disciplinary Commission should automatically add the names of the Retired Judges into the Membership Register of both the Commission. In the same manner, we can have another Judicial Administration Commission.

NEED OF SECRET BALLOT

2. The Commissions have to elect their Executive Committees through secret ballot. Appointments of Judges will have to be done through open Advertisements through Media, inviting applications. There should be suitable online Written Tests. There should be no need of interviews or recommendations of State and Central Governments, or Collegiums of the Supreme Court. Biodata of all the preliminarily successful candidates are to be placed on the Web pages of the Commission. Then, the Commission General Body Members can further carry out the process of selection through another online Secret ballot.

WHEN DID PARLIAMENT CORRECT JUDICIARY?

So far, there is no instance in the History of Free India, where Parliament has corrected an error made by Supreme Court. This is because our MPs do not care for the Rule of Law. Instead, Parliament in order to circumvent correction of errors made by Legislature, Executive, has made new laws repeating he same errors in a round-about manner. The best example for this type of Executive / Legislative error can be seen in the Mohd. Ahmed Khan v. Shah Bano Begum (1985 SCR (3) 844), commonly referred to as the Shah Bano case, where Rajiv Gandhi to please the Muslim Clerics made the Waqf Board to pay Maintenance to Muslim Divorcee wives, instead of the erring husbands.

MPS SHOULD PROVE THEIR LEGAL ACUMEN AND COMPETENCE

Even now, it is not too late. Our Parliament Members can take interest in what the Supreme Court and High Courts are doing, and write some articles containing their analyses, where and how Supreme Court and High Courts have gone wrong. It is high time that Lok Sabha in India proves its legal acumen and competence, by showing its competence and efficiency. Then there will be no need to wail that Supreme Court, an UNELECTED BODY is trying to overact and impose its jurisdiction over Parliament. In fact, Parliamentary competence and efficiency will reduce the burden of the Supreme Court and State High Courts. Then, very few people will approach High Courts and Supreme Court, under Art. 226 and Art. 32, writ jurisdictions.

Mr. Arun Jaitley, and Mr. Narendra Modi have their own Web sites. They can take any single case where the Supreme Court has gone wrong, in respect of which Parliament has acted correctly. It will not be sufficient for them to say that Parliamentary Democracy is superior or Prime Minister is superior or Law Minister is superior.

Mr. Narendra Modi is reported to have said: "If Constitutional barriers do not create any problems, ten top Ministers and Senior Supreme Court Judges can sit together in a closed room to find a solution to the room".

WHY CLOSED ROOM? TO LECTURE JUDGES?

The hard reality in our country is: The top Ministers in our so called glorified democracy are "glorified clerks" of the Prime Ministers and Chief Ministers, because they can be swept away from the Cabinet with a jhAdu (broom) whenever Prime Ministers and Chief Ministers want. Our Presidents and Governors are just rubber stamps. Incidentally, what the Ministers have got to talk to Judges? Give them lectures? Then why a closed room?

NO DANGER IN TEMPORARILY CONTINUING THE EXISTING PRACTICE OF COLLEGIUM DOMINATION

>br />Out of 170 names sent by Collegium for High Court Judge appointments, 169 names are reported to be pending wih the Government of India. If this information is correct, then we may have a reason to believe that GOI is deliberately blocking and delaying Judicial Appointments, because Judiciary wanted to continue the existing practices and procedures of appointments. The Government, ethically and also keeping in mind the problems of the People, should have cleared some of the pending applications recommended by Collegium on merits. This can be done, while the Government -- making it clear, that their action of the clearing the applications is without prejudice to its right to devise new methods and procedures for future Judicial Appointments.

NATURAL JUSTICE

I request my Readers not to forget about the superiority of NATURAL JUSTICE over Parliament and Supreme Court. Though there is no clear-cut definition of what constitutes Natural Justice and what does not constitute Natural Justice, many times it can be found that children and adolescents can identify what is just and what is not just, by applying their minds, on natural justice. The peculiarity of Natural Justice is, persons who have a conscience can easily identify it, because it is not clouded by selfishness.

