742 (Part 11/10) of Sri Venkateswara, Lord VishNu, Goddess Lakshmi. Now: Alien Religions through reckless conversions can destroy Indian Culture

This is Part 11 of the series of our explorative studies on various probabilities of history and origin of the Lord Venkateswara's (Balaji) shrine at Tirumala-Tirupati. This is in continuation of our blog posts 508, 511, 512, 513, 584, 597, 631, 739, 740, 741. For those who wish to study them (studying them will broaden our frame of thinking-i.e. perspective.), here are the links: To go to 508- Part1/10. To go to 511- Part2/10. To go to 512- Part3/10. To go to 513- Part4/10. To go to 584- Part5/10. To go to 597- Part6/10. To go to 631- Part7/10. . To go to 739- Part8/10. . To go to 740- Part9 /10. . To go to 741- Part10 /10. .
Question: You say that you oppose conversion of Indians into alien religions. This is nothing but intolerance.

Answer: 1. First of all, there is no definition of what constitutes tolerance and what else constitutes intolerance. These are all subjective terms. In Telugu language translation of Vyasa's Epic Mahabharata, by Telugu Poet Tikkana, there is a Telugu verse, which gives us a rough indication of what we can follow as 'justice' and 'ethics':-

orulE yavi onarincina
naravara tana manambunaku apriyam bagu tAn
orulaku avi sEya kuniki
parAyaNamu dharma pathamula kellan.

English: If something done by a person to us- hurts us, THE GREATEST DUTY, JUSTICE AND ETHICS FOR US WILL BE, NOT DOING THE SAME THING TO OTHERS.

Prove your hypotheses with practical example:

Answer: Rev. Barrows was 2nd in Command of the persons who organised the World Parliament of Religions held at Chicago in 1893, which was attended by Swami Vivekananda and others from India. Rev. Barrows, apparently, wanted to popularise and publicise Christianity as the principal religion of the World, at the Chicago Congress. It might have worked, or it might not have worked, we can't say.

I also get an impression that Rev. Barrows wanted to use Mazoondar of Brahmo Samaj, and Swami Vivekananda, as his tools. But this, apparently did not work.

After completing his principal task of participating in the World Parliament of Religions, Vivekananda ought to have returned to India, and continued his work in this poor country India. Instead, he chose to stay there for some years, make some dollars, giving some lectures. In the process, he started converting American Aristocratic Women into Ramakrishna cult of Hinduism. Actually, Hinduism is neither a formal religion , nor it has formal provisions for conversion of others into Hinduism. This conversion might have caused some bruises to Rev. Barrows.

Rev. Barrows too toured India, on his mission of Converting Indians into Christianity. It is difficult to say how far Rev. Barrows succeeded. But, bitterness resulted between Swami Vivekananda and Rev. Barrows.

ybrao-a-donkey's humble opinion: Even now, it is high time that Organisations such as Ramakrishna Math, Iskon, etc. which have their branches abroad, should openly declare that they will not convert anybody into Hinduism, unless there are very very strong exceptional reasons such as court orders. Simultaneously, they should demand that Alien Religions are not to venture in India for converting Indians into alien religions.
Question: What is its relevance to your previous blog-posts about Aryan Migration from Arctic (Scandinavia, Latvia, Lithuania, Old Prussia etc.), and the adoption of Latvian Gods into India?

Ans: The main problem with large scale conversions by alien religions is, they not only destroy the native culture, but also ALL EVIDENCES OF NATIVE HISTORY. One straight question which European Governments and the American Government have to answer: What was the History of Europe before entry of Christianity into Europe, from Israel? Christianity is a West Asian Religion. Why did the Romans destroy entire pre-christian history of Europe? What was the History of America, before the migration of Europeans into United States? Didn't the Native American Indians have any history of their own at all? Why should the American History start with Columbus or George Washington? Today, we can't get the Ancient or Medieval Histories of America or Europe, without Religious colors.

One happy future of Aryan migration from Nordisca into India from about 5000 BC to 0001 A.D. seems to be, that they had not been controlled from abroad. May be because, there were long gaps of distance. There were no transport facilities. There were no communications. Consequently, the migrant Aryans, though may be unwillingly, merged into Indian Society, borrowed heavily from Indian Culture, and also lent heavily to Indian Culture. The aggregate result of all that exchange is, India today has a composite culture, which some people call "Hinduism" (not Hindu religion), and some others call "sanAtana dharma". Whatever terms are employed, the Culture has had some merits, and some very very painful demerits such as untouchability, oppression of lower castes etc. Whatever be the past of India, today India is a country of MIXED-RACIALITY.

