935 Russian Diaries of the period 1917-53 can help in identifying what might happened during and after the Bolshevik Revolution 1917

Though I am not a blind admirer of Bolshevik Revolution 1917, as a believer in the benefits of True Complete Socialism, having identified it for examination as a possible alternative for the stupid Capitalism, I am trying to write here a few blog posts on why the World 2017 is viewing the Russian Revolution 1917 and its experiments with Communism / Marxism / Socialism as total failures. For this purpose only, I have downloaded 45 volumes of the Collected Works of Vladimir Lenin the main leader of the Bolshevik Revolution 1917. I have examined some of the Volumes. I shall put through here, some of my observations / feelings / impressions. In the meantime, it will be worthwhile, to provide a link to a news item, that historians are trying to place diaries of the Soviet Citizens of that crucial period of World History online. I perceive that when compared to the Collective Works of Lenin, the diaries of USSR/Russian Citizens of the period 1917-1953, however obscure individuals those Citizens may be, their recordings will become more reliable, primarily because Lenin's Collected Works published by the Soviet Govt. Agencies of those days, might have, sufficiently been, sanitised by a need to hagiographically eulogize Lenin and Stalin. The Russian Citizens of those years, might have had some fears of persecution if their diaries were to be caught by the Stalin's Agents. Hence, I have decided to try compare Lenin's writings with what the Russian Citizens 1917-1953 wrote, privately for themselves and their families, with no intent to publish them.

We shall start with an AFP news report, published by theHindu.Com: Click here to go to http://www.thehindu.com/todays-paper/tp-national/between-the-lines-historians-put-stalin-era-diaries-online/article17693846.ece. One particular paragraph, in this report, is specially and sufficiently interesting, hence I am quoting it here, followed by yb-a-donkey's views, which are nt intended to be imposed on others:

At the same time, most were living in overcrowded accommodation and felt hungry most of the time.

“It’s quite rare for someone to eat till they are full,” Mr. Venyavkin said.

Mr. Venyavkin is: a 35-year-old historian Ilya Venyavkin, who is writing a book about diaries from the 1930s.

About congested accommodation

Though the accommodation provided by Lenin-Stalin-Trotsky Triumvirate during 1917-1953 to their Citizens might have been 'meagre', 'overcrowded' we may have to accept it as an unavoidable reality because 'accommodations' for an entire Nation of impoverished and deprived Population, cannot be created overnight or in a few years. This problem of scant, crowded, and unaffordable accommodation exists even in countries of 2017 which are considered as most Prosperous, such as Japan and United States. In Japan, many workers live in rented spaces what are known as bunker beds. Senior Citizens of Japan, are reported to be preferring to commit minor crimes so as to go to jails which in their view are better than the dungeons outside. In our Great World Ruling country of Uncle Sam, we find its citizens living under fly- overs, living in subways, living in their own cars/station wagons, living in Churches. Of course, two wrongs cannot make one right. Failures of Capitalism, cannot justify the failure of Bolshevik Leaders.

About "rare for someone to eat till they are full"

Let my readers compare the following two scenarios:
Socialist Sharing of PovertyCapitalist Overeating
Citizens sharing hunger of fellow-citizens, though involuntarily, for a limited period, till circumstances improve, can be considered as something noble. In 2017, we have several countries, which have scenarios, where 10% rich and super-rich overeat, do little exercise and suffer from metabolic diseases like diabetes, obesity etc., and 90% of their citizens lead a life of precarious existence, unable to earn two square meals a day.
It is not clear whether erstwhile USSR was able to solve this problem between 1954 and 1991.After 1991 Soviet Union disintegrated, and its Constituents turned to Capitalism. Is there any largE scale improvement either in Accommodation or in availability of food? I do not think in Putin's Russia 2017, there is ample food OR adequate uncrowded accommodation for all its Citizens.

896 (Part 1 of 10 series) Trump wants to rule the world with the help of Putin, May, Hollande and Angela Merkel ! Will that work?

It appears that Mr. Donald Trump wants to rule the world, with the help of the Russian Dictator Putin, British PM Ms. Theresa May, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and President of France Mr. Francois Hollande. Had it been before 1991, this conspiracy might not have worked , because the erstwhile U.S.S.R., used to be a sort of a bullwark against American Adventurism, with the help of its Nato Allies. Now, Mr. Putin, the Ruler of Russia seems to be too eager to be an ally of Mr. Trump (not Mr. Barack Obama), for reasons known only to Mr. Putin. U.K. has been, for a long time since its losing its global colonies, operating as a tail for the yankee-land.

