The new GST (Goods and Services Tax) Regime, which is going to come into force, seems to place a larger tax burden, on the traditional system of Indian Medicine, popularly known as 'Ayur vEda' Approx. English: Knowledge of Life. The anxiety expressed by Baba Ramdev and Association of Manufacturers of Ayurvedic Medicines (AMAM), about the higher rate of 12% GST which is going to be imposed on Ayurvedic Medicines, is genuine and worth noting. We shall analyse some quotes from the Deccanchronicle.com, on the anxieties of the Ayurveda Sector.

how can people feel and live 'Achchhe Din' without the right to good health?	Even prior to GST, Ayurvedic Medicines were pretty costly, may be due to a steep VAT Rate, and Ayurveda like Allopathy used to be expensive even before GST. GST of 12% makes it further costlier.
GST rate for classical or generic range of ayurvedic medicines must be nil and 5 per cent for patented products instead of the proposed 12 per cent.	Pure Ayurvedic Medicines, particularly vrikshAyurveda medicines, based on ancient texts, needs to be placed in 0% GST bracket. For patented medicines, tax rate can be even 12%. Reason: Some patented medicines made by some Manufacturers are not really Ayurvedic. To avoid some allopathic drug licensing regulations, the Allopathic Pharma Manufacturers seem to be pushing their goods as Ayurvedic medicines. AMAM will have to take the responsibility of identifying such non-ayurvedic but allopathic manufacturers, and bringing their cases to the notice of the Government for corrective action.
Higher GST on ayurvedic category has surprised us and is very disappointing and disheartening	Union Finance Minister will have to correct it.
ayurveda, which provides care and cure to common man at affordable price and is ancient and proven therapy for ages, doesn't deserve such treatment. "Good health and healthy living is common man's basic right and expectation. Without all these, how can one feel and live 'Achchhe Din' ?	We have to accept.
The Indian government has been aggressively promoting ayurvedic products internationally but what's the point of doing these things when the tax rate is so high and the common people can't afford it at home? ... This is sad and unfortunate as the Prime Minister is doing his best to boost the AYUSH system.	Personally, this ybdonkey does not believe that PMOI will be interested to help Ayurveda.
The previous UPA government "treated ayurveda industry as step child, but this government has taken steps to take it forward. ... High tax rate proposed under GST will make Ayurvedic, Sidha and Unani medicines out of reach of common man and kill the system".	Both the present and previous Governments are/were not interested to promote Native Systems of Medicines. (Note: Homoeopathy is not Native to India.
If homeopathic products could be put under 5 per cent slab under GST, ayurvedic products should also be kept under the rate.	Homoeopathic medicines contain no medical substances except milk sugar, alcohol and sugar globules. Reasons: Homoeo medicines are extremely diluted with alcohol, in the name of creating potencies. When medicines are extremely dilutely, for alcohol, milk sugar and dilution, the cost of production will be very nominal. Actually, it is high time that India should ban Homoeopathy in our country. It is nothing but placebo. If banning is not possible, in view of high profitability, there is nothing wrong in levying higher taxes. On the other hand, ayurvedic herbs are dificult to cultivate, store, and production costs will be higher when compared to homoeopathy.

According to Baba Ramdev, the Lion of India is , Mr. Narendra Modi. Baba Ramdev said it at Haridwar on 26th April 2013.
Who is the lion of India?  Of course, it is not I.  Because I am a donkey.  हिंदूस्थान के शेर कौन है, मैं तो नहीं।  मै गधा हूँ न।  హిందూస్థాన్ సింహం ఎవరు?  నేనైతే కాదు లెండి.  ఎందుకంటే, నేను గాడిదను కదా.

We shall come to the subject.  विषयांंश को आयेंगे।  విషయాంశానికి వద్దాము.

I have today uploaded a Hindusthani Classical Instrumental Video of RAg by name HindusthAni Sri.  आज मै, यहा, हिंदूस्थानी शास्त्रीय वाद्य संगीत में एक बहुत उत्तेजक राग हिंदूस्थानी श्री के वीडियो को अपलोड किया हूँ।  ఈ రోజు నేను హిందూస్థానీ శాస్త్రీయ వాద్య సంగీతంలో ఎంతో ఉత్తేజక రాగమైన హిందూస్థానీ శ్రీరాగాన్ని అప్ లోడ్ చేయటం జరిగింది.

