AP's Amaravati though is famous as a Buddhist heritage tourist location, is in terms of population and development, smaller than Maharashtra's Amaravati. Letters, parcels, persons etc. intended for AP's Amaravati may by error go to Maharashtra's Amaravati. What can be true test for the greatness of a place / civilisation ? Sculpture? Prayer places? Definitely not. In my humble view, we should apply the test: How were the lives of small and marginal farmers, agricultural laborers, rural artisans, slaves, bhikshus, bhikkunis, monks, in those days? In this respect of the happiness of rural lives of those days, there is not enough proof. For example, in Buddhism, while top Gurus enjoyed all luxuries and relaxations, the lower rung bhikkus and bhikkunis (female monks) lost their human rights. The scriptures of those days (not necessarily Manu smriti, even Buddhist codes) were very rigid and unkind to people. The glories attributed to the Amaravati, Dhanyakatakam, Sri Parvatam (Nagarjuna Konda), Chandavara, Gummadidurru, Vaddamanu etc. may not stand to tests of reasonableness.

In my humble view, we can name the new AP Capital as 1680city or 16188029city. The first four or eight numbers indicate the latitude and longitude of Tullur , Guntur, Vijayawada, almost many places of Middle A.P. and Rayala Seema including Kurnool, Anantapur. The advantage of naming a place with its latitude and longitude number is, it will not only be controversy free, but also it will enable and facilitate new persons to locate it on the globe or on Google Earth, or on a world map with easy and felicity. Similarly Visakhapatnam can also be named after its latitude and longitude number i.e. 1783city.

ఒక నాగరికత గొప్పది అని చెప్పాలంటే కొలమానం ఏమిటి ? శిల్పాలా ? భారీ సంఖ్యలో బడా ప్రార్ధనాలయాలా ? కానే కాదు. నా గాడిద బుధ్ధి ప్రకారం, మనం వాడ వలసిన కొలమానం ఏమిటంటే, ఆ నాగరికత వర్ధిల్లిన కాలంలో, చిన్న బక్కరైతుల స్థితి గతులు ఏమిటి ? వ్యవసాయకూలీల పరిస్థితి ఏమిటి ? గ్రామీణ వృత్తి కారులు అంటే మృణ్ శిల్పులు (కుమ్మరివారు), లోహ శిల్పులు (కమ్మరివారు), దారు శిల్పులు (కార్పెంటర్లు), శుభ్రతా దేవుళ్ళు (రజకులు), పాదరక్షకులు, ఇలాగా సమాజంలో ఒకరికొకరు సేవలుచేసుకుంటూ ఉండే పెర్ఫార్మర్లు సుఖులై దీర్ఘాయువులై ఉన్నారా ? లేక కష్టాలు పడుతూ వలసపోతున్నారా ? బౌధ్ధ భిక్షువులు, బౌధ్ధ భిక్కుణులు (మహిళా సన్యాసినులు), వీళ్ళు పెర్ఫార్మర్లు కాదు. ఆంధ్ర శాతవాహన రాజులకు, రాణులకు గురువులుగా వ్యవహరించిన బడా బౌధ్ధ గురువులు మాత్రమే కాక, ఇతర దేశాలలోని బడా బౌధ్ధగురువులు కూడ, తమ క్రింద ఉండే ఛోటా బౌధ్ధ భిక్షువులకు, భిక్కుణులకు కఠిన మైన నిబంధనలను విధించి వారి జీవితాలను దుర్భరం చేశారు. వారి మానవ హక్కులకు భంగం కలిగించారు. నాటి బౌధ్ధ వైభవం గురించి (నాప రాళ్ళ మీద శిల్పాలు తప్ప) నిజంగా డప్పు కొట్టుకొని ప్రచారం చేసుకోవాల్సింది ఎక్కువ లేదనే చెప్పాలి.
While real estate businesses, hotels, taxis etc. may do some fast businesses by trumpeting on Buddhist circuits, what joy people can get from inflated histories?
బౌధ్ధం పేరు, రాజధాని పేరు చెప్పుకొని రియల్ ఎస్టేట్ ల వాళ్ళు, హోటళ్ళ వాళ్ళు, టాక్సీల వాళ్ళూ బౌధ్ధ టూరిస్టు సర్క్యూట్ లను సృష్టించి, కోట్లు కుమ్ముకోటానికి ఈప్రచారం పనికి వస్తుందే తప్ప ప్రజల జీవితాలు మెరుగు కావు.

In my humble view, we can name the new AP Capital as 1680city or 16188029city. The first four or eight numbers indicate the latitude and longitude of Tullur , Guntur, Vijayawada, almost many places of Middle A.P. and Rayala Seema including Kurnool, Anantapur. The advantage of naming a place with its latitude and longitude number is, it will not only be controversy free, but also it will enable and facilitate new persons to locate it on the globe or on Google Earth, or on a world map with easy and felicity. Similarly Visakhapatnam can also be named after its latitude and longitude number i.e. 1783city.
నా గాడిద బుధ్ధి ఏమి చెప్తుందంటే, ఏపీ రాజధానికి 1680CITY or 1618-8029city or 16N80E or 1618N8029E వంటి భౌగోళికమైన పేరు పెట్టుకోటం మంచిది. మన విజయవాడ, గుంటూరు, కర్నూలు, అనంతపురం వంటి నగరాలు భూమధ్యరేఖకి 16 డిగ్రీల ఉత్తర అక్షాంశ రేఖ మీద (అంటే అడ్డంగా), 80 డిగ్రీల తూర్పు రేఖాంశం మీద ఉన్నాయి. ఈభూమి మీద తుళ్ళూరు ఎక్కడ ఉందో తెలుసుకోవాలంటే మనం పేరును టైప్ చేసినా, గూగిల్ ఎర్త్ ప్రోగ్రాం అక్షాంశాలు, రేఖాంశాల ఆధారంగానే అన్వేషిస్తుంది. నగరం పేరులోనే అక్షాంశం, రేఖాంశం ఒక ముఖ్యభాగంగా ఉంటే, ఆ నగరం ఎక్కడ ఉంది అనేది, ప్రపంచంలోని ఇతర దేశాలవాళ్ళకి తేలికవుతుంది.
Visakha's latitude 17 is Norther than Vijayavada Guntur Kurnool which are on 16. Visakha's East longitude is 83, ie. East to Vijayawada Guntur Kurnool most of which fall on 80 East. విశాఖ అక్షాంశం 17N. రేఖాంశం 83E. కనుక మనం విశాఖను visakha17N83E అని పిలిస్తే ప్రపంచ ప్రజలకు విశాఖయొక్క భౌగోళిక స్థానం బాగా అర్ధం అవుతుంది.
