934 What Vladimin Lenin had done, or had not done to erstwhile USSR is worth analysing!

What Vladimir Lenin, the Legendary Leader of the Communist Revolution (Bolshevik Revolution 1917), had done / had not done, for the erstwhile Soviet Union are worth analysing , without Capitalist or Communist bias, and worth reading for those who have a view that this Capitalist World is really abominable, and is to be trashed, if some viable humane alternative socio-economic system can be found and implemented without bloodshed and tyrannical oppressions. In a few blog posts of mine, made here earlier, I have made one such beginning. Today's trigger: Click here to go to https://www.spectator.co.uk/2017/03/how-lenin-manipulated-the-russian-revolution-to-his-own-ends/#, to study some critical analyses on the subject. More are to come from this donkey also. This link contains an article titled "How Lenin manipulated the Russian Revolution to his own ends' by Roland Elliott Brown, which is readable. The writer Mr. Brown says "He even viewed the starvation of countless peasants as a ‘progressive element’ in weakening the Tsar, says Victor Sebestyen (a review of book authored by Sebestyen, says)".

This article starts with viewing Lenin as a 'demagogue'. Meaning, as per Google Inquiry: "...a political leader who seeks support by appealing to popular desires and prejudices rather than by using rational argument. ...".

ybrao-a-donkey's views which are not intended to be imposed on others:

Even Capitalism, MNCs, the American Government (not necessarily the Trump's Administeration, we can even say 'starting with George Washington'), the Euro Governments do the same thing, i.e. they try to appeal to popular desires and prejudices rather than by use rational argument. The only difference is Marketing does not concentrate much on "satisfying popular wants (My Economics Text book in my XI Standard School days, started with 'human wants', 'necessities, comforts, and luxuries' and progressed into Consumer Behaviors)", but on the 'luxuries of those who have the moolah to purchase'. Had there not been a system called 'Voting Parliaments/Assemblies' every four or five years, the Governments would not have even bothered about popular desires and / or prejudices. Anyway that is a term affair of 4/5/10 years affair. In their daily routine, Capitalist Governments want to 'maximise their income', like the proverbial monopolyist's equilibrium in the Smithsonian Economics or the Classical Economics.

Principal Object of Modern Governments i.e. their raison d'être/ˌreɪzɒ̃ ˈdɛtrə,French ʀɛzɔ̃ dɛtʀ/ -the most important reason or purpose for someone or something's existence.

The need and greed of any Government worth its salt in this World will be to maximise its tax collections, and the Governments will not mind to pay millions to those Experts and Consultants who can invent new ways to introduce new taxes, bring in newer groups of citizens into the tax net, how to raise tax rates without making the Citizens to feel that their blood is being sucked.

What is Smithsonian Economics?

For those Readers who are interested in studying the features of Smithsonian Economics, here is one link to download a pdf: Click here to download a pdf of Reflections on Smithsonian Economics.

LENIN'S AND STALIN'S ADMINISTRATIONS CANNOT BE EXCEPTIONS

Lenin's and Stalin's Administrations cannot be exceptions because RUNNING ADMINISTRATIVE STRUCTURES WITH ALL THEIR concomitant Fads, Idiosyncrasies, Mansions, Cars, Paraphernalia, Regalia, Statues and what not, need investments and maintenance. Huge Police Hierarchies are needed to save the Top Gods Ruling the Administration, whether in Capitalist Countries or in (untruly) Socialist Countries.

917 Lenin Stalin Relations- A look from Vol. 45 of Lenin's Collected Works

I know that these particular posts of mine which relate to Communism / Marxism will not be read by anybody / or read by a very few people in this unipolar world, yet I cannot resist writing about these, in spite of knowing pretty well that this 21c. world considers Communism and Marxism as outdated theories, and in India RSS (Rashtria Swayam Sevak Sangh--a cultural organisation, according to themselves) loathes Communists. One can always say that Lenin and Stalin were dead long back, and are a part of a history, with only archaeological / or museum value. But, yet, the fact remains that as long as POVERTY CONTINUES TO HAUNT THE PEOPLES OF THE WORLD, the search for an alternative Socio-Economic Theory will have to continue. If Communism / Total Socialism (not fabian-gradualist variety) / Marxism is fraught with grave evils of loss of individual freedoms, initiatives, creativities, then something else must be explored. Till such a time, the third alternative is found out and successfully tried, Leftism will remain as a desirable objective to the monstrous Capitalism.

Why a study of Lenin-Stalin Relations, is important? Telugu language:

Ans: While Late Karl Marx dreamt of an ideal World of Equalities, Lenin is to be given credit for trying to introduce Marxian Theories, into the practical arena. In the process, there might have been some teething troubles. There might have taken place some grave errors, causing misery to millions of people. It is necessary to study all / or at least a bulk, of such omissions / commissions / shortcomings, as a sine qua non for a successful retrial or re-experimentation with the CMS (Communism, Marxism, Socialism) Theories, so as to avoid miseries to masses, misuse of authority-and-power by unscrupulous persons, and make CMS acceptable not only to majority, but at least to 99% of the people. Even in CMS, dissent can never be oppressed / suppressed, even if such dissent is only from a 1%. The deciding factor will have to be, whether what the 1% says has any sound reasoning and desirability in what they say. Though absolutely 100% peaceful introduction of change is not possible, as all the people cannot be satisfied at all times, yet we cannot have some barbaric or savageous justice. We cannot replace a cruel system like Capitalism, with another system say Marxism, through equally cruel methods. Methods are, and ought to be as important as the goals.