But, the present two alien religions which are converting people into their religions on a massive scale, using money as baits, making false promises, making negative propaganda and spreading falsehoods against Indian culture, have done great damage to Indian Lives during the last 1000 years, and even after India gained independence, they are continuing their activities which are harmful and injurious to India. Congress, and other so self-declared Secular parties have encouraged, and are encouraging the Conversions, in the name of protection to minorities. Some political parties like BJP, Shiva Sena are using these DISHARMONIOUS CONDITIONS for gaining political power to themselves.

It is, therefore, highly essential that the conversion activities of alien religions are to be stopped. Alien Organisations are controlled from abroad both formally and informally.

Example for formal controls from abroad: Who appoints Arch Bishops and , Bishops in India? Can't Indian Dioceses elect their own Arch Bishops and Bishops?

Example of informal controls: Donations from Saudi Arabia, for running Madrasas and building prayer-houses.

International Religious interferences, can infringe into sovereignities of countries. They harm the DEMOCRATIC and REPUBLIC character of countries. Sometimes, guidelines from alien Institutions can violate the internal security of the recipient countries. There will also be confusion in the minds of the followers of alien religions, whether to follow the secular guidelines of the Government of the Native country, or to follow the guidelines of alien Religious Heads? Unity of Command is an important prerequisite for survival of any Republic. Members of the Republic cannot be controlled by outsiders.
Question: Can you say something about the Bhaja Cave picture posted by you above?

Ans: -The picture is reported to belong to the OLDEST TEMPLE in India, in Bhaja Caves, Maharashtra, near Lonavala. It is said to belong to 400 B.C. i.e. about 2500 yrs. old. The picture shows, inter alia (among other things), a woman playing a double-drum percussion instrument, which looks like a tabla. On the right side, we can see a long wind-piped instrument, may be something like a shehnai (called 'nAda svaram or sannAyi' in South India). The Bhaja Caves, according to experts, belong to HinayAna Buddhism, track of Buddhism. In the previous blog posts, we have seen that the same caves contained the chariot of Sun God (sUrya), and the elephant-riding Indra (parjanya), which I have tried to link to Latvia-Lithuania-Old~Prussia-Sudovia-Esthonia, and only partially succeeded.

One question which repeatedly is haunting my mind is: Could the HinayAna Buddhism also have come from Europe, along with Aryans? Was Buddha (or Siddhardha in his early life) also a European? After entry into India, could the HinayAna Buddhism have developed into MahAyAna Buddhism? In my earlier blog posts, I have expressed a view that the culture of Ancient Indians was nearer to Ancient Jains of Tamil Nadu (Not SvEtAmbara modern Jainism). For this reason only, I was tempted to subscribe to the view that Sri Venkateswara's Temple at Tirumala was a Jain Shrine taken over by VishNu worshippers (same Aryans who spread from Lapland to Latvia to Iran/Iraq to Afghanistan to Punjab to Malva to Maharashtra to Karnataka and finally to Tamil Nadu). BukkarAya Sandhi
(Truce made by the Vijayanagara King Bukkaraya between Jains and Shri VaishNavas, about the surrender of Tirumala Temple by Jains to VaishNavas, in exchange for protection to Bahubali at SrAvaNa BeLagola)
, supported this idea.

Though Adolph Hitler tried to possess the ThunderFire or Thunderstone symbol of SVASTIK and the ARYAN word, as Germanic, the Baltics seem to have a better claim to the Svastika. It is true that Svastik is used all over the world, for the last several thousand years. It may be true that we cannot attribute it only to Baltics.

But what made me to wonder is: The presence of Svastik Sign in the foot-prints stone sculptures of Buddha, in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. Period approx. 2nd Century BC to 2nd Century AD. Of course, hundreds of thousands of Indians believe that Svastika is a purely Indian sign, which spread all over the world, with Indian Migrations to SE Asia, and Europe. Right now, my mind still is bent on believing that Svastik is Baltic only. We have to study in greater depth, but it will take indefinite period of time, because the pre-Christian Histories of Scandinavia, North Sea countries, Baltic countries, have been destroyed by the Christian Rulers. The Histories of most of these countries, now start with VIKINGS of the 8th Century A.D.

