1060 Are Ayurvedic Solutions really possible alternatives fo haemodialysis patients?

Trigger for this blogpost: I am not a Medical Doctor. Nor am I, any Medical Expert. Hence, this Blogpost is not to be viewed as a substitute for Medical Prescription from a Qualified Doctor, who is licensed to treat people. I am just trying to create awareness. I have already made some posts about Ayurveda and Homoeopathy, at this blog, particularly the shortcomings of Ayurveda (India's Ancestral Native System of Healing) and Homoeopathy. I am giving links to those posts, at bottom of this post. During the last one or two years, I have come across a number of acquaintances and friends suffering from diabetes, diabetes led kidney complications, chronic kidney disease (CKD), and numerous other problems. They had to undergo dialysis for some weeks, with not much of an improvement, and finally had to lose their lives. In the meantime, they have to mobilise moneys for dialyses and other expenses. I have also come across some persons suffering from Chronic Astma, Psoriasis. Personally, I view that among the available medical systems available today in this world, the Modern (Allopathic) System of Medicine appears to be the best, provided we have the moolah to shell down, whenever the Doctors and Hospital Authorities advise us to pay/deposit. Or alternatively, we should have REALLY DEPENDABLE CASHLESS TREATMENT ARRANGEMENTS either through Government Health Care Policies or through Public Sector Health Insurance Policies. We cannot say the same thing about Private Sector Insurance Policies. At the time of Collecting Premium, and issuing Policy/Cover Note billions of promises are made, and when it comes to providing Cashless healthcare or honoring a Reimbursement Claim, Trillions of queries are raised just to avoid/evade payment. Another unfortunate feature in Indian Hospitals, is-- many Hospitals treat dead bodies of patients as 'pledges' (security pawned to money-lenders, similar to what we pawn our gold rings or wrist watches when we need money badly). The Hospitals will not release the dead-body unless and until all their lucre demands are met.

A beautiful ancient Sanskrit proverb, which applies more to 21st Century, rather than to the millennia gone-by

Ayurveda's Main shortcomings

The main weakness of Ayurvedic Medicines is: Many of them contain "Mercury" (Telugu language: pAda rasam). This part of medical treatment is called 'rasa vaidyam'. Such Ayurvedic medicines which contain mercury may have names with suffixes such as 'rasA or rasam'. According to Scientific Investigations, consuming medicines which contain mercury may have harmful side effects, though may not be immediately fatal. Of course, Ayurvedic Doctors and aficionados defend the use of mercury in medicines, say that mercury before getting admission into medicines, will get "samskArams" i.e. purification processes. In my personal view, this argument may not be correct, because by washing mercury with cow's urine, or by melting and remelting mercury in kilns and crucibles etc. processes, its basic characteristics may not change.

I have been pointing out this problem since 2011. Click here to go to http://ayurvedayb.blogspot.in/search/label/006. To some extent this problem seems to have been remedied in respect of Ayurvedic medicines exported from India, probably owing to the stringent import and drug control regulations imposed by U.S.A., and some European countries. In India also, there is some marginal shift from 'mercury-containing-remedies' to 'purely herbal remedies'. This change is welcome.

I also greatly appreciate baidyanath, manufacturer of the medicine punarnavAdi kwAth for another reason

As per Ayurvedic Drug Regulations in India, Manufacturers of Traditional Ayurvedic Medicines have to menton on the Packing, the name of the Traditional Ayurvedic Book, based on which, their medicinal preparation has been made. Many Manufacturers are not adhering to this rule. We should be grateful that Baidyanath is following this Rule.

From the above image, Readers will find that :Sarngdhara Samhita is the Traditional Ayurvedic Book which is the source for their making the punarnavAdi kwAth. kwAth or kashAyam means a boiled decoction. Adi= etc. (other ingredient herbs, in addition to punarnava). Punarnava = Boerhaavia diffusa. Other ingredients, the first verse in the image in Roman Script:

punarvAmritA dAru pathyA nAgara sAdhitaha
gO mUtra guggulu yutaha kwAthas sOphOdarA pahaha.