The Euro-American world views Joseph Stalin as a despicable tyrant, though may not be on par with Adolph Hitler. But, Stalin was used by the same Euro-American World, as a co-warrior against Nazis and Hitler in World War 2. Euro-American World has the audacity of using and condemning anybody at its whims and fancies.

Prima facie, one gets an impression that during the life of Lenin, his words and orders seem to have prevailed, while Trotsky seemed to be Lenin's favorite, and Stalin wanted to be Lenin's successors. Hence, we may need to study Lenin-Stalin relations, and about the contributions made by Stalin, during the reign of Lenin, and also examine whether / why Stalin deviated from the path of Lenin.

The following letter from vol5 of Collected Works of Lenin, was written on 5th March 1923. Lenin addressed this letter to Stalin, marked it PERSONAL, TOP SECRET, PERSONAL, and endorsed copies to Comrades Kamenev and Zinoviev. This endorsement might have become necessary, because they had already come to know about Stalin's rude talk. Lenin started this letter with "Dear Comrade Stalin", and closed it with " Respectfully yours, ". That means, Lenin was very cordial and courteous, even when he had to handle some subject which is somewhat unpleasant.

Dear Comrade Stalin:

You have been so rude as to summon my wife to the telephone and use bad language. Although she had told you that she was prepared to forget this, the fact nevertheless became known through her to Zinoviev and Kamenev. I have no intention of forgetting so easily what has been done against me, and it goes without saying that what has been done against my wife I consider having been done against me as well. I ask you, therefore, to think it over whether you are prepared to withdraw what you have said and to make your apologies, or whether you prefer that relations between us should be broken off.

Respectfully Yours,

ybdonkey's views not intended to be imposed on others

Lenin passed away on 21st Jan. 1924., i.e. approx. nine months after writing this letter. It is not clear whether the relations between Lenin and Stalin had improved during the intervening period of 5-3-1923 and 21-1-1924, either on personal sphere, or on political sphere. Political sphere is more important. We have to explore.

916 (1 of 100 series). A look at V.I. Lenin, the first person who tried to implement his own brand of Marxism/Communism

We see in the so called democratic politicians professing liberalism, a trait of arrogance, and a sort of self-righteousness, which makes them to be rude when dealing with people and persons. When the recipients of such rudeness or hurtful conversations, later seek corrections / explanations from the speakers, they refuse to withdraw their remarks. They even try to pass on the buck to Media, saying that Media has twisted what they said. Or the politicians blatantly deny what they have said amidst media glare, and even when audio/ video clippings are available. Lenin, the mass leader of the 1917 Russia, who led Bolshevik Revolution there, seems to be somewhat an exception. Lenin might have been a dictator. May be under his tyrannical directions his cronies might have sent dissenters to Labor Camps, or killed them. But, this paragraph from his letter dated 16th June 1921 addressed to his Comrades Koenen, Thalheimer, Fröhlich prima facie shows that he did not hesitate to apologise to the concerned persons or withdraw his words..

Source: Vol. 45, of V.I. Lenin's Collected Works. Vol. 45 deals with his letters, to various persons during the period 1921-1923.

To WILHELM KOENEN, AUGUST THALHEIMER AND PAUL FRÖHLICH

Dear Comrades!

I have received a copy of your letter to our Party’s Central Committee. Thank you very much. I communicated my answer orally yesterday. I take this opportunity to emphasise that I do most resolutely withdraw the rude and impolite expressions I used, and hereby repeat my oral apology in writing.

With communist greetings,
Lenin

yb-donkey's personal views which are not intended to be imposed on others

I am not a worshipper or an irrational critic of Lenin.
This is only an exploratory and truth-seeking blog post. And, this is the first of a series of many, to follow. When new evidence(s) are found, I may change what I have written here. Hence, pl. forbear with me if there are any temporary errors/transgressions / unsound illogical deductions from Lenin's letters .

911 Why Lenin and Stalin were callous to the Famines in U.S.S.R., during their Reigns?

Lenin is regarded as the Greatest and the First Leader who had tried to implement the ideas of Marxism / Communism / Socialism, in a very large country of Continental Size like Russia (erstwhile Soviet Union- U.S.S.R. stretching from Riga to Vladivostoc). Stalin, is also regarded very highly in India, in spite of his dictatorial tendencies. Many parents in India, named their children as Stalin. For example, the name of the Leader of Opposition in Tamil Nadu Assembly, India, is 'Stalin'. What stuns me very much is, a study of the History of the Soviet Union of 1917-53, gives me an impression that both Lenin and Stalin were apparently callous to famines, and food shortages in Russia, and millions of people died during their Rule. The same was the position in the so called Communist Ruled 1959 China, of the Mao ze Dong fame. It is strange that in India, there are groups which advocate violent Revolutions and Upheavals in the name of "Maoism", and they call themselves 'Maoists'. Were all those famines, just exaggerations of bourgeoisie media propaganda machinery of Europe and America? It can't be 100%, though some exaggerations might have taken place.

