Even after 74 years, International Film Industry, Indian Film Industry, Telugu film industry have not learnt any lessons. Here is an excerpt from an article penned by one Shri "rA rA ju" in Andhra Patrika 1941 Telugu Magazine, "Vrisha" Telugu New Year Day issue. The title of the article is "Telugu Film PariSrama dArulaku konni sUcanalu" (Some suggestions to the Telugu film industrialists). It is a detailed and lengthy review of the Telugu film industry of 1941 (సినిమా సింహావలోకనం). Though the writer intended them for the Film INdustry of the Telugu language, they apply to all the film industries of all languages and all countries in the world. This is because Capitalists learns never learn from History. They have a disdain towards History, and over-confidence in themselves, which often extends to a level of arrogance.
Is 1941 repeating in 2017?
తారల వేతనాలు తగ్గించాలి. (Salaries of Stars should be curtailed.)
స్టార్ సిస్టం వల్ల మనకిప్పుడంతగా ఒనగూడే లాభం లేదని పైన చెప్పే ఉన్నాను. I have already said that there will be no benefit to us with the Star System now.
తెలుగు ఫిలిమ్ పరిశ్రమలో కొందరు తారలకు హిందీ తారల కివ్వని వేతనాలు కూడ యిస్తున్నదని భ్రమ పడి ప్రొడ్యూసరులు ప్రఖ్యాత తారల కెగబడి, ఒకరిపై ఒకరు పోటీ పడి చేయటం వల్ల ఈ పరిస్థితి ఏర్పడింది. This situation has arisen because some producers, suffering from an illusion that Telugu film industry is paying high wages to Telugu Stars which Hindi film industry does not pay to Hindi stars, are standing in a crazy queque before the mega stars.
హిందీ చిత్ర పరిశ్రమతోనూ, వారికుండే మార్కెట్టుతో నూ, వారి చిత్రాల కొచ్చే ఆదాయం తోనూ పోల్చి చూస్తే తెలుగు తారలకు ఇప్పుడిచ్చే వేతనాల్లో నాలుగోవంతు కూడా యివ్వటం న్యాయం కాదు. It will not be reasonable to pay even 1/4th of the wages which we are now paying to Telugu Stars, when compared to the Hindi Film Industry, their markets, the income they get for their films.
కాబట్టి , నటీనటుల వేతనాల్లో , ఒక కనిష్ఠ ప్రమాణము, ఒక గరిష్ఠ ప్రమాణము నిర్ణయించుకొని ప్రొడ్యూసర్లందరూ ఆ పధ్ధతిని అనుసరించటం మంచిది. Hence it will be good for producers to arrive at a consensual minimum standard, maximum standard for payment of wages to stars, and follow those standards.
నెలకు రూ. 500 కంటే ఏతారకూ ఎక్కువ వేతనం ఇవ్వ పని అవసరం లేదని నా వుద్దేశం. It is my opinion that no star needs to be paid more than Rs. 500 per month.
కాంగ్రెస్ మంత్రులకు సైతం అంతకంటె ఎక్కువ జీతాలు లేవు. Even Congress Ministers, are not getting more than those wages.
ఏవిధంగా నైనా మన తెలుగ ఫిలిం పరిశ్రమ స్థిర పడి , ఎక్కువ ఆదాయం వస్తున్న తరువాత, ఈ వేతనాలు కావలిస్తే వృధ్ధి చేసుకోవచ్చు. In some manner or other, Telugu film industry has to stabilise first, raise its income. After that, we can raise the wages.
అంత వరకూ నటులైనా ఆవుపాలకు ఆశించవలెనే కానీ పొదుగుకోసి పాలు త్రాగటానికి ఆశ పడరాదు. Till then, even stars should only hope for cow's milk, and should not be tempted to cut their udders.

Monthly Rs. 500/- ! That it is more than the Congress Ministers of 1941. Today none of our Congress, BJP, TDP, TRS etc. Ministers will be satisfied unless they get at least Rs. 100 million per annum and Rs. 500 million in their five years term. Our mega stars, will they work for Rs. 1,00,000/- per month?
నెలకు రూ. ఐదు వందలా /-. మేము మెగా స్టార్లమా, బిచ్చ గాళ్ళమా. 1941 నాటి కాంగ్రెస్ మంత్రులకు ఆ దిక్కుమాలిన 1941 నెలకు రూ. 500 కన్నా తక్కువ ఇస్తే ఇచ్చి ఉండ వచ్చు. ఆనాటి నటులు నెలకు రూ. 500 కన్నా ఎక్కువ తీసుకుని రోల్స రాయస్ కార్లలో తిరిగి ఉండవచ్చు. ఇపుడు మేము రోల్స్ రాయిస్ కార్లలో తిరగాలంటే మాకు ఎంత కావాలి ? స్వాముల వార్లు కూడ లక్ష రూపాయలు ఇవ్వనిదే కాళ్ళు కడగనివ్వరు కదా. ఇంటికి వ చ్చి భిక్ష స్వీకరించరు కదా.
భారత్ వైశాల్యం ఎంత ? షుమారు ౩౩ లక్షల చదరపు కిలోమీటర్లు. ఈ ౩౩ లక్షల కిలోమీటర్లలో గంతులు వేస్తూ అర్ధం పర్ధం లేని పాటలకు స్టెప్పులు వేయటానికి కొండలకు, నదులకు, జలపాతాలకు, నగరాలకు, గ్రామాలకు, గుళ్ళకు, గోపురాలకు, వంద గజాల స్థలమే దొరకలేదా. స్విట్జర్లాండు, లండన్, సింగపూర్, ఫ్రాన్సు వెళ్ళి షూటింగ్ చేసుకోటానికి. ఇంత పేదదేశమైన మనకు యూరప్ , అమెరికా , జపాల్ లకు వెళ్ళి అక్కడ రోడ్లమీద గంతులు వెయటానికి సిగ్గూ శరమూ లేకపోతే ఎలా. ఇలా గంతులేసే ఖర్చులెవరివ్వాలి. కూలీ నాలీ చేసే తెలుంగు వీరులే కదా.