Till now, my mind continued in the belief that Buddha was from Bihar-Nepal. My doubts about that theory sprouted when the Talibans in Afghanistan destroyed the Bamiyan Buddha Caves in Kandahar. The general prevailing impression seems to be, that Buddhism spread into north-west direction from Bihar-Nepal, along the Ganga-Yamuna route to Kandahar, probably by Ashoka's Feudatives. We can also examine a view that Hinayana Buddhism too has come from Europe into Afghanistan, and further spread Eastwards and Southwards in India, and developed into Mahayana Buddhism at Amaravati and Nagarjuna Konda.

IMPORTANT: These are all only possibilities and probabilities. I am not formulating anything.

741 Part (10/10) of a discussion on origins of Lord Venkateswara, Lord VishNu, Goddess Lakshmi et al.

This is Part 10 of the series of our explorative studies on various probabilities of history and origin of the Lord Venkateswara's (Balaji) shrine at Tirumala-Tirupati. This is in continuation of our blog posts 508, 511, 512, 513, 584, 597, 631, 739, 740. To go to 631- Part7/10. . To go to 739- Part8/10. . To go to 740- Part9 /10. . One important conundrum which remains nearly unexplorable, in the absence of adequate clues and evidence, is the role of 'mahAdEv or paramEswara'. 'mahA' and 'paramA' are attributive prefixes (adjectives) to describe 'dieve' or 'deive'.

In the above photo, it can be seen that Sun God has four horses instead of Indian norm of seven horses (view of other three might have been obfuscated), whereas Latvian Sun Goddess Saule and Charioteer Usins drive two horses only instead of seven.

In Latvian, Lithuanian folklore, dieve, deive are Superior, even to 'perkons or perknoos' in Latvian folklore (parjanya or God of Thunders i.e. Indra, the Chief of Demy Gods and Lord of Svarga in Indian pantheon). We have also seen that though Usins is masculine, he is regarded only as a charioteer for the Sun Goddess Saule (in Latvian folklore Saule or Surya is feminine). note: Ausera, a Lithuanian Goddess we need not confuse ourselves with Usins. Ausera also meant dawn or 'Ushas'. This only shows that Usins may be VishNu. In the previous post, I have already expressed my feeling that Usins and Saule have been integrated and brought into Indian pantheon as only one i.e. "sUrya-Aditya-vishNu" (integrated name "sUrya nArayana"). Perkons (Parjanya-Indra) was gradually subdued to him. (Example: Lifting of Govardhana Hill by Lord Krishna against the will of Indra who rained thunders to frighten Yadavas).

According to the mythologydictionary.com/baltic-mythology.html, dievs =
"Dievs : A Lettish sky god and fertility god. Consort of Saule. Sometimes referred to as Dievs, Latvian Debestevs, Latvian Debestevs, Dievas, Lithuanian Dievas, Lithuanian Dievas or Debestevs. ".
ybrao-a-donkey: This may be possible because, in Latvian, Lithuanian folklore, Saule is feminine, and dieve could her husband. But, there is also another variation: Moon is husband of Saule.

POSSIBILITIES, PROBABILITIES. साध्यासाध्य, अवकाश సాధ్యాసాధ్యాలు, అవకాశాలు

About "dieve" (in Lithuanian) or "deive" (in Latvian) who is regarded as superior even to Usins, Perkons and Laime, we can make following observations. First, Readers may please see the picture of dieve.

Mahabharata, the Epic by Sage Vyasa, though is a VaishNava scripture like Mahabhagavata, Mahabharata's DrONa parva gives great importance to Lord mahA dEva, who we in India commonly refer as Shiva or Shankar (Shankar MahadEv , Shiv mahadEv in North India). In the above photo, 'dieve' is spelt as 'xieve' (a variation of triangular letter delta for 'd'). As the God is moving on horse, we may have to regard him as Usins or Vishnu, since Laima (Lakshmi) and Mara are accompanying him. Besides, Maha dieve Shiva's vehicle is an ox.