To continue adding / deleting / modifying. This issue of the Failure of Communist Regimes in Russia and China, is a 10,000 page subject.

896 (Part 1 of 10 series) Trump wants to rule the world with the help of Putin, May, Hollande and Angela Merkel ! Will that work?

It appears that Mr. Donald Trump wants to rule the world, with the help of the Russian Dictator Putin, British PM Ms. Theresa May, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and President of France Mr. Francois Hollande. Had it been before 1991, this conspiracy might not have worked , because the erstwhile U.S.S.R., used to be a sort of a bullwark against American Adventurism, with the help of its Nato Allies. Now, Mr. Putin, the Ruler of Russia seems to be too eager to be an ally of Mr. Trump (not Mr. Barack Obama), for reasons known only to Mr. Putin. U.K. has been, for a long time since its losing its global colonies, operating as a tail for the yankee-land.

Ms. Theresa May, the 2017 Prime Minister of (Great!) Britain is continuing the tradition. This is very clear, when Ms. Theresa May, while going on her visit to U.S.A., to meet Mr. Donald Trump, the President of the United States, is reported to have said as under. Click here to go to http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/01/25/theresa-may-america-britain-will-lead-together-brexit-election/ to see the news report.

"...So as we rediscover our confidence together, as you renew your nation just as we renew ours, we have the opportunity – indeed the responsibility – to renew the special relationship for this new age. We have the opportunity to lead, together, again. ..."

"...developing a stronger special relationship is “important not only to Britain and America but to the world ..."

"... The United Kingdom is by instinct and history a great, global nation that recognises its responsibilities to the world ..."

There were days when Britain was really Great (with its gun powder, gun power, and its crooked military tactics), having its empire, in which Sun does not set (Sun shining brightly somewhere or other in the Empire).

On 5th Sept. 2013, Russian official spokesman for Mr. Putin, Dmitry Peskov, was reported to have said: Click here to go to http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/russia/10290243/Russia-mocks-Britain-the-little-island.html, and study how Russia viewed Britain as a small island .
"... Britain is just a small island … no one pays any attention to them ..."

yb-a-donkey's views and perceptions which are not intended to be imposed on others:e

Considering the strained relations which U.K. is, of late, experiencing in the context of BREXIT, particularly with France and Germany, Ms. Theresa May may be expecting that Mr. Trump will accept Britain as the "dearest" European country, to American heart, in comparison to countries like France and Germany. But Mr. Trump seems to have some other perceptions, and he seems to want to carry along with him, not only Britain, but also France, Germany, and above all Russia.

PROOF

Whitehouse spokesman Mr. Scene Spicer, is said to have remarked in Twitter, on 27th Jan. 2017:--
"...Getting the most out of the first full week --tomorrow @POTUS will speak by phone with leaders of France, Germany and Russia."

Of course, analysers can always say that a newly elected President having telephone talks with world leaders of countries which have strong relations with U.S. is only a formality, to which no special significance can be attached. Analysers can always say that Mr. Trump's talking over telephone to the other Three European countries, does not effectively mean that those three countries and U.K. are equal in American eyes.

COUNTRIES, GOVERNMENTS AND NATIONS ARE BECOMING BUSINESS ENTITIES

According to my perception, it may be wrong, countries, Governments and Nations are becoming more and more a sort of BUSINESS ENTITIES working for profit. It will be onething, if such BUSINESS ENTITIES work for a common National Goal. Mr. Trump seems to believe that he represents only Euro-American Whites residing in United States. Even during the days of George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, this idea existed, as the American Leaders of those days too acted like Feudal landlords (Southern States) or Traders (be they Slave Traders, or traders in goods imported from Europe), ignoring that American Indians existed as the traditional natives of United States.

When Governments become Business Entities looking for profit and surplus, in every activity of theirs, its citizens will only become chicken in cages, waiting their slaughter. Heads of Government, Heads of State will become marketing persons on behalf of their Multi National Companies to sell aircraft, ammunition, and weapons. See this Indian Express.com report: Click here to go to http://indianexpress.com/article/india/india-news-india/india-tries-to-hasten-deal-with-us-to-buy-drone-aircraft-for-military-surveillance-amid-election-uncertainty-3066078/ and study

The United States has dislodged Russia as the top arms supplier to India. New Delhi is also on the cusp of sealing a US nuclear reactor deal worth billions of dollars.

In return, Washington has given New Delhi access to high-end military technology, such as a new system to launch planes off aircraft carriers, and leaned on other countries to give India membership in the Missile Technology Control Regime, which cleared the way for the sale of the unarmed Predator.

French Prsident, British Prime Minister, also act as representatives of their Multinational Companies to sell their arms and aircraft products. Germany is not much of an aircraft/weapon seller, but its leaders also market products like Volkswagon automobiles etc. We have to see how Mr. Trump is going to unite and compete with his European Rivals.