Personal Life Story

History was scripted in the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhawan on the evening of 26th May 2014 as Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister of India after a historic mandate from the people of India. In Narendra Modi, the people of India see a dynamic, decisive and development-oriented leader who has emerged as a ray of hope for the dreams and aspirations of a billion Indians. His focus on development, eye for detail and efforts to bring a qualitative difference in the lives of the poorest of the poor have made Narendra Modi a popular and respected leader across the length and breadth of India.
Narendra Modi’s life has been a journey of courage, compassion and constant hardwork. At a very young age he had decided to devote his life in service of the people. He displayed his skills as a grass root level worker, an organiser and an administrator during his 13 year long stint as the Chief Minister of his home state of Gujarat, where he ushered a paradigm shift towards pro-people and pro-active good governance.

Formative Years

Narendra Modi’s inspiring life journey to the Office of Prime Minister began in the by-lanes of Vadnagar, a small town in North Gujarat’s Mehsana district. He was born on the 17th of September 1950; three years after India had gained its Independence. This makes him the first Prime Minister to be born in independent India. Mr. Modi is the third child born to Damodardas Modi and Hiraba Modi. Mr. Modi comes from a family of humble origins and modest means. The entire family lived in a small single storey house which was approximately 40 feet by 12 feet.
Narendra Modi’s formative years taught him early tough lessons as he balanced his studies, non-academic life to spare time to work at the family owned Tea Stall as the family struggled to make ends meet. His school friends remember that as a child also he was very industrious and had an affinity for debates and a curiosity to read books. Schoolmates recollect how Mr. Modi used to spend many hours reading in the local Library. As a child he was also fond of swimming.
Mr. Modi’s thoughts and dreams as a child were quite removed from how most children of his age thought. Perhaps it was the influence of Vadnagar which once used to be a vibrant center of Buddhist learning and spirituality many centuries ago. As a child also he always felt a strong urge to make a difference to society. He was highly influenced by the works of Swami Vivekananda which laid the foundation of his journey towards spiritualism and which inspired him to pursue the mission to fulfill Swamiji’s dream of making India a Jagat Guru.
At the age of 17 he left home to travel across India. For two years he travelled across the expansive landscape of India exploring various cultures. When he returned home he was a changed man with a clear aim of what he wanted to achieve in life. He went to Ahmedabad and joined Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). RSS is a socio-cultural organisation working towards the social and cultural regeneration of India. It was a tough routine for Narendra Modi in Ahmedabad since 1972 when he became a Pracharak for RSS. His day began at 5 am and went on till late night. Late 1970s also saw a young Narendra Modi join the movement to restore Democracy in India which was reeling under Emergency.
While continuing to shoulder different responsibilities within the Sangh during the 1980s Narendra Modi emerged as an Organizer exemplar with his organizing skills. In 1987 a different chapter began in the life of Mr. Modi when he started work as the General Secretary of the BJP in Gujarat. In his first task Mr. Modi won a victory for the BJP in Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation elections for the first time ever. He also ensured that the BJP was a close second to the Congress in the 1990 Gujarat Assembly elections. In the 1995 Assembly elections Mr. Modi’s organizational skills ensured the BJP’s vote share increased and the party won 121 seats in the Assembly.
Mr. Modi worked as the National Secretary of BJP from 1995 looking after party’s activities in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. As BJP’s General Secretary Organisation he worked to ensure the BJP won the 1998 Lok Sabha elections. It was in September 2001 that Mr. Modi received a phone call from then Prime Minister Vajpayee which opened a new chapter in his life taking him from the rough and tumble of Organizational Politics to the world of Governance. Years in Governance

Narendra Modi’s evolution from quintessential Organization Man of the BJP to one of India’s best known leaders recognized for his Good Governance over a span of a decade tells a story of grit, determination and Strong Leadership in the face of grave adversity. Narendra Modi’s transition from the world of Political Organizing to the realm of Administration and Governance neither had the luxury of time nor the benefit of training. Shri Modi had to learn the ropes of Administration while on the job right from Day One. Mr. Modi approved mentioning about his balancing between his studies, and work in the family teastall.  He also approved mentioning about his industriousness, affinity for debates, curiosity to read books, spending many hours in local library, his fondness for swimming, his thoughts being out of tune with the thoughts of children of his age, his being influenced by Swami Vivekananda, his journey towards spiritualism, his desire to fulfill Swami Vivekananda's dream of making India a Jagadguru, his two years travels across India, etc.   Let us be proud of all these achievements of his.