Mara, some critics and analysers thought that, she represented 'Mary' of Christianity. It may not be correct. In Indian pantheon, 'Mara' represents the God Cupid, also called Manmatha, angaja. He is son of Lord Vishnu (Lord Krishna). He was slain by Shankar Mahadev when he penance was disrupted by Mara. Mara's wife was Rati. At her prayer, her husband Mara was again brought back to life, but without a body. Alternatively, 'mara' can be a variation for 'marut', a member of Lord MahA dieve's followers called 'rudra gaNas'. According to Indian pantheon, mahA dieve is also one of the EkAdaSa 11 Rudras. If the dieve on the horse is Usins, 'mara' can be Lord mahAdEv. Anyway, mara is masculine in Indian pantheon.

About Laima Mate, whom Latv-Lithus regard as Goddess of Fate, and Goddess of Child-birth, we have covered in blogpost 740 under ashTa lakshmis (Eight Lakshmis).

POSSIBILITIES, PROBABILITIES. साध्यासाध्य, अवकाश సాధ్యాసాధ్యాలు, అవకాశాలు

Dieve, if regarded as masculine, can be taken as Shankar mahAdEv (Lord Shiva). 'deive' or 'dieve' if regarded as feminine, can be taken as 'dEvi' (in Indian pantheon dEvi = Adi Sakti, the Mother Goddess of all the three i.e. Brahma, VishNu, and Shankar Mahadev). According to one Indian legend, Adi Shakti or dEvi asked her sons i.e. Brahma (Creator), VishNu and MahEswar Maha+Iswar to marry her. The first two refused, because it would be incestuous to marry mother. The last one Maheswara agreed to Shakti's request. Hence, the Goddess 'dEvi' is also the wife of Lord Shankar Maha dEv (Great dieve), apart from being mother of all the Three.

740 (Part 9/10) of Lord Venkateswara, Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Usins and Laime Mate of Latvian Folklore

This is Part 9 of the series of our explorative studies on various probabilities of history and origin of the Lord Venkateswara's (Balaji) shrine at Tirumala-Tirupati. This is in continuation of our blog posts 508, 511, 512, 513, 584, 597, 631, 739. For those who wish to study them (studying them will broaden our frame of thinking-i.e. perspective.), here are the links: To go to 508- Part1/10. To go to 511- Part2/10. To go to 512- Part3/10. SOME QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS EXPLAINING LATVIAN GOD USINS and LATVIAN GODDESS LAIME or LAIME MATE -vis-a-vis THE VEDIC GOD VISHNU and VEDIC GODDESS LAKSHMI, similarities and contrasts.

Question: USINS in Latvin Folklore drives only two horses, whereas the chariot of Sun God in India has seven horses. Explain.

ANSWER:-The most important similarity between Usins and the Indian Sun God is they bestow light, and represent LIGHT, apart from traversing the sky along zodiac. Though scholars compare 'Usins' to Vedic Goddess 'Ushas' (dawn), and attribute to it feminine form, and inasmuch as Ushas, Sandhya (two interregnums dawn and dusk), chAya (shadow or shade) are also regarded as feminine and as wives of Sun God, somehow they do not find much significance.

On the other hand, Vedic Sun is treated on par with Lord VishNu, calling him "SrI sUrya nArAyaNa" (nArAyana = Lord VishNu). Besides sUrya (Sun God) and Lord VishNu both are masculine, uterine brothers to Mother Aditi, Father Sage Kashyap, and are members of the 12 AdityAs. The 5th incarnation of Lord VishNu, called vAmana is also one Aditya. Thus Sun God and VishNu are virtually same in Vedic Literature, though some people seem to differentiate Sauram (Sun-worship) from VaishNavam (VishNu worship).

There is a hymn called "Aditya hridayam" = Heart of the Son of Aditya. Though literally, this hymn is regarded as a prayer to Sun God, it can also be interepreted to mean that VishNu being Aditya, the Sun God and VishNu are same. In Valmiki Ramayana, Sage Agastya taught the ADITYA HRIDAYAM to Shri Rama, before the later started his battle with demon Ravana. In mahAbhArata also, the king yudhishThira worshipped and Aditya and Aditya hridayam to get blessings of Sun God, and VishNu.

Reconstruction of the Latvian-Lithuanian-Ancient-Prussian Gods and Goddesses from Latvian folklore, by the Latvian-Lith-Ancient Prussian Researchers, has a longer way to go. Either they may add another five horses to Usins, or Indians may allow flexibility in the number of horses. My humble view: Aryans, starting from Arctic Circle (pl. see my blog post No. ...in which I have given link to download the book of Lokmanya Bala Gangadhara Tilak, proposing that Aryans started their migration from Arctic.).