863 Part 2/out of 10 series We need not celebrate OR mourn the Bolshevik Revolution. We have to analyse.

This is in continuation of our blog post No. 861 Click to go to 862.. Recapitulating: We found renowned Indian author Mr. Mohan Guruswamy, referring to his two visits to Vladivostok and Moscow, just before the disintegration of the erstwhile U.S.S.R. I have given a DeccanChronicle.com link for his article. He seems to have successfully forecast the crumbling of Soviet Union, and tried to convince the Indian Government about it. (Anyway, it is an internal affair of the U.S.S.R., and its constituent Republics, and India might not have had anything to do it,) even if the Government of India were to take the prediction of Mr. Mohan Guruswamy as ominous foreboding. Then we saw another link, to Spectator.co.uk., containing an article by Mr. Max Hasting, titled "The centenary of the Russian revolution should be mourned, not celebrated".

(ybrao-a-donkey's views): Though erstwhile U.S.S.R. might have deviated from the basic tenets of Communism / Marxism / Socialism, during its 74 years of existence, we cannot forget that U.S.S.R. had made some efforts to usher in to bring about some sort of equality, among its citizens. This is notwithstanding the probable fact that top leaders walowed in great comforts and luxuries, leaving the common people to undue hardships, a la their counterparts i.e. the top leaders of the Capitalist countries.

In post NO.552 Click to go to post No. 552, we found that Bolsheviks used Churches as World War II mortuary, and later as potato warehouse.

"...It was built at the spot where Tsar Alexander II, the man who sold Alaska to the United States, was mortally wounded in a grenade attack in 1881. The interior of the church is a virtual museum of mosaics with intricately wrought biblical themes. Closed down by the Bolsheviks for decades, the church was used as a mortuary during World War II and later as a warehouse for potatoes. Today it is more of a showpiece than a place of worship. ..."

We shall, now be back, to inadequate food, and housing in Russia, referred to by Shri Mohan Guruswamy. Here, we shall have to good links, so as to have a look into the community common living consisting of small individual apartments + common rooms towards kitchen, washing machines, toilets. What Shri Mohan Guruswamy discussed was the position of 1991, the year of Soviet Decomposition. We shall now see, links of 2015 and 2016.

2016: Click here to go to http://www.deccanchronicle.com/world/europe/020516/you-re-never-alone-russia-celebrates-its-soviet-era-communal-flats.html . The title of the article is "'You're never alone': Russia celebrates its Soviet era communal flats". The article starts with : "A communal flat or ‘kommunalka’ is a small dwelling shared by dozen or more residents." Date: 2nd May 2016. Probably, this might have been published as a sequel to the 2016 May Day, held on 1st May 2016.

Through further googling, I found the following link. click to go to http://holeinthedonut.com/2015/01/17/kommunalka-living-st-petersburg-russia. The title of the article is: 'Kommunalka Living in St. Petersburg, Russia – Throwback to an Earlier Era'. Date: January 17, 2015. This article is by Barbara Weibel. This article is lengthier than the DC article. It has a number of photos. This article has 19 comments. Most of the comments have expressed a surprise, that this type of 'living holes' still exist.

At the 'holeinthedonut.com' website, we can find a profile of Ms. Barbara Weibel. The site holeinthedonut.com is owned by Ms. Barbara Weibel. She is a TravelWriter. The 'About' page of the holeinthedonut website is quite informative. According to Click to go to study a profile of Ms. Baraba Weibel, Ms. Weibel's 'about' page is worth studying, from the point of view of 'Capitalism vs. Socialism' and probably integral part 'Individualism vs. Socialism'.

Here is a sample form the 'About' page of holeinthedonut of Ms. Barbara Weibel:

"... My name is Barbara Weibel and I’m the owner/editor of Hole in the Donut Cultural Travel. I’ve always envied people who love their jobs. Unlike those lucky souls, my various careers over the years (marketing, advertising, selling real estate, working in a retail store, owning a public relations firm, and selling snow cones in the largest water park in Puerto Rico, among others) were just means to an end – a way to earn money and have a comfortable lifestyle. I never loved what I did and I can’t really say I was ever really happy, but I plodded on because I was raised to be dependable, to always give 110%, and to work hard in order to be able to enjoy a comfortable retirement. All of which meant going to work every day, regardless of how much I despised my job. ..."

LIP SERVICE

What we fail to recognise is, Capitalism pays only a 'lip service' to individualism. In the eyes of Capitalism, an 'individual' does not exist. For Capitalism, all individuals are soul-less robots. For the Capitalism, all are ORGANISMS are (includes not only human laborers, but also, working animals like horses, oxen, camels, elephants, kites and vultures(!!!), sledge dogs, hunter dogs, cattle in the abattoirs, pigs, hens and ducks, etc.) all are just objects of business, and factors of production. If those organisms have to survive on this Earth, they must contribute some surplus / profit to the Enterprise Managers and Corporate Monsters. "Freedom of individual", which bourgeoisie economists profess and canvass, exists only in imagination. "Freedom of individual" is used as a stick to beat Socialism with stick, because individuals want a space of their own. Given a chance, it is true, that individuals do not want to share NOT ONLY THAT SPACE WHICH IS REQUIRED FOR THEIR SURVIVAL, BUT ALSO THE SPACE WHICH OTHERS NEED, BESIDE THEM. But, in reality, we have unlimited SPACE only in the sky, above ATMOSPHERE. On this earth, we do not have such unlimited spaces.