punarnava = Boerhaavia diffusa.
amrita= Telugu language tippa tIgE.= Sanskrit, Hindi, Telugu: guDUci. Botanical Name: Tinospora cordifolia.
dAru = dEvadAru. Cedrus deodara. Family: Pinaceae.
Pathyā (पथ्या):—Another name for Harītakī (Terminalia chebula). Telugu: karakkAya.
nagara= Umbrella Sedge, Nutgrass, Nutsedge, Purple Nutsedge , Hindi: नागरमोथा Nagarmotha , Marathi: lawala , Tamil: koraikkilangu, nakamuttakkacu , Malayalam: korakizhanna , Telugu: kolatungamuste, tungagaddalaveru , Kannada: konnarigadda, nagarmusthe , Urdu: Nagarmotha, Sadkofi , Sanskrit: chakranksha, charukesara, chudalapindamusta, kachharuha, kalapini, nadeyi, nagar-mustaka. Botanical name: Cyperus scariosus. Family: Cyperaceae (Sedge family).
sAdhita= This word seems to mean "mixed, and ground". In the Telugu explanation in the following image, first verse, there is a reference to sonThi= dried ginger, mixed and dried with Lime (Calcium Oxide or Calcium Hydroxide).

guggulu cUrNam= Powder of guggulu, i.e. Commiphora mukul.
gO mUtra =cow's urine.
GokshUrA (Tribulus terrestris) also seems to be used. But, there is no reference to it in the above verse.

Fourth verse in the above picture, is also another version of punarnAvAdi kwAth, for swollen bodies, limbs and peripheries. First I shall quote the verse:
punarnavA dAru niSA sunThI , harItakI,
guDUcI, chitrakO, bhArngI, dEvadAru ca taistrutaha
pANi pAdOdara mukha prAptam,
SOpham vinASayEt.

English gist: punarnava =Boerhaavia diffusa,
deodar = Cedrus deodara,
nISA= haridra, turmeric, Cedrus deodara
sunThi, sonThi = ginger + calcium hydroxide dried in sun
harItaki = pathya explained above i.e. Terminalia Chebula, Telugu: karakkAya
guDUci= Tinospora cordifolia, also called giloy
citrak= Plumbago zeylanica, Telugu: citra mUlamu, pedda mulaka
bhArngi, also bhArangi: Clerodendron serratum Moon Pennel, Telugu: ganTu bhArangi

Decoction of an admixture of all these herbs, when taken in, can eradicate swellings in hands, legs, belly, face (etc.)

Note: In Telugu, we have two words: 1. sArangadhara. = Person holding a sAranga bird on his head/ shoulders / palm etc. According to Telugu historical folklore, sArangadhara was a Vengi Chalukya Prince of 11th Century CE. His Step mother new Queen sought sexual favors from him, which he refused, as she is mother, being his Father King's wife. New Queen complained to her Husband i.e. Sarangadhara's father that the Prince was seeking sexual favors from her. King without proper inquiries, ordered Sarangadhara to be made blind. The Tragic Saga of Sarangadhara arouses sentiments of compassion. Finally truth comes out. It is a different thing. In 1957, a memorable Telugu film was made with NTR, Bhanumati and SVR.

This Sarangadhara is not to be confused with medical Writer 'SArngadhara'.

2. Sarngadhara= sArnga means a lotus. sArngdhara = A person holding a Lotus flower. Say, Lord Vishnu, Gautama Buddha.

I am trying to provide a link to an English version of SArngadhara Samhita.
Another weakness of Ayurvedic Asavas and arishTAs

Fortunaely, kwAths do not have a weakness, which Asavas and arishTAs are like to suffer from.

AsavAs are liquids, made by fermenting 'raw' mixtures of herbs, for 40 days (called manDalam period), underground, in a cloth-sealed (called vAsina kaTTu) pot. After 40 days fermentation, the herbs will release some self-generated alcohol, which will also be a part of the medicine.

arishTAs are liquids, made by fermenting 'boiled' mixtures of herbs. Here also minimum period required is 40 days, to get the medicines with self-generated alcohol.

Some profit-minded manufacturers, unable to wait for 40 days, buy alcohol from Distillaries or from Government Warehouses under a quota, and then mix with the Asavas and arishTAs. This crazy speed, traditionalists do not approve. Fortunately, reputed manufacturers do not resort to this hasty misdeed.