After uploading, I wanted to check up whether the video comes properly in Google Search Results.  Hence, I went for a Google search.   अपलोड करने के बाद, गूगिल खोज रिज्ल्ट्स मे आयेगा या नहीं आयेगा देखने के लिये गूगिल अन्वेषण किया हुँ।
అప్ లోడ్ చేశాక, గూగిల్ సర్చిలో సరిగా వస్తుందో రాదో నని, సర్చి చేశాను.

The moment I entered Hindusthani Sri in Hindi devanagari script, and clicked the search button, I got 9570 Hindi results.  All of them say हिंदूस्थानी के शेर नरेन्द्र मोदी जी।   The following is a facebook page.

What surprised me very much is not -Sriman Narendra Modi becoming Hindusthan ke Sher, but we got just only 9570 Hindi results.  यह मुझे आश्चर्यचकित किया कि-- श्रीमान नरेंद्र मोडी महोदय हिंदूस्थान के शेर बनना यह नहीं, हिंदूस्थाने के शेर श्री नरेंद् मोडीजी के विषय में सिर्फ ५९७० गूगिल फलित मिले।  నన్నాశ్చర్య పరిచింది, శ్రీ నరేంద్ర మోడీ మహోదయ్, హిందూస్థాన్ సింహం ఆయ్యాడా కాలేదా అనేది కాదు, శ్రీనరేంద్ర మోడీ హిందూస్థానీ సింహం అనే విషయం పై కేవలం 9570 హిందీ ఫలితాలు మాత్రమే రావటం.

హిందూస్థానీ శ్రీ రాగమూ, కర్నాటక సంగీత సంగీత శ్రీరాగమూ (ఎందరో మాహానుభావులూ విని ఉంటారు) ఒకటి కాదు.  అవి ఉత్తర దక్షిణ ధృవాల లాంటివి.  

హిందూస్థానీ శ్రీ రాగం పూర్వీ (కొందరు పూరియా అంటారు, ఉత్తర భారత్ లోనే కొంత గందరగోళం ఉంది) కుటుంబానికి చెందినది.  నా దృష్టిలో పూర్వీ మరియు పూరియా రెండు ఒకే రాగ కుటుంబాన్ని సూచిస్తాయి.  పూర్వీ అన్నా పూరియా అన్నా తూర్పు దిశకు చెందిన అనే అర్ధం. అయితే ఇది తూర్పు భారత్ లో ప్రచలితం అనటానికి ఆధారాలు తక్కువ.  హిందూస్థాని సంగీతంలో పూరియా లేక పూర్వీ థాట్  దాదాపుగా కను మరుగయినట్లే.  మన కర్నాటక సంగీతంలో, హిందూస్థానీ పూర్వీథాట్ కి సమాన కుటుంబం లేక మేళ కర్త ౫౧ వ మేళ కర్త పంతువరాళి లేక కామవర్ధిని.   ఇది కర్నాటక శుధ్ధధైవతం కలిగింది.  మనం కర్నాటక సంగీతంలో వాడే పూర్వీ కల్యాణీ మొ|| రాగాలు గమనశ్రమ జన్యాలు.  వాటిలో చతుశృతి ధైవతం వాడకం జరుగుతుంది.  ఇది హిందూ స్థానీ సంగీతంలో మార్వా కుటుంబానికి చెందినవి.

Didn't persons become kings in the past? Weren't kingdoms formed? Didn't the kings become proud and arrogant? Where are they? Did they take their wealth anywhere? Do they have their names etched on this Earth? Won't the kings Sibi et al desirous of fame, fulfill desires of seekers? Did the people forget them?

Context:
This verse is from the episode of Lord VishNu's incarnation of vAmana, to suppress Emperor Bali to the nether world, and restore Chief of Demy Gods -Indra to his position. In this story, VishNu in the guise of VAmana, a celibate priest (youthful Brahmin) asked for 3 feet of land from the Emperor Bali. Bali's preceptor and savior Sukracharaya tried to dissuade Emperor Bali from granting the wish of the deceitful God VishNu in the guise of BrahmaNa vAmana. The above is part of the conversation between the preceptor SukracArya and the Emperor Bali. Emperor Bali was referring to the ephemeral nature of kings, kingdoms and wealth. He went ahead with his benevolence by gifting 3 feet of land to vAmana. vAmana measured entire expanse of the earth with his first step, entire skies with his second step, and asked the king where to keep his third step. Bali showed his head and asked vAmana to place it on his head. vAmana seized the opportunity, placed his foot on Bali's head, and suppressed him to the nether world. Thereafter, vAmana restored demy-God-Boss Indra to his position.


What lesson is there for the 21st Century Indian rulers? That Narendra Modi, Arun Jaitley, Chandra Babu Naidu, Devendra Fadnavis should learn?
