Krishnapatnam Port, Potti Sriramulu Nellore District, A.P., India is already a coal import hub. Now, according to news reports, it is going to be promoted as a Sand import hub also. Sand imported from South East Asian countries like Cambodia, is said to be used for construction of the New Capital for the State of Residual Andhra Pradesh. Ostensibly, this is expected to save Krishna River from its sands being depleted.

భారత్ యొక్క విదేశ వాణిజ్య లోటు, నియంత్రణ స్థాయిని దాటి, భయంకరంగా మారింది. భారత్ ఈ ప్రమాదకర వాణిజ్యలోటును గురించి చింతించటం కూడ తర్కించుకోటం, పరిష్కారాలను అన్వేషించుకోటం, మానేసింది. జనాభా విస్ఫోటం గురించి బాధ పడటం మానేసి, దాని గురించి మనం ఏవిధంగా గర్వించటం మొదలు పెట్టామో, విదేశీ పెట్టుబడులను విశృంఖలంగా స్వీకరించటం ద్వారా వచ్చిన విదేశ మారక నిల్వలను చూముకొని మురిసి పోటం మొదలు పెట్టాము. నిజానికి వాణిజ్యలోటే కాదు, భారత్ కేవలం చెల్లింపుల సమతౌల్యాన్నే లెక్కలోకి తీసుకుంటే, ప్రమాదపు అంచుల్లోనే ఉన్నట్లు లెక్క. ఎందుకంటే, విదేశీ పెట్టుబడుల ద్వారా వచ్చిన విదేశీ మారకాన్ని మనం ఆదాయంగా భావించుకోటం ఘోర తప్పిదం. విదేశీ పెట్టుబడులకి విదేశాలనుండి తెచ్చుకునే అప్పులకీ ప్రధాన భేదం ఏమిటంటే, అప్పులకు అసలు యొక్క కిస్తు, వడ్డీ లను చెల్లిస్తే చాలు. విదేశీ పెట్టుబడులకి మనం మన కంపెనీలు సంపాదించే లాభాలను విదేశీ పెట్టుబడిదారులకు ధారపోయాలి. వారు కేవలం డివిడెండ్ ను మాత్రమే ఆశించి తృప్తిపడే రకాలు కాదు. గొర్రెపోతులు, పందులు ఊరినట్లుగా , మన స్టాక్ ఎక్స్ఛేంజీలు కూడ ఎప్పుడూ పైకెగబాకుతున్నట్లుగా కనపడాలి. కంపెనీలు నిజంగా వ్యాపారాలు, ఉత్పత్తులు చేసి లాభాలను సంపాదించి, వాటి యొక్క షేర్ల విలువలు పెరిగి పోతే సంతోషమే. అలా జరగటం లేదు. స్టాక్ మార్కెట్లు డీలా పడినప్పుడల్లా భారత ప్రభుత్వం ప్రభుత్వ బ్యాంకులపైనో, జీవిత బీమా సంస్థ పైనో, ఈపీఎఫ్ఓ పైనో వత్తిడిలు తెచ్చి ప్రజలు వాటిల్లో చేసుకున్న పొదుపును స్టాక్ మార్కెట్లలో కుమ్మరిస్తున్నది. ఇది ఎంతో ప్రమాదకర పరిస్థితి.