KwAths are not fermented. They are just boiled decoctions. Hence, there is no problem of mix up of Commercial Alcohol.
Two questions come to my (ybrao-a-donkey's) mind:

1 Is fermentation underground, really necessary? What are the benefits of self-generated alcohol? How, Asavas and arishTas can be different from low alcohol beers? 2. How kwaths (decoctions) can be more effective than chUrNas (powders)?

Homoeopathy's main shortcomings

Shocking Revelation is: Homoeo medicines may not actually contain the substances which their labels mention. This is owing to excessive dilution which takes place with alcohol / milk-sugar, if the medicines are manufactured as per the principles and directions prescribed by its Inventor Dr. Samuel Hahnemann. . I have dealt with this lengthy explanation at my blog post No. 078 here: Click here to go to post No. 078 http://problemsoftelugus.blogspot.com/search/label/078. Besides, I get an impression on reading his Materia Medica Pura 1827 page 48, that he might have had irrational or odd beliefs. After all, I am ybrao-a-donkey. I shall quote it:
Materia Medica Pura (1827) p46 ....... we must act with moderation in order to avoid increasing the powers of the medicines to an undue extent by such trituration. A drop of Drosera in the 30th dilution succussed with 20 stokes of the arm at each dilution, given as a dose to a child suffering from whooping-cough, endangers life, whereas, if the dilution phials are succussed only twice, a globule the size of a poppy seed moistened with the last dilution cures it readily.

Why do you quote this now?
Ans: I have come across a very learned friend of mine, who went to ____ (A 150,000 population Town in Andhra Pradesh, East Godavari District) to get homoeopathically treated for his CKD, spending some amount, undergoing lot of hardships in travel in summer. He has been trying Allopathic, Homoeopathic, Ayurvedic, Acupuncture, systems, with things worsening month by month. These hardships could partly have been ameliorated if Homoeo and Acupuncture were removed from the list.

This is a 1000 page subject. More to write.

Flax Seed as a nutrient addition to dough for making pan seeds, can be a good remedy for preventing/giving relief from some ailments. Quote from source: "Adding roasted flax seed (Hindi- alsi ke beej) powder to wheat flour rotis to make them rich in fibre, antioxidants and omega 3 fatty acids can be wonderful option. Omega 3 fatty acid (alpha linolenic acid) protects us against heart disease, arthritis, asthma, diabetes and cancer. Flax is a very rich source of both soluble and insoluble fibre which has a cholesterol lowering effect, stabilises blood sugar, and aids digestion. Flax seed is high in phytochemicals, lignans- these components promote fertility, reduce peri-menopausal symptoms, prevent breast cancer and diabetes.". Arthritis can dislocate a part of our daily life

Here is a Deccan Chronicle.com Report about Arthritis being a greater threat than diabetes, to Indians. Click to go to http://www.deccanchronicle.com/151024/lifestyle-health-and-wellbeing/article/study-shows-indians-are-more-arthritis-diabetes'
Arthritis is more of a health threat to most Indians than lifestyle diseases like diabetes. A recent study found that nearly 18 crore people were likely to develop Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and other forms of the condition which affects the joints of the body.

This study was carried out over a period of three years by a diagnostic lab across India, according to the Asian Age. With the help of advanced radiology tests, clinicians found that 10.14 percent of those surveyed showed positive for RA. To add to that, 21.74 percent of the samples tested showed the presence of anti-nuclear antibodies. This meant that their immune system might be predisposed to cause inflammation against their own body tissues. Arthritis India lists this as one of the main cause for RA, according to the survey report.

Doctors classify arthritis into three main clinical types: Osteoarthritis (OA), Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and Gout. The most commonly affected places in RA happen to be the joint cartilages and membranes.

1. Diabetes, is inter alia (along with others) other reasons, also caused by excess sugar consumption, which when not converted by liver to fat cells, causing the release of sugar into blood stream. In AyurvEda , the traditional healing science of India, sugar is the main contributor of madhura rasam which is one of the six tastes (shaD rasams) which govern our food and our health. Excess intake of "madhura rasam" is a contributor to Aama vAta and joint pains, according to INdian traditions of healing. Thus there is a link among consumption of sweet taste, diabetes and arthritis.

tikta rasam (=bitter taste), is apparently a close associate of madhura rasam (=sweet taste) , in the sense that they seem to have similar effects, while lavaNa rasam (=salt taste),seem to be their "contra" (opposite). But, what I am unable to appreciate with my limited knowledge of Ayurveda (=Indian Traditional sciene of Healing), is: KarEla (=bitter gourd) is full of bitter taste. Sweet taste promotes vAta dOsha (=accumulation of unexpelled intestinal gas etc. owing to indigestion, and cooling down of the body's metabolism, at least temporarily.). Bitter taste also seem to have a similar action. If that is so, sweet substances and bitter substances [of which bitter gourd, and methi (=fenugreek) are two examples] cannot be expected to act as antidotes to madhu mEha (=diabetes).

