Ans: For example, we shall take China. How many millionnaires and billionnaires are there in China? What part of Chinese Corporates, Shares and Financial Instruments, Mines, Industries are owned by Chinese billionnaires, politicians, corrupt officials, and Chinese rich persons? What part of all these, are owned by MNCs, Corporates from Capitalist countries like U.S.A., Europe, Australia and Canada? What are the wages paid to sweat workers in China? Why Chinese rural poor are not allowed to enter into Chinese cities? Why China oppresses and suppresses workers' strikes? 439 Should there be only one Communist Party in India? Is Communist Unity compulsory?

Today evening, I had a fortune of interacting with two CPIM door-to-door canvassers, in a friend's house.   During the interaction, my friend expressed a little dis-satisfaction about disunity between the two major Communist parties, and among various Communist Parties in India.



After coming home, I had some brain-storming in my mind about unity among Communist Parties in India.  Earlier also, I had applied my mind on this particular problem.

Having only one Communist Party has its own set of problems.  1. Monopolies are dangerous.  2. If the top leaders of that single party get sold out or become adamant, there will be no alternative.  3. Healthy competition among Communist Parties will promote a healthy Communist Movement.  4. What Karl Marx envisaged, according to me, does not seem to be one party rule or one party dictatorship.  The interpretation of dictatorship of proletariat, as dictatorship one a single Communist Party, seems to be a misinterpretation which took place in U.S.S.R., East Europe, China, Cuba etc.  Such misinterpretation resulted in capturing of the Communist Parties in those countries, by unscrupulous dictators for establishing themselves as lifetime dictators.





If Karl Marx had really prescribed that there should be only one Communist Party for the entire proletariat of a country, we can safely say that he had gone wrong somewhere, and we can go for pluralist Communism (Multi party Communism).



What Marx envisaged in the phrase 'dictatorship of proletariat' appears to be that rulers should come only from working class.  It implies that, there can be any number of parties, as long as they are led by workers and working class,  distinguished from bourgeoisie and owners.



Besides, once inequalities are razed to ground, by removal of private property, and socialisation of national productive resources, the persons of bourgeoisie and owner classes will have to become workers, and there is bound to be only one class, i.e. working class or proletariat.  Dictatorship of proletariat becomes democracy of proletariat.



Next consequence will be, leaders of workers may have to contest with one another in winning the confidence of the proletariat which is nothing but the whole population and the whole electorate.  This competition among workers' leaders, will necessarily lead to more than one Communist Party.



The common argument used by those who are worried about disunity among Communist Parties, is the risk of splitting of votes.   This problem superficially looks serious because, voters sympathise bourgeoisie parties owing to numerous reasons such as voter bribing, liquor, caste, religion, landlord domination, industrialist domination etc.





If voters really understand what Communism really means, and the benefits it confers, the top two parties will be CPI and CPM (or vice versa) or some other Communist Party.  Thus, there is no risk in having more number of Communist Parties, as long as they work as 'live parties' and not end up as dormant  inert zombies.



A natural consequence, probably, of course, will be a ban of bourgeoisie parties for ever in the history of that country.

 Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu knows where to hit the Communists, when and with what!  कम्यूनिस्ट पार्टीयों को कहाँ, कब, कैसा, किस से मारना, श्री चंद्रबाबु नायुडू को पता है।  వామపక్షాలను ఎక్కడ ఎప్పుడు ఎలా దేనితో కొట్టాలో శ్రీచంద్రబాబు నాయుడు గారికి బాగా తెలుసు.


Shri Chandra Babu Naidu is reported to have said.  सूत्रों और मीडिया के अनुसार, आंध्र प्रदेश मुख्य मंत्री श्री चंद्र बाबु नायुडु ने पत्रकारों से कहा --

“The Left party wants 10 acres for a party office but expects us to construct capital in 1,000 acres; isn’t this absurd? ...”

वह वाम पक्ष अपने पार्टी कार्यालय को दस एकर जमीन चाहता है, परन्तु वही पार्टी राज्य के राजधानी को हम हजार एकर में निर्माण करना  चाहता है।  क्या यह बेतूका और असंगत नहीँ ?

ఈ వామపక్ష పార్టీ తమ కార్యాలయానికి ౧౦ ఎకరాల భూమిని అడుగుతున్నది.  కానీ మేము రాష్ట్ర రాజధానిని కేవలం ౧౦౦౦ ఎకరాలలోనే నిర్మించాలని కోరుతున్నది.  ఇది అసంగతం మరియు వివేకశూన్యంగా లేదా?

Indian Communists have a weakness, a temptation for lands and buildings for party offices, with modern furniture.  (Swami Vivekananda, albeit a monk, too had this temptation for lands, buildings, and furniture).  Consequent corollary to this temptation, Communists fell a prey to support Bourgeoisie parties, simply because the Governments were allotting a few acres of land for party offices, libraries, meeting halls, libraries, research centres, memorials, etc. etc.


भारतीय कम्यूनिस्टों को पहले से एक निर्बलता और शौक है कि वे अपने पार्टी कार्यालयों के लिये हर राज्य के राजधानि में, और हर जिले के मुख्य शहर में, विस्तृत जमीन सरकारों से पूछ कर लेते हैं।  बाहर से सरकारों को सपोर्टु देने से, यह फाइदा उठना, एक आदत हो गया।  राज्य सर्कारों से सभी राजकीय पार्टी, पत्राधिपतीयों जमीन लेते हैं।  लेकिन वाम पक्षों को उस लैन में खडे रहना प्रकाशमान नहीं होते।  वाम पक्षों को सन्योसियों से ज्यादा विरक्ती और वैराग्य होना चाहिये.  बडे भवन, मीटिंग हाल्स, आधुनिक फर्नीचर, ग्रंधालय, दिवंगत नेताओं के लिये बडे स्मारक चिह्न, आदी के लिये राज्य सरकारों के सामने भीक मांगने से वाम पक्ष अपने नैतिक स्थिती को नीचे अपन ही गिरवाये।

నల్ల బజారు వ్యాపారులనో కాళ్ళు పట్టుకుని భవనాలు నిర్మించుకోటం, పెద్ధపెద్ద మీటింగు హాళ్ళు, లైబ్రరీలు, రీసర్చి సెంటర్లు, దివంగత నేతల కోసం స్మారక చిహ్నాలు, ఏర్పాటు చేసుకోటం,  ఆధునిక ఫర్నీచర్ సమకూర్చుకోటం, జరిగింది, జరుగుతున్నాయి.  బయట నుండి మద్దతునివ్వటం, ఒక తరహా క్విద్ ప్రో కో కి దారి తీసింది.  కమ్యూనిస్టులు అంటే సన్యాసులకన్నా ఎక్కువ విరక్తిని, వైరాగ్యాన్ని కలిగి ఉండాలి.  (స్వామీ వివేకానందా గారికి కూడ ఇలా ఎకరాల కొద్దీ భూములు, భవనాలు, ఫర్నీచర్, మంచాలు, మార్బుల్స్ వ్యామోహం ఉండేది.)

Now we can see, how Chandra Babu Naidu used the request of the Communists for their party office in new Residual Andhra Pradesh Capital City for 10 acres land, to hit them at the crucial spot.