SHARING BECOMES INEVITABLE, WHEN RESOURCES SCARCE

Prima facie, it appears to me that Socialism will not impose, or aim to thrust, SHARING on individuals. Let us take Housing. In Capitalism, every individual has to build or buy his-her own home, using lucre made through beg-borrow-steal-rob-cheat-connive. If they are incapable of doing it, then they have to live in huts, or under flyovers, or in subways, or in parked vehicles outside the city. In Capitalist democracies, though Governments promise houses to poor, and allocate a few millions for building houses to poor in annual budgets, most of all such manoeuvres are token-ist to win some elections. There is no genuine intent.

In True Complete Socialism, though it may appear to be a fantasy, the expectation is that a Socialist State will strive to provide at least a sort of 'vanilla' shelters for all, free of cost, for life. Of course, inheritance should not be expected. In fact, it may be prudent for the Socialist State, to rotate housing quarters given free to its Citizens every three years or five years, so that they do not develop attachments and temptations (In Indian philosophy, this is called 'sangams' and 'mohams'). Indian philosophical thinking calls houses, moneys, wives, offsprings, vehicles etc. all as 'debts', and the relationships between the possessors and the objects as the relationship of debtor and creditor. The objects exist as long as the debt exists, and they go away, once the debt gets satisfied. Here is a relevant Sanskrit verse:

riNAnubandha rUpENA
paSu patni suta Alayaha
tad anubandham
pra Samam yAnti
kA tatra parivEdanA !

English gist: Cattle (paSu), patni (wife), suta (sons, daughters), Alaya (houses) are all 'rINAs' (debts). anu = favorable. bandham = band (Indo-European word). rUpENa = in the form of.

tat=that (Indo-European language). praSamam = gets pacified (probably Indo-European origin). yAnti = goes. kA=why, where. tatra = there. pari= a lot, substantial. vEdana = pain.

This ephemeral relationship between 'things' and an 'individual' is to be understood.
.

Another concept which is relevant is: 'jagat' (=this world). ja=What is born, what takes birth.(probably Indo-European language). ga=go (Indo-European). Jagat is something which comes and goes. It does not stay here. It is not 'eternal'. What is 'eternal', becomes 'sat or satyam' i.e. 'truth'.

Film Star and Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu State in INdia, who passed away recently, apparently did not realise this ephemeral-ity. Consequently, she seems to have acquired huge wealth disproportionate to the known sources of her income. A case is pending against her in Supreme Court of India. Her dwelling is Poes Gardens in Chennai. She is reported to have recommended a SanD Mafia don for appointment to the richest Temple in India, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Trust Board. She having gone to heaven/hell/nowhere, INTESTATE, those who remain on this earth are fighting for inheriting her wealth, and political mantel.

Similar is the case with Late Shri Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh, who died in a plane crash in 2009. People believe that he accumulated a trillion Rupees (about $15 billion) through quid pro quo methods for his son, along with a palace called 'Lotus Pond'. His having gone to heaven/hell/nowhere, cases are pending in Indian courts.

So, the INDIVIDUALISTS need not shiver at the very idea of sharing some 'common space' for kitchens, washing machines, toilets, while they get small rooms as their personal space for beds, etc. What appears to me in the USSR effort of Kommunalka seems to be to provide some personal space + some shared space, to every individual citizen. I do not know whether there was NEAR-EQUALITY in allocating the living quarters, in the Soviet dispensations. It is always possible that good quarters are allocated to cronies, and dilapidated spaces are imposed on dumb citizens.

To my Indian eyes, the Kommunalka Apartments appeared quite decent. For us, we the Indians, we have Dharavi slum in Mumbai. All of our cities, both Metros, and the smaller cities have slums, in which people live in pitiable squalor. Besides, we have some millions of people living under trees, foot paths, cement pipes lying on road margins and in the adjacent fields.

830 New Java 8 TextRecordEditor with Vol. 1 of Collected Works of Lenin as sample.

I am not sure, how many people of this 21st Century, 2016, know about or heard about or studied about Lenin. Reasons: Bourgeoise Governments, B.Universities, B.Colleges, B.B.Schools (Bourgeoise Business Schools) hate Lenin. I am not a great lover of October Revolution of Russia, which took place in 1917. It has its own benefits, merits, pitfalls and shortcomings. This is the 100th year of the October Revolution. The U.S.S.R. (Union of Soviet Social Republics) might have vanished into the curtains of history, may be owing to the inherent deficiencies of the Communist / Marxist / Socialist philosophies. Or may be owing to the dictatorial, totalitarian, tyrannical manners in which Lenin himself / or his followers might have on their volition, or by the quirk or the force of circumstances, had drifted from the basic objective of the Proletarianism. The Collected Works of Lenin, English version are available on Net freely, to download which I have already given a link. For the benefit of those readers, who might not have glanced it, I repeat the link: Click to go to Marxists.org, for downloading Complete Works of Lenin.

yb-donkey: I am studying / trying to study the 45 Volumes of the Complete Works of Lenin. I am not sure about the tangible benefits which are likely to accrue to me, or to the world when I try to publish my findings to the world. This is somewhat a gray area.

ON THE OCCASION OF THE OCTOBER REVOLUTION FOR THE BENEFIT OF STUDENTS OF JAVA 8

In some of my previous posts I have given Java 8 code, and also download links for a Text-Record-Editor designed by me.