Unfortunately, individuals and institutions often look only from their own point of view, and do not show much concern about holistic effects. Hence, Arthritis India seems to be viewing only from Arthritis, Immunity System, etc. angles, and apparently not giving importance to diabetes and madhura rasam (sweet taste). All the three are concomitant with one another and are good friends. Hence, any person who wants to guard himself against arthritis will have to also guard himself against diabetes (and vice versa i.e. to guard against diabetes, includes guarding against arthritis also). They are not mutually exclusive.

MADHURA RASAM (=SWEET TASTE) TOO HAS ITS BENEFITS

At the same time, we cannot starve ourselves by total abstinence from sweet taste. We get most of our calories (energy) from sweet rasa (taste). Even rice contains madhura rasa, though may be a lesser percentage, when compared to DIRECT sugars and sweets. Most grasses (includes wheat, jowar, bajra, maize) contain sugars.

Another friend of "madhura rasa" in raising vAta in body, is "tikta rasa (bitter taste)". It is strange that Ayurvedic physicians consider bitter gourd (karElA in Hindi and kAkara in Telugu) as a herbal remedy for diabetes. As kAkara's tikta rasa is a friend of sugar's madhura rasa, in raising vAta dOsha, at least theoretically, we have to concede that bitter-gourd is apathya (taboo-food) for diabetes patients. I am just pointing out this paradox. Only Ayurveda experts (I am not) can explain this paradox.

The opposites of madhura rasa are lavaNa rasa (salt taste) and kaTu rasa (hot taste). kaTu rasa causes thirst and a feeling of heating in body. Then madhura rasa (sweet taste of grasses including sugar cane) becomes an antidote. This may be the reason for people eating some hot savories like boondi with salt and hot tastes, after consuming boondi laDDus of sweet tastes.

Jaundice

Another example, we can see in jaundice (kAmela in Hindi. kAmerlu or pasikarlu in Telugu, a sort of Hepatitis B). Many allopathic doctors advise patients to take more glucose, unless the patients suffer from diabetes. Glucose is madhura rasa. It is not clear how kaTu, kashAya, lavaNa rasAs cause inflammation to liver. But according to Ayurveda, jaundice patients have to avoid hot, salty, astringent substances.

Another observation which comes to a lay ignorant person like me is: dOsha kshINata vs. dOsha prakOpa (Fall of the three dOshas vs. Aggravation of the three dOshas). This I experienced in the year 1990 when I suffered from a bout of jaundice.

First I had fever. Then, advised by friends, I consulted an allopath. He identified the fever as malaria and gave me the usual quota of four or five varieties of tablets. Then it subsided.

After a month I had jaundice, which I believed was caused by the contamination of drinking water with drain water, of our Great Vijayawada City, which our Greater Chandra Babu Naidu wants to make World Class. Besides, unable to resist my jihvA cApalyam (tongue's whims and fancies), I consumed some heavily spiced vegetable kUrmas served in Vijayawada restaurants with chapAtIs and parOThas. These spicy foods tend to be filled with excess kaTu rasa (hot taste), particularly with cakkA (dalchin), lavangAlu (cloves)d, and also sometimes excess lavaNa rasa (salt taste). Definitely, they do not contain madhura rasa.

kaTu and lavaNa rasas seem to have a tendency to cause itching of skin, which is one symptom of jaundice.

As per the advice of friends during the jaundice period of 26 days + another one month margin of safety, I took lot of coconut water, butter milk and glucose. All these substances are reputed as coolants with madhura rasa domination. Soon I had a bout of vAta fever. As friends and relatives were pressing me to go to an allopath, I consulted an allpathic doctor. Though he identified the fever as malaria, prescribed a half-a-dozen number of drugs. One lesson from this experience is, taking an opposite curative rasa beyond moderation, out of overzealousness to get cured, also seems to be counter-productive.

