WE DO NOT KNOW that Telugu People will be too ready and willing to be ****ed @ Rs. 250 million per film.
Else we would have made some billions. Now what is the use !!! We are all gone !!!
After the fall of Maratha and Mughal empires, i.e. the 1st half of the 18th Century, robbers named PinDAris and Thugs, raided villages, riding horseback, killing people recklessly, abducting women, and snatching away gold. According to some historians, these Thugs and PinDAries were the soldiers who lost their employment, but had guns in their hands and horses under their seats. Though some British Governor Generals took credit for eliminating the Thugs and PinDAris, fact remains that their incarnations continue even now in Chambal Valley, UP, and Bihar.
Down the South India, we do not have the Thugs and PinDArIs in the rugged rustic form of horse-riding gun-wielders, but in the form of film stars. We need not name them, saying them Razni Kanth, Mahesh Babu, Pavan Kalyan, Chiranjivi, Amitabh Bachan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Amir Khan,Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, so on and so forth. Calling the so called mega stars as Thugs and PinDAris will be an insult to the Thugs and PinDAris.
How can we solve this problem in Total Socialism, your fad?
Total Socialism without "Awareness among People" does not really materialise. Even if somebody tries to force it upon people (Lenin tried his Brand of Communism, but it is not clear whether Soviet Communism deteriorated during his lifetime , or during the decades following his demise, upto 1991), such coercions will neither benefit people nor last long.
There is also a dire and imperative need for a visualisation and discussion of how things are to be during Total Socialism, before pursuing it as a fantasy or as a goal. It is, therefore, a good question, to examine how the problem of Mega Stars, Mega Cricketers, Mega Sports-persons including Tennis Players, Footballers, and thousand other celebrity classes pillaging the poor Indians, and the World-- can be set right in the new set up.
We must also keep in mind, the malfunctioning of State monopolies in Entertainment and Information Sectors. Still, when compared to what is happening in the name of Films, Sports, Entertainment (&c.), it will be better even to have a very little, as long as it is qualitative. But, then again, there arises a problem of defining what constitutes 'quality'.
What I am concerned, is, about persons performing labor worth $10,000 per annum, and taking away $10 million as remuneration. This cannot be allowed under the pretext that people develop a craze towards some Xyz calling them Mega stars or a Super Heros and that Market is paying them, why should we object. If "Market Paying huge amounts on its own volition" is correct, then there should be no need to corner theaters, and jack up prices, threaten small producers, and black market the tickets during the first week. Though there may be nothing wrong in calling the Protagonists in films-- Mega Stars and Super Stars, there will definitely be great danger in allowing them to knock away, the whole cake of Revenues from films. The proletariat of the Film Industry (i.e. Junior Artists, Technicians, part-timers and others including Cinema Theater Gate-keepers) should have protested and revolted against this abominable State of Affairs in the Film Industry, which is robbing its own proletariat, but also the macro-proletariat of Andhra Pradesh and India.
Since the Total Socialism which we aim at, will not have a monetary economy and a market economy. what an actor gets in a State-Produced film will only be his food + clothing + shelter + old age security on par with any other worker in a Socialist Set up. In Proletarian Democracy (This has been mis-termed as Dictatorship of Proletariat by Karl Marx, and misinterpreted by dictators like Stalin and Mao Tse Tung, Castro and Kim to mean Totalitarian One party rule and Dictatorship.), Workers will decide (they can decide with a secret ballot), on the role to be played by artists such as actors, dancers, singers, and entertainers-pastimers like sports persons.
My name is OZYMANDIAS, King of Kings..
TODAY'S ENGLISH POEM
Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822)
I MET a Traveler from an antique land, Who said, "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desart. Near them, on the sand, Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown, And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command, Tell that its sculptor well those passions read, Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things, The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed: And on the pedestal these words appear: "My name is OZYMANDIAS, King of Kings." Look on my works ye Mighty, and despair! No thing beside remains. Round the decay Of that Colossal Wreck, boundless and bare, The lone and level sands stretch far away.
IN TELUGU LANGUAGE, MY MOTHER TONGUE
To continue.