Ms. Theresa May, the 2017 Prime Minister of (Great!) Britain is continuing the tradition. This is very clear, when Ms. Theresa May, while going on her visit to U.S.A., to meet Mr. Donald Trump, the President of the United States, is reported to have said as under. Click here to go to http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/01/25/theresa-may-america-britain-will-lead-together-brexit-election/ to see the news report.

"...So as we rediscover our confidence together, as you renew your nation just as we renew ours, we have the opportunity – indeed the responsibility – to renew the special relationship for this new age. We have the opportunity to lead, together, again. ..."

"...developing a stronger special relationship is “important not only to Britain and America but to the world ..."

"... The United Kingdom is by instinct and history a great, global nation that recognises its responsibilities to the world ..."

There were days when Britain was really Great (with its gun powder, gun power, and its crooked military tactics), having its empire, in which Sun does not set (Sun shining brightly somewhere or other in the Empire).

On 5th Sept. 2013, Russian official spokesman for Mr. Putin, Dmitry Peskov, was reported to have said: Click here to go to http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/russia/10290243/Russia-mocks-Britain-the-little-island.html, and study how Russia viewed Britain as a small island .
"... Britain is just a small island … no one pays any attention to them ..."

yb-a-donkey's views and perceptions which are not intended to be imposed on others:e

Considering the strained relations which U.K. is, of late, experiencing in the context of BREXIT, particularly with France and Germany, Ms. Theresa May may be expecting that Mr. Trump will accept Britain as the "dearest" European country, to American heart, in comparison to countries like France and Germany. But Mr. Trump seems to have some other perceptions, and he seems to want to carry along with him, not only Britain, but also France, Germany, and above all Russia.

PROOF

Whitehouse spokesman Mr. Scene Spicer, is said to have remarked in Twitter, on 27th Jan. 2017:--
"...Getting the most out of the first full week --tomorrow @POTUS will speak by phone with leaders of France, Germany and Russia."

Of course, analysers can always say that a newly elected President having telephone talks with world leaders of countries which have strong relations with U.S. is only a formality, to which no special significance can be attached. Analysers can always say that Mr. Trump's talking over telephone to the other Three European countries, does not effectively mean that those three countries and U.K. are equal in American eyes.

COUNTRIES, GOVERNMENTS AND NATIONS ARE BECOMING BUSINESS ENTITIES

According to my perception, it may be wrong, countries, Governments and Nations are becoming more and more a sort of BUSINESS ENTITIES working for profit. It will be onething, if such BUSINESS ENTITIES work for a common National Goal. Mr. Trump seems to believe that he represents only Euro-American Whites residing in United States. Even during the days of George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, this idea existed, as the American Leaders of those days too acted like Feudal landlords (Southern States) or Traders (be they Slave Traders, or traders in goods imported from Europe), ignoring that American Indians existed as the traditional natives of United States.

When Governments become Business Entities looking for profit and surplus, in every activity of theirs, its citizens will only become chicken in cages, waiting their slaughter. Heads of Government, Heads of State will become marketing persons on behalf of their Multi National Companies to sell aircraft, ammunition, and weapons. See this Indian Express.com report: Click here to go to http://indianexpress.com/article/india/india-news-india/india-tries-to-hasten-deal-with-us-to-buy-drone-aircraft-for-military-surveillance-amid-election-uncertainty-3066078/ and study

The United States has dislodged Russia as the top arms supplier to India. New Delhi is also on the cusp of sealing a US nuclear reactor deal worth billions of dollars.

In return, Washington has given New Delhi access to high-end military technology, such as a new system to launch planes off aircraft carriers, and leaned on other countries to give India membership in the Missile Technology Control Regime, which cleared the way for the sale of the unarmed Predator.

French Prsident, British Prime Minister, also act as representatives of their Multinational Companies to sell their arms and aircraft products. Germany is not much of an aircraft/weapon seller, but its leaders also market products like Volkswagon automobiles etc. We have to see how Mr. Trump is going to unite and compete with his European Rivals.

880 (Part 5 of 10 Series) Relook at Bolshevik Revolution- Mr. Putin cannot justify his present mistakes by zooming the mistakes of Lenin

A friend of mine, who has great affinity and appreciation towards Indian Nationalism of 2014-17 Brand, and who for reasons known only to him, probably because he loves Indian Nationalism extremely to the extent that Communism/Marxism/Total true Socialism may appear to him as somewhat forget-worthy ghosts, has emailed to me a link, to a news Guardian report titled: "Vladimir Putin accuses Lenin of placing a 'time bomb' under Russia ". This report was dated 25th Jan. 2016. Both video version and the news version are available for the Putin's speech. It is a common characteristic in world history, that present dictators finding fault with past dictators (if my readers do not relish my adventurism of using the word 'dictators' for my reference to Putin, and Lenin, my Readers shall be free to amend and read as "leaders" instead of "dictators", and wherever possible trying to pass on their own guilt(s) and lapses to the past dictators. With due respect to the 1999-2017 ruler of the World's geographically the largest country, I am tempted to say that Mr. Putin Remarks accusing Lenin of placing time bomb under Russia, can also be placed under this 'pass-on-the-buck category.