To continue.

540 Role models cannot really guide us to our self-actualisation or self-realisation.

One of my readers pointed out: "Why can't Swamijis have fun?"
Ans: Fun is for ordinary householders and individuals like you and me. Fun is not for Swamijis, Presidents, Prime Ministers, and Bharat Ratnas, who are expected to show way to a Nation of 1.20 billion Indians, and weight-lifters of whole Nations!

Today's is Swami Vivekananda's Death Anniversary. He passed away on 4th July 1902. July 4 is also the American Independence Day.

Click to go to Business Standard.com which contains the Govt. Press Release about PM's Tribute to Swami Vivekananda. . This link also contained additional four messages by PM.
* PM pays tributes to Swami Vivekananda, on his birth anniversary
* PM bows to Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore on his birth anniversary
* PM greets the people of Bihar, on Bihar Diwas

* My govt will ensure complete freedom of faith, PM says.

It can be observed from the garland of Press Releases that PM's message for Swami Vivekananda's Death Anniversary is also tagged with Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore's birth anniversary, Bihar Day, Swami Chinmayananda, and PM's assurance that his Govt. will ensure complete freedom of faith.

In India, politicians do not forget caste, religion, and region, on any given day. Even if people want to forget, it is not allowed. Bihar Elections are nearby. Ramadan holy month is going on. Hence, there is a need to cover every Section of the Society.

Gist of PM's message on Swami Vivekananda's Death Anniversary:

ybrao-a-donkey's humble views वैबीराव एक गधे के विनम्र राय వైబీరావ్ గాడిద వినమ్ర వ్యక్తిగత అభిప్రాయాలు

I believe that Respected Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi has not studied the Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda, particularly his epistles, in depth. May be because of his hectic political activity throughout his life.

If our Respected Prime Minister read about Swami Vivekananda's support of beef eating, penchant for liquors and non-veg. food, teaching Yoga to drunken American Women, his fetish for the yankee land, his calling India a jelly fish and a rotten corpse, our PM and, ---our PM's Parent Organisation RSS and VHP top functionaries, studied the deviating ways of Swami Vivekananda, ---- they might not have have chosen to place Swamiji on a very high pedestal and built a memorial for him at Kanyakumari spending millions. Actually, Hinduism does not need any role models or propagandaists. Hinduism is not a religion for spreading. It is a pluralist and well-diffused lifestyle, broader and more accommodative than the narrow religions of the West Asia, Istambul and Rome.

For those who are interested to see a different perspective on Swami Vivekananda, can have a look at the blog: Click to go to yb's blog on Swami Vivekananda.

What had happened in U.S.A. and Europe, during the two visits of Swami Vivekananda? While Veerchand Gandhi representing Jains at the World Congress of Religions, Chicago, mobilised two ship loads of wheat and sent to famine-stricken India, Vivekananda tried to make some dollars by entering into a contract with an American Company, got cheated by them, and then he tried to make dollars independently, by teaching yoga to drunken aristocratic women. He was insisting on staying in big hotels. Beef was not a taboo for him. He was asking Alasinga to send money. Rev. Barrows (2nd in Command of the World Parliament on Religions) built hopes on Vivekananda and Majundar to propagate Christianity in India, Vivekananda tried to make dollars in USA, by attracting rich disciples. Establishing a temple for Guru Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, serving the poor in India, they were all facades. Even a small thing like abstaining from smoking (a true Hindu Sanyasi is considered as Indriya-jit or jitEndra), he could not accomplish. His co-author and publisher of Raja Yoga , E.T. Sturdy a great Sanskrit scholar of LOndon, had developed doubts about Swamiji. Ms. Henrietta Muller, an equally great intellectual like Vivekananda, who donated large amount for purchase of Belur Math land, called everything a fraud and shifted to Theosophy of Annie Besant.

Vivekananda always wanted to stay in Cool Centres like Ooty, Almora. For that reason only, Switzerland, France, America suited. him. He loved the yankee land so much so, that he called India a jelly fish and a rotten corpse.

Proof for everything pointed above can be obtained from his Complete Works published by his own institutions. Some of the quotes, are worth retweeting. But nobody retweets them.