I have designed a revised version. Improvements: 1. Added Menu Bars and Menu Items. 2. Added Tool Bar, with small icons. Rectified some bugs also. But there are still many.

Lenin1.txt file, which is free to you, has about 550 pages. The file is very tough to study / edit, owing to archaic language of early 20th Century, and the problems involved in translating from Russian to English. It is not even suitable for casual reading. But, where there is a WILL, there will be a WAY. The subject itself will look dry to netizens, most of whom are well-to-do persons, not having any acquaintance with problems of farmers or proletariat.

A Screenshot of the Editor after making a search, pressing Search-Single Button can be seen above. At the top is a menu bar with menu-items which appears when mouse is moved at the top. On the left side are the tool bars with icons. At the bottom are 2 labels, 3 text boxes, and 12 buttons for 1) get record 2) next record 3) previous record 4) Update button, to update after making corrections, 5) Search single item 6) Add to add new records at the end of the Text file 7) Delete Button to delete a record 8) Search continue. If there are more than one results, after perusing the first result got by pressing the Search single button, if this button is pressed to view one by one, all the search results.

Apart from Lenin1.txt file which represents the Vol. 1 of his Collected Works, there is a short medicdicti.txt. Other text files can also be edited, by copying that particular textfile in the ayyotextedit folder (or the folder where all the ayyotextedit classes, icons, text files are stored.

DOWNLOAD THE ZIP FILE CONSISTING OF .JAVA, .CLASS, SUB-CLASSES, ICONS (JPG) FILES, README, LENIN1.TXT FILE, MINI MEDICDICTI.TXT FILE,

etc. Zip file size is approx. 4.5 mb.
Download link: To download from ayyox10.mx, a free-host for our sub-domain.. After downloading, the Zip file is to be unzipped. After unzipping, you will get a folder calld 'ayyotextedit'. In that folder you will find all the files. Though I am giving the java source code .java file, there will be no need for readers to compile it using it javac. It will be useful to them, if they want to alter the code, and recompile.

Java command is to be invoked from Dos Prompt/ or Command-line in linux. From the dos prompt/command line, readers have to use cd command and go to the folder where the ayyotextedit class files are located.

e.g. : cd D:\.....\ayyotextedit.
Then type java ayyotextedit and press Enter.

788 Ms. Theresa May is likely to be harder/harsher than Ms. Margaret Thatcher

Ms. Theresa May, is the new Prime Minister of United Kingdom. Welcome. While no generalisations or pre-judgements can be made, there is a somewhat hackneyed maxim, which seems to be sometimes valid: "First Impression, is the, Best Impression". But, even first impressions can many times deceive. For that we have the maxims "APPEARANCES CAN BE DECEPTIVE. ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD". In my mother tongue Telugu, we have another maxim: "tellani vanni pAlu, nallani vanni nILLU kAvu." Approx. English Gist: All those which appear white in color, may not be milk. All those which appear black in color, need not be water". This proverb was of those days, when there were no synthetic milks or chemical milks. The proverb "FACE IS THE INDEX OF MIND" may also not reflect, a person's true personality.
A PRIMA FACIE, FORECAST OF HOW MS. THERESA MAY'S ROLE OR RULE IS GOING TO BE

She is likely to try to repeat what Ms. Margaret Thatcher (A Legendary British Prime Minister, in the Second Half of the 20th Century, who left lasting impressions on the British psyche), had tried to plan and execute.

Brainquote.com has some of her quotes, which might have accumulated during her six year tenure as Home Secretary of Britain. Link for those who wish to study them: Click to go to http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/t/theresa_may.html

The very first quote at the above link, does not give much hope:--

"... I'd personally like to see the Human Rights Act go because I think we have had some problems with it. ..."

ybrao-a-donkey:- What problems she might have had with the British Human Rights Act, during her last six years as Home Secretary, need deeper study. Besides, what political leaders say, about anything need not be taken on their face value. They are intended for hoi polloi. Not for the consumption of leaders themselves.

Human Rights History or Record of Britain, was it ever clean? Only historians can tell. Even today, Britain has neither allowed freedom to all its colonial left over islands and territories, nor has it forgotten its ill-gotten colonial glories. Even Queen Elizabeth I seems to have encouraged British and European Pirates. Nor was she averse to slave trade. If everything was so pink and purple, why should there have been a struggle for American Independence culminating in its independence in 1776?

BRITAIN'S NEED FOR MORE FOREIGN IMMIGRANTS, BRINGING STASHED MOOLA INTO THE COUNTRY

Everybody knows that British Industries and Exports are stagnating. New scientific inventions which can be converted into EXPORTABLE COMMERCE are not taking place in Britain. They wanted Asian Immigrants into Britain, as domestic servants, cooks, hoteliers, menials. The British Masters enjoyed the low-paid slave-like services of the immigrants for decades. Then the immigrants became British Citizens, got their voting rights, and they have started influencing the vote-politics. Now, intolerance has begun.