According to me, from Arctic, the Aryans proceeded to Latvia-LIthuania (Baltics), then Mesapotaemia (at present Iraq), then Afghanistan, and then India. The second route was through Persia (Iran). Mesopotamian Civilisation seems to have a special love for the numbers 7, 12, 60. The relationship between the Mesopotamian Astronomy-Astrology and the Indian Astronomy-Astrology are to be deeply inquired into. Seven horses may represent seven days in a week. The two horses Usins might have shifted to seven horses in Iran / Iraq.

Question: Latvian Goddess Saule, representing Sun, is feminine. How can you equate masculine Vedic Sun (sUrya) with Saule?

Ans: For this reason only, Indian Sun God is to be compared to Usins, instead of Saule. There is another Sanskrit name for the God of Light in Indian traditions: "savitru or savitur" from which we have got the word 'SAvitri'. This 'savitur' dispels darkness, and ignites the intellects of individuals, as can be seen in gAyatri mantram (Chant of gAyatri) regarded as very sacred and secret by scholars for a long time:

Om bhur bhuvar suvar tat savitur varENyam
bhargO dEvasya dhImahi, dhiyO yO nah prachOdayAt.

English Gist: Let us meditate on that excellent glory of the divine vivifying Sun, May he enlighten our understandings. — Translated by Monier Monier-Williams. BhU, bhuvar, suvar are the three worlds earth, nether world, and heaven.

Additional comment from ybrao-a-donkey: This chant is taught during thread-induction ceremonies (called upa-nayanam ceremony) prevalent in some Aryan Castes. The word Upa-nayananm, means 'sub-eye' "opening or providing an additional third eye". This additional eye, is "Eye of Awareness". Some people may believe that this personified "eye of awareness" opens automatically once the upanayanam ceremony is performed. No, not. After the youth is taught the gayatri chant, he has to worship the Sun God (it is Lord VishNU), three times a day, which is not idol worship (saguNam). It is idol-less meditation on the Supreme Power (nir-guNam).

The Baltic Aryans, the Mesopotamian Aryans, the Iranian Aryans, who migrated to India were not idol worshippers. They were worshippers of VishNu (Usins).

Let us see this verse from Bhagavad Gita: CHAPTER 15, VERSE 14 OF BHAGAVAD GITA. You can also have a look at ybrao-a-donkey's translation of Bhagavadgita at Click if you wish to study bhagavadgitayb.blogspot.com by ybrao-a-donkey. This Bhagavadgita has been revised, after removing some unpleasant comments, in the context of pluralism in India, and the delicate minds of Indians. However, I welcome questions on any particular verse. I shall reply with proof, to the extent possible.
aham vaisvanaro bhUtva
prANinAm deham asritah
prAnApana-samayuktah
pacAmi annam catur-vidham.

English: I am the fire of digestion in every living body. I am the air of life, outgoing and incoming. I digest the four kinds of foodstuff.

ybrao-a-donkey: Light, fire, heat, Air these four atributes, the Aryans have blended into their Supreme God. Though in strict sense "vaiSvAnara" some people may take only as Fire God, light and fire are interdependent. The Star Sun itself is a big burning fire ball, emanating glowing light. Hence, "VaisVanara" can be taken to mean "Usins".

There are many other interpretations and translations. Here is a link which gives word-to-word meaning of the gAyatri chant: Click to go to eaglespace.com. .

When I give links to external websites which report, explain, comment etc., it does not mean that I endorse everything they write/publish. Some of the things they publish have valuable contributions, probably more valuable than things I write here. It is for the Reader to work with his discriminative abilities.

Shall finish shortly.

529 Part 3 of Clarifications on atheism. yoga भाग १, निरीश्वर वाद, योगा, के विषय में कुछ स्पष्टीकरण. నిరీశ్వరవాదం (నాస్తికత్వ), మరియు యోగా విషయంలో కొన్ని స్పష్టీకరణలు.

World language English in Roman script: प्रपंच भाषा अंग्रेजी, रोमन स्क्रिप्ट में। ప్రపంచ భాష ఇంగ్లీషు రోమన్ స్క్రిప్టులో.

The question "Does God really exist?" is thousands of years old.