MORNING STAR उदय तारा వేగు చుక్క

One heartening quality of the speech of Mr. Putin is, low-voice, whispering manner and style, unlike the SHOUTING HOARSE, DRAMATIC, SARCASTIC STYLES OF INDIAN POLITICIANS.

ybrao-a-donkey's observations which are not intended to be imposed on others

If as pointed out by Mr. Putin, in case Lenin had supported Federalism, with a right to Constituents secede , and Stalin had supported a 'Unitary State', then it only shows a democratic and liberal philosophical outlook of Lenin, as against a sterner dictatorial style of Stalin. Even if we assume that Lenin error-ed in his decision of un-restricting the freedoms of the Constituent States of the erstwhile Soviet Union, yet, that error , does not deserve a comment of placing a Nation under a 'time bomb'. Lenin might have made an indiscretion in drawing the boundaries of parts of U.S.S.R. at that time. Yet, he does not deserve the comment of being 'whimsical', and "delirious". The comment for the information of our readers:

"...Lenin’s government had whimsically drawn borders between parts of the USSR, placing Donbass under the Ukrainian jurisdiction in order to increase the percentage of proletariat in a move Putin called “delirious..."

yb-a-donkey's view:

There is no need for anybody to be 'delirious' or 'whimsical' to classify a particular place as 'proletariat'. Every sq.meter under the sky, not a forest, is proletariat. We can find proletariat everywhere. Even Buckingham Palace will have proletariat; the Queen's guards and servants can be classified as proletariat, in spite of their being paid sizable wages. Of course, the Queen's guards and servants may not accept it, because they may be too proud of their jobs, to such an extent, that they may feel superior to the guards of car factory or a ketchup factory or a soda ash factory. Such mis-perceptions are natural concomitants of Capitalist Systems, sets-up and structures.

MISPERCEPTIONS OF SELF-UPGRADED UPPER-PROLETARIAT

It is like this: A pet with a gold-belt and bound with a gold-chain in British Royal Palace, may feel superior to a dog wearing a silver-belt and bound with a silver-chain in a business-magnet's flat. The silver-bound dog, in turn, may feel superior to an unbound belt-less, chain-less, stray-street dog in London or Delhi.

SOFTWARE ENGINEERS WHO HAVE STUDIED M.TECH, AND MIDDLE AND SENIOR MANAGERS, WHETHER MBA, OR NOT, AND HOWSOEVER POMPOUS THEIR DESIGNATIONS MAY BE, ALSO FALL UNDER PROLETARIAT.

Though they may not admit, but it is still a fact that, the software engineers of India may also be classified as proletariat. Working full time for a wage/salary can be one ingredient, to get admitted to proletariat, inter alia , there are other basic requirements to belong to the genre of proletariat.

Every Nation, and every Province-state-prefectures forming parts of Nature, are also proletariats. There is no need to place 'red vermilion' on the face of each province-state-prefecture-district-county and call it 'proletariat'.

SOME LIP-SYMPATHY PONTIFICATIONS OF MR. PUTIN, WHICH LACK SINCERITY

"...My attitude to Communist ideas have never wavered. To this day I keep my party membership ticket at home. ..."

"...You know that I, like millions of Soviet citizens, over 20 million, was a member of the Communist Party of the USSR and not only was I a member of the party but I worked for almost 20 years for an organization called the Committee for State Security (KGB) ..."

"...I was not, as you know, a party member by necessity, I liked Communist and socialist ideas very much and I like them still”.

"...I was never just a 'functionary' when it came to party matters. 'The Moral Code of the Builder of Communism—a set of rules to be followed by all party members— ', resembles the Bible a lot. ..."

"...The code revolved around key concepts such as brotherhood, equality and happiness. ..."

"...These ideas were not implemented fully in the USSR. The Soviet Union began with repressions—something the Communists accused the tsar of...".

yb-a-donkey's view:
Mr. Putin is just canny, and worldly wise. If he does not reiterate and confirm that he still holds the Communist Party's membership Ticket, he may lose some votes, some crowds. Why take risk? Accept that "I support Communism/Marxism", and do the opposite! A true Communist-Marxist-Socialist Leader cannot rule a State for 16 long years. People are bound to get dissatisfied, and throw long-standing rulers. Reason: Communist/Marxist/truly Socialist Nations are yet to evolve solutions for hundreds of problems which a newly-Socialist State is likely to face.

This is a thousand page subject. To continue. सशेष. ఇంకా ఉంది.