While joining EU earlier, British rulers might have expected that their exports will grow multifold. But it did not happen. They found that both white Immigrants from Continental Europe, and the non-white immigrants from Asia and Africa were pouring through the tunnel Railway between France and England. Besides, Britain throughout its Colonial History was accustomed to giving orders from London. After its entry into EU, it had to taste the ignominy of receiving orders from the EU bosses and policy-makers from Bruxelles. It could not digest the very idea of becoming one of 35 odd countries of Europe, on par with Turkey or Romania. Britain wanted to control the world, as a joint-puppeteer of the United States. It could never reconcile to the idea of accepting the precepts of French and German Rulers. All this, culminated in the "yes" for Brexit Referendum.

If Britain, through its BREXIT wants to escape from the pangs of entertaining migrants, sharing spoils of International Commerce with EU Nations, nobody will stop it. Ms. Theresa May will have great responsibilities, strategies, and tasks to carry out, to steer Britain, out of its post-colonial mess. It is not going to be easy, for her, though she appears to be pragmatic and steel like her pioneer PM, Ms. Margaret Thatcher. This is because, quantitatively and qualitatively, the rot of Britain of 1980s was LESS, when compared to the BRIT ROT 2016. In 1980s Britain was not at the mercies of the wolves of Central-London Real Estate Speculators.

Will Ms. Theresa May open more Tax Havens like the Cave Man's Islands, British Virgin Islands? Will she invite and give shelter more economic offenders from non-Europe?

(to continue).

Mr. Narendra Modi has completed his 2016 July tour of the African countries. Whatever may be his goals in taking up the tour of African countries, I greatly appreciate his gesture. I do not know India's long term goals in Africa. Though as an Indian, I am not expected to write it so openly, yet I am taking some liberties. Mr. Narendra Modi seems to be competing with his Chinese counterparts, in wooing the African Nations. May be, he is expecting some support from African Nations in UNO General Assembly, when it reintensifies its efforts to get a permanent membership of Security Council with Veto.

What causes me some anxiety?

Though India boasts of comfortable foreign exchange reserves position, accumulated from inward foreign investments, and deposits from Non-Resident Indians, and PIOs (Persons of Indian Origin), in my humble personal view they are all volatile. In the context of some Brexit, or some other seemingly irksome International Market Crises, the Reserves may stand as some sort of barricade. But, when a real crisis comes, the Reserves may not last beyond one year. Hence, what is the use of offering loans, grants and donations from the too-thin-a-self-defensive-tool?

Offering loans and grants, may not really buy true friendships and loyalties. True friendships and loyalties are never exchanged for money. They are to be built over some decades, with mutual care and understanding of the problems of one another, forgetting racial backgrounds, religious backgrounds, etc. The only common facilitative factor will be the POVERTY OF INDIA AND THE AFRICAN COUNTRIES. India cannot afford to pretend to be a rich country, which is going to reach the Zenith of this Global Economic World.

India cannot absolve itself from its primary responsibility of promoting its exports, particularly VISIBLE EXPORTS, and HALVING its VISIBLE IMPORTS. Controlling India's population explosion ought to have been unquestionable the No. 1 Task, because a population under control can yield EXPORTABLE SURPLUSES and MITIGATE DOMESTIC SHORTAGES.

We know that African countries do not have the hard currencies like US Dollars, Euros to buy INdian goods. The aid, grants, loans offered by India helps the poor African countries to buy Indian goods, provided the rulers of those countries do not misuse them. If they misappropriate the funds, everything becomes "bUDidalO pOsina pannIru" (English: Floral perfume poured into ash). The timely Indian loans will work like a 'balm' or a 'pain killer', but lending per se, is not a real long term solution. The real solution is India should sit with every African country separately for several months, and work out lists of goods and services which can be bartered between India and Africa. For promoting India-African countries Counter-Trade, we can think of an Indo-African Counter-Trade Settlement and Clearing Bank.

(To continue, some other day).

Mr. Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, Chief Minister of Residual Andhra Pradesh State, India, visited Russia, to mobilise foreign investments, and seek assistance for building the new Capital for the State of Andhra Pradesh, at Amaravathi-Vijayavada-Guntur. Of course, the Commerce Minister Ms. Nirmal Sitaraman, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Devendra Fadnavis were also present, at the inaugural ceremony of an International Industrial Exhibition named "INNOPROM- 2016" held in Russia. He seems to have invited Mr. Medvedev, the Russian Prime Minister, to visit Amaravati. The invitation seems to have been accepted by Mr. Medvedev. So far, so good.

I greatly appreciate the never-say-die spirit of Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu. Like a bee which collects nectar from a zillion flowers from thousands of trees, Mr. Naidu is visiting all the countries of the world with a focussed zeal.

But the problem is, the people of Residual Andhra Pradesh, though were poor in the past, are poor now, they were never beggars. Mr. Naidu, by his persistent and vehement begging all the 190+ countries of the world for investments and assistance to build capital, is making the People of Residual Andhra Pradesh a laughing stock. The people of Residual Andhra Pradesh were already irreparably hurt by both the top National Parties - the BJP and the Congress, who have quite unilaterally bifurcated the United Andhra Pradesh State in a cruel manner, closing the doors of Lok Sabha (Lower House of Indian Parliament), and making false impractical assurances in Rajya Sabha (Upper House of Parliament) without the Members of the House reading the contents of the Bill in depth. People of A.P. have not forgotten these insults. Now, these begging sessions and tours, by Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu all over the World, is adding more insults to the injuries of the People of A.P. The true feelings of the people of A.P., Mr. Naidu may not know, because he is surrounded by psychofants. Before being defeated by Late Mr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy in 2004 A.P. Assembly Elections too, Mr. Naidu committed this type of mistakes, during his nine years tenure.