While narrating personal life stories of great men, marriage is regarded as an important mile stone.  Personal life stories become incomplete when a mention is not made about marriage and  children.  Hindus (should we say sanAtana dharma?) regard marriage as a very sacred institution.
గొప్ప వ్యక్తుల జీవిత గాథలను చెప్పెటపుడు, వివాహం ఒక ముఖ్య మైలు రాయిగా భావించ పడుతుంది.  వివాహం గురించి, పిల్లల గురించి వ్రాయకపోతే, జీవిత కథలు, ఆత్మ కథలు అసంపూర్ణంగా ఉంటాయి.  హిందువులు వివాహ వ్యవస్థను ఎంతో పవిత్రమైనదిగా భావిస్తారు.



But why does our Hon. Prime Minister hide about his marriage to Ms. Jashoda Ben, and that he sacrificed his married life to serve this Great country?  He need or need not have mentioned (at his discretion) that the too early marriage was a mistake of elders.
కానీ మన గౌరవనీయ ప్రధాన మంత్రిగారు శ్రీమతి జశోదా బెన్ గారితో జరిగిన తన వివాహం గురించి ఎందుకు అధికారిక వెబ్ సైట్ లో ప్రస్తావించకుండా దాచిపెట్టారు ?  తాను తన వ్యక్తిగత వివాహిక జీవితాన్ని భారతమాత సేవకోసం తృణ ప్రాయంగా వదిలేసానని కావాలంటే జోడించుకోవచ్చు.  పెద్దల తప్పు వల్ల తన వివాహం జరిగిందని కావాలంటే బహిరంగ పరుచుకో వచ్చు, లేదనుకుంటే మాన వచ్చు.

For the sake of her husband, Ms. Jashoda Ben is praying thousand Gods, and visiting sacred spots.  Just by mentioning her name on PM's official website, will there be any obstacle to PM's  life-dedicated service to Nation?  अपने पती के लिये मा जशोदा बॆन, हजार देव देवताओं को प्रार्धना कर रही है।  कई पूण्य तीर्ध दर्शन कर चुकी है, कर रही है, करेगी ।  प्रधान मंत्रीजी के अफिषियल् वॆब सैट पर, सिर्फ हर नाम की प्रस्ताव करने सै, हमारे गौरवनीय प्रधान मंत्रीजी के प्रगाढ देश सेवा निरती को भंग नहीं होगा न ?
తన కొరకు ఆమె వేయి దేవుళ్ళకు ప్రార్ధిస్తున్నది కదా.  పుణ్యతీర్ధాలను సందర్శిస్తున్నది కదా.  ఆమె పేరును ప్రస్తావించినంత మాత్రానే, ప్రధానమంత్రిగారి దేశ సేవా కార్య క్రమానికి భంగం వాటిల్లదు కదా?

Our Prime Minister, while filing nominations to Gujarat Assembly in previous elections , did not disclose his marital status in his nomination papers (left the column blank as if it was not necessary), though he was married as early as in 1960s or in 1970s.

Our Prime Minister, disclosed his marital status only in 2014 Parliament  elections, while contesting from VadOdAra Constituency.  Probable reason, a legal compulsion arising out of a Supreme Court ruling that disclosure of marital status, spouse's name, details of his/her properties, is essential.

Now, let us compare our beloved Prime Minister's advice to the Judiciary, in the dinner-he-hosted=cum-Conference of Chief Ministers and High Court Judges held on 5th April in New Delhi VignAn Bhavan.  He advised the top Judges of this country to introspect into their judgements.

The Indo Pak World Cup Cricket Matches are not cockfights.   Besides, the match which India has just won is only one among several league matches.    Cricket is one among several sports.  This particular sport is a visage of the colonial era.  Winning or losing a match should not involve any national prestige.  Revelling youth (धूमधाम करने वाले युवता) may lose sight of this wisdom, because of their immaturity. 