Answer for this complex, disputed, ethereal, sticky, tricky, question lies in the definition of the word "God".

There are several threads of multi-twined-yarn, in this grand rope of the word "God".

The foremost two threads, we shall take up.

1. Question प्रश्न ప్రశ్న : Whether God as a "Super-human force exist?".

Answer जवाब జవాబు:   Human, has not as on date, conquered all the forces not only in this expansive universe, but also even on this congested earth. He-she (humans) are on the way of conquering nature (a component of the superhuman force, call it God or by any name). Probably they will succeed. People living in the 21st Century may not live to see it. Hence, it will become worthwhile to say that superhuman forces exist, and one of the attributes of God as a superhuman force holds good as on today. Once humans, with the help of science and technology conquer all the superhuman forces on Earth (conquering Universe comes later), this attribute of God as a superhuman force will have to pave way to something else.

Question प्रश्न ప్రశ్న : Whether God can punish us, reward us, save us?

Answer जवाब జవాబు: No proof of such capabilities or dispositions of God. On the other hand, proofs of a negative answer, we can get abundantly. Best very recent example: 23 people went from Vizianagaram in the Northern-most tip of Andhra Pradesh , about 700km far, to Tirumala situated in the southern most tip of Andhra Pradesh, with all faith and sincerity. The Head of the family was the owner of the vehicle, and he himself was driving it. Every one of them might have prayed to Lord Venkateswara with great devotion, with a hope that they will get optimum rewards, least punishments, and full safety.

But what happened? While returning, the vehicle fell from the bridge of the Dhawaleswaram Barrage into Godavari River, and 21 people perished. Only one boy survived.

Question प्रश्न ప్రశ్న: Is God pray-able? Is God worship-able? Is God feed-able? Is God wash-able and bath-able? Does God receive communications? Does God respond to such communications? Which language does God speak, or understand?  Does God have sex?  Why does n't God in some religions is called "He", "Father", and yet He does not have a wife, and the humans who are his sons, do not have a Mother?

Answer जवाब జవాబు: No proof of God's pray-ability. No proof of God's worship-ability. No proof of God's feed-ability. No proof of God's wash-ability and bath-ability. No proof of God's receiving communications. No proof of God's responding to communications.

Gods cannot hear or speak languages. Of course, preachers will, always say that God is omniscient and knows all languages. But the same preachers run the prayer houses, and most prayers are made in Latin, Arabic-Persian, and Sanskrit. Preachers seem to believe and propagate that God listens better and more, if prayed in Arabic or Latin or Sanskrit, and for that purpose, priests are engaged, paying hefty amounts.

Question प्रश्न ప్రశ్న:   What is the purpose of this blog post?

Answer जवाब జవాబు:   I felt that there is a need to clarify into our approaches and thinking. Atheism seems to concentrate more on proving and spreading the fact that there is no God. Suggested clarified approach: Although a God(dess) in the meaning of a superhuman force may exist (or may not exist), he-she does not exist in the meaning of a receiver of human feedings, kneelings, prayers, prostrations, salutes, and worships. It will be futile to pray/worship any force of Nature, Universe calling them as God(dess), whether using idols as tools, or without using tools, turning to a pulpit or a wall.

Question प्रश्न ప్రశ్న Can we apply this to sUrya namaskArs also?

Definitely. Sun is a very huge gaseous sphere. We may get energy, light from that gaseous body. Our survival itself, may depend on the sunlight and sun's rays, umpteen things like photo-synthesis. Yet we cannot call a gaseous average sized body in the cosmos, as God, personifying it. There is no need or question of prostrating before the gaseous star, imagining it to be a God by name "Sun".

As a form of physical exercise, sUrya namaskArs may be good. But the name sUrya namaskArs becomes irrational, whether such physical exercises are performed facing the Sun, or indoors.

However, to perform Surya namaskars simply as physical exercise or physical exercise + prayer to personified Sun God, can be left to individuals.  Better, if the State does not make it a controversial topic, by trying to impose it.    Nobody forces people to buy cell phones or download porn videos.   Yet millions of Indians and millions of people of the world do it, quite voluntarily, because they get some pleasure in it.  If they can find same kind of joy in doing Surya Namaskar's, it will be well and good.

Conclusion:  People's' Choices between Surya Namaskars and mobile porn essentially depend on hitam (what is good and secure for them) and priyam (what is liked by them- whether good or not).