Mr. Naidu is neglecting the grassroots, while spending all his time abroad. When Residual A.P. State was formed in 2014, he could have immediately got a Cabinet Resolution passed for construction of Temporary Secretariat Building and a set of associate buildings for HODs at any place in the State. As it was only temporary, and nobody would have objected to it. To the same complex, he could have added construction of quarters for Officers and employees. Had he done this two years back, he could have saved millions of Rupees paid as rent for location of HODs in Vijayawada. Now, the State Govt. is paying Rs.30 per sq.ft rent per month for HOD buildings in Vijayawada. The State Govt. has also issued an order to arrange accommodation for residences of I.A.S. / I.P.S. Officers at rents as high as Rs. 40,000 per month! All this wasteful squandering of public funds could have been avoided, had Mr. Naidu acted with foresight. There is no alternative except to deduce that the real reason for the procrastination and undue haste-chase in shifting from Hyderabad to Vijayawada seems to be only Mr. KCR's threat to arrest Mr. Naidu in Hyderabad.

Who asked Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu for World Class Capitals? Did he conduct any Referendum? People want food, clothing to protect bodies from hot and cold climates, a dwelling to keep one's head under some roof, a little of education and health care, a little of old age security. None of these can be got by World Class Capital ! Above all, people want Peace of Mind ! Is peace of mind available in heaps in Singapore or Central London?

Today, all the villages, towns, and cities of Residual Andhra Pradesh are under the grip of "Telugu drunkurds", beating wives, children, and mothers at their homes. All the food prices having gone up, people are surviving on idlis and attus (flat pan cakes) cooked and served on wayside-carts. Even these idlis and attus are not genuine, because we cannot find blackgram lentils or greengram lentils in them. People are drinking adulterate tea, because most tea stals buy cheap tea powders to sell tea at affordable rates. We can't blame them also. People are wearing torn clothes. People cannot buy or take on rent houses with some water and clean toilets, because they are beyond their means. Only happy persons left in this State are TDP Ministers, MLAs, and the corrupt Govt. Officials.

552 News roundup and Commentary

For those who wish to read the UNDER-QUOTED piece of study-worthy article by Ms. Pushpa Kurup, in Deccan Chronicle dated 26th July 2015, here is the link:-Click to go to Deccan Chronicle 150726.
It was built at the spot where Tsar Alexander II, the man who sold Alaska to the United States, was mortally wounded in a grenade attack in 1881. The interior of the church is a virtual museum of mosaics with intricately wrought biblical themes. Closed down by the Bolsheviks for decades, the church was used as a mortuary during World War II and later as a warehouse for potatoes. Today it is more of a showpiece than a place of worship.

Approx.

ybrao-a-donkey's humble views, you need not agree with me.

Bolshaviks seem to have closed prayerhouses in Russia by force. Anything which is done by force does not last long. Reason: People will love to do forbidden things. Soviet Govt. SHOULD HAVE made it compulsory for people to go to churches. Then nobody would have gone. People might have thought: Why this Govt. is forcing me to go to a prayerhouse? Why should I forego my freedom?

In India also we can have a similar scenario, when True Marxism or Total Socialism is implemented. To think that prayerhouses of all Religions (not only Indian religions, but also alien religions like Christianity and Islam) will be closed and used for storing potatos, it will be a great dream. Actually, we need not go to such extremes of closing down prayerhouses. But, prayerhouses of religions (INdians + alien religions) can be used for better socio-economic purposes, if common working class (proletariat) is given a participative role in prayerhouse managements.

This comment needs further improvement. I shall take up later.

About the photo of film stars shown at TOP above, I shall write in my next blog. This blog post has become lengthy. For the time being you can read my observation placed in the image.

Is there any place where OMNIPRESENT GOD (if at all he exists) does not exist above, on, below earth in the cosmos?

Shri Swaroopanandenda Swami, Head of Shri Sarada PITh monastery, Visakhapatnam, seems to have a different view point. He seems to think that God(dess) Godavari exists only in River, and does not exist on the River Bank. If we understand the philosophy correctly at higher planes which Swamijis are supposed to wander and rejoice in , we should have the following interpretation: when we place our foot either on the River Bank, or on a stage erected in River, or even on a hillock in Rajahmundry or in Chittoor or Hollywood, we shall be placing our feet on God(dess) only! According to Indian philosophical texts, God exists even in our belly. There is no question of God(dess) residing "outside" our bodies and "inside" our bodies. We can't escape God(dess). And God(dess) cannot escape from us, even if He-She wants to. He-She are prisoners both in our bodies and outside our bodies, in this Nature and Cosmos. This is the essence of Advaitha philosophy, not invented by this ybrao a donkey.

298 Most Indian Prime Ministers are eternal overseas tourists

297, Prime Ministers,Indira,Nehru,Manmohan,Rajiv,Vajpayee,Narasimha Rao,China,Brazil, Russia, Japan