But, how can President of a country and its Prime Minister lose their wisdom and congratulate a team, of one particular sport, in a particular match?  Wins and losses in games and sports do take place in a routine manner, and there is nothing at stake.  Congratulating one's own winning team, at a particular moment of Indian history, when the relations between India and Pakistan are extremely strained, is in my humble view very very foolish.

The I.A.S, I.F.S., I.P.S.. Officers advising the President and Prime Minister should have counseled their political bosses appropriately, even if it may result in job loss or a North East Posting to such mis-adventuring bureaucrats.

South Indian Music tune (popularly called Carnatic Music) has well-organised and neatly structured classification system, when compared to Western Music, North Indian Music (Hindusthani Music).

North Indian Music does not bother much about tunes (rAgAs) of dual tone notes, such as two rishabhas (c# and d), two gandharas(d# and e), two madhyamas (f and f#), two dhaivatas (g# and a) and two nishadas (a# and b) in the same octave.  The Hindusthani Music simply calls such use of anya svaras as 'misr' (mixed) and entertain them, as long as they do not miss in melody.  But, there is no effort, to scientifically organise them.  

Salagam is a parent tune (janaka rAga), bearing mELakarta No. 25, which uses both c# and d, g# and a, while omitting the traditional gandhars (d# and e) and traditional nishads (a# and b).

 Real life experience, semi-autobiographical.  Whenever, I go outstation, to my son's houses, sometimes, I carry my flute with me as a part of my luggage, to carry out my early morning practice there.  As my flute is somewhat bass, it is slightly longer than common flutes, and it naturally protrudes from bags.  Such protrusions, rarely other passengers bother about.  

Recent depiction of flute playing in one Telugu film Gopala Gopala in which Hero Pavan Kalyan is hero, seems to have generated some interest in flutes and dancing to steps.  In one railway station, a youth of 20 years, a student asked me about my flute out of curiosity.  He took it and tried to make some sound out of it.  Because of lack of practice or preliminary knowledge, or owing to an unwillingness to make sufficient effort, he could not produce any sounds.  He forgot to remember that Pavan Kalyan was holding flute and dancing as per director's instructions, and that it will take several months , if not several years, to master a musical instruments, particularly the INDIAN MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS.   Then he asked me:  

'How many days, it will take to learn flute?'

I: About three months, to get basic fingering.

He: Can't we learn in 15 days?

I could not reply.

This type of comments instigate regional hatred, though they may be facts. ఇటువంటి వ్యాఖ్యలు సత్యాలే అయినా ప్రాంతీయ విద్వేషాలను రెచ్చగొడతాయి.

Every leader, be it Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Narendra Modi make this type of speeches, to whichever Region/State they go. ప్రతి నేతా, సోనియా గాంధీ, రాహుల్ గాంధీ, నరేంద్రమోడీ, ఏ ప్రాంతానికి| రాష్ట్రానికి వెళ్ళినా ఇటువంటి ఉపన్యాసాలే ఇస్తూ ఉంటారు.

తెలుగులో ఒక సామెత ఉంది. ఏ రోటి దగ్గర ఆపాట పాడటం. Telugu language has a proverb. Singing the song appropriate to the corn-grinding-stone =mortar. (Upto near 1950, corn/flour used to be ground with hand pestles on stone grinders. 2 or 3 persons used to apply the pestle in turn. While operating the pestles, they used to sing folk songs. The songs used to vary depending on the house in which the mortar is located and grinding work is done. )

అస్సాం వెళ్తే అస్సాం పాట, తమిళ నాడు వెళ్తే తమిళనాడు పాట. Assam song is sung when leaders go to Assam, and Tamil Nadu song is sung when they go to Tamil Nadu.

నరేంద్రమోడీ గారూ, అరవింద కేజ్రీవాల్ గారూ భిన్నంగా ఉండాలని కదా మనం కోరుకునేది. What do we expect? Narendra Modi and Aravind Kejriwal ought to be different.