One sample quote, we shall have! Swami Vivekananda wrote to Mr. E.T. Sturdy from Ridgely Manor, on Sept. 14, 1899:
"...In India the moment I landed they made me shave my head and wear "Kaupin" (loin cloth), with the result that I got diabetes etc. Saradananda never gave up his underwear — this saved his life, with just a touch of rheumatism and much comment from our people. Of course, it is my Karma, and I am glad that it is so. ..."

Same quote, approximately in Telugu language my mother tongue:

Does anybody get diabetes by shaving head and wearing kaupin? Nearly 750 million Indians wear kaupins every day. Should we say that they will get diabetes only because they shave their heads or wear kaupins (loin cloth)? Absurd! What a prolific thinker, Swami Vivekananda was! Does a prolific thinker blame his karma for his diabetes?

One of my readers pointed out: "Why can't Swamijis have fun?" Ans: Fun is for ordinary individuals like you and me. Fun is not for Swamijis, Presidents, Prime Ministers, and Bharat Ratnas, who are expected to show way to a Nation of 1.20 billion Indians, and weight-lifters of whole Nations!

Question,

Now, one more pertinent question which arises to my mind: Does any human (Indian or a Non-Indian, whoever he is) require a role-model, to emulate and modulate one's own behaviors?

Ans: Probably not. We can even say 'Definitely not'. Reasons: Every individual lives his-her life in a unique set of environment. Goals of individuals differ. Resources available to the individuals differ. Constraints which limit individual behaviors differ. Then, there is a conflict of broad objectives vs. sub-objectives. There may be conflicts between immediate objectives and long term objectives.

To give an example, here is a link about Ajit Wadekar, Sunil Gavaskar, and Sachin Tendulkar. Click to go to Indiatimes.com/when-sachin-tendulkar...

Context: Date: PTI 25.4.2015. Mr. Ajit Wadekar, a septugenarian Cricketer, Former Captain, Former Manager of India. His keynote address at the Legends' Summit on the occasion of Tendulkar's 42nd birthday. We shall see a part of what Mr. Wadekar was reported to have said:

"...There was this incident in New Zealand. It was on my birthday which is April 1. We had a lovely net session day before and I retired to bed early as I used to fool others on All Fools' Day. I was half asleep when at stroke of midnight, Sachin was at my room door with a serious look on his face. ..."

"...I asked Sachin as to why he was knocking at my door at such an odd hour and he said that something was wrong with Kapil Dev. I wore my pyjamas and went to Kapil's room two floors away. When we entered the room, I saw the entire team with a cake and champagne bottled. I was shocked and surprised..."

"...Suddenly, from the connecting room, belly dancers, six of them, walked in and started dancing. I wondered this must have been Sachin's idea as Sunny (Sunil Gavaskar), though a commentator on that tour, was not to be seen. Sunny is famous for his pranks but this must have been Sachin's idea..."

"...I really enjoyed belly dancing and had two glasses of champagne, before I realized that everyone had started leaving. I was suddenly left with one belly dancer. Being the manager of the team, I had to observe the code of conduct and retire to my room ... "

Firstly, we should greatly, greatly appreciate Mr. Wadekar's openness and transparency.

Indian cricketers are very good in playing pranks. Here, Wadekar's observation is very clear about Mr. Sachin Tendulkar bringing belly-dancers to please Team Manager. Leaving him with one belly dancer after everybody left, what message does it convey? It is good that Mr. Wadekar didn't forget about code of conduct. Did other cricketers forget about code of conduct? That he might not have known.

Mr. Vinod Cambli was a cricketing-twin of Sachin Tendulkar from Mumbai City, both being disciples of the same mentor. It is believed that Cambli lost his place in Indian team owing to inconsistent performances and off-field conduct. For that matter even Mr. Sachin Tendulkar was also inconsistent in several series. But he rarely lost his place. In spite of several mediocre performances, selectors and the Board gave him numerous chances, prolonged his career, and enabled him to build records. So, did our Bharat Ratna's pranks helped him to get a prolonged career?

Mr. Vinod Cambli should have learnt some techniques from his childhood friend and team mate Mr. Sachin Tendulkar.

Mr. Wadekar's observation about Sunil Gavaskar's fame for pranks can also be noted.

ybrao a donkey.
