Tune dhAtuvardhani is from South Indian Classical Music, very popular as Carnatic Music.  DhAtuvardhani is also called dhauta panchamam.  It is an extremely rare rAga.  The ascendant notes of dhAtu vardhani are: c,d#,e,f#, g,g#,b,c'.  Descendant notes are c',b,g#,g, f#,e,d#,c.  Part 2 of the tune, i.e. uttarAnga is same as those in the parent families (mELakartAs) gAnamUrty, dhEnuka, mAyAmALavagauLa, kIravANi, sarasAngi, gAngEyabhUshaNi, varALi, subhapantuvarALi, pantuvarALi, simhEndra madhyamam, latAngi.   Its part 1 i.e. pUrvAnga is same as the other rAgAs in Aditya Cycle, of which it is a member.  Hence, part 1 of the tunes sucaritam, jyOtisvarUpiNi, nAsikAbhUshaNi, kOsalam, rasikapriya match.  dhAtuvardhani's family No. i.e. mELakarta No is 69 in the VenkaTamakhi's tune classification system.  When we move more in part 1, we may get a feeling that we are hearing rAgAs like sucaritam, jyOtisvarUpini etc. group.    When we move more in part 2, we may get a feeling that we are listening to the group of gAnamUrti, dhEnuka etc.   In this composition, ybrao a donkey tries  to depict the tune in North Indian style popularly called HindusthAni style, with refrain (sthAyi) and note-cycle-sets called tODe in vilambit and drutgat (slow and fast tempos), in 4-8-16 rhythm (called tIn tAL or Adi tALam).  Errors if any, they belong to ybrao a donkey and not to great VenkaTamakhi.

ధాతు వర్ధని శ్రీవేంకట మఖి రాగాల వర్గీకరణ కటపయాది పట్టికలో , ౬౯వ మేళకర్త.  ఆదిత్య చక్రం.  ధాతువర్ధని కుటుంబానికి ఇది జనకరాగం.  దీని పూర్వాంగం ఆదిత్యచక్రంలోని ఇతర రాగాలకు వలెనే రెండు దైవతాలను వాడుతుంది.  అంటే, సుచరితం, జ్యోతిస్వరూపిణి, ధాతువర్ధని, నాసికాభూషణి, కోసలం, రసికప్రియ కుటుంబాలలోని రాగాలన్నిటిలోని స,రి,గ,మలు ఒకటే.  స్ట్రిక్ట్ గా ఆలోచిస్తే, దీనిలో రిషభం లేదు, అంటే రిషభ వర్జ్యరాగం.   కానీ, సాధారణ గాంధారాన్నే షట్ శృతి రిషభం  (ఎందుకంటే, చతుశ్ శృతి రిషభం నుండి షట్ శృతి రిషభం రెండు శృతులు పైన ఉన్నట్లుగా భావించి వోకల్ లో దీనిని రి అని పలకటం జరిగి, ఆవిధంగా సరిగమ పదనిస పూర్తి అవుతుంది.  వాద్య సంగీతంలో ఆ సౌకర్యం లేదు.) గా వాడటం జరుగుతుంది.

ధాతు వర్ధని ఉత్తరాంగం, గానమూర్తి గ్రూప్ లోని ధేనుక, మాయామాళవగౌళ, కీరవాణి, సరసాంగి, గాంగేయభూషణి, వరాళి, శుభపంతువరాళి, పంతువరాళి, సింహేంద్రమధ్యమం, లతాంగి, వీటన్నిటి పదనిస లు ఒకటే.

మనం పూర్వాంగంలో ఎక్కువసమయం సంచారం చేస్తే, ఆదిత్యచక్రంలోని ఇతర రాగాలుగానూ, ఉత్తరాంగంలో ఎక్కువ సమయం సంచారం చేస్తే, గానమూర్తి గ్రూప్ లోని రాగాలను వింటున్నట్లుగా అనుభూతి పొందే అవకాశం ఉంది.

ధాతువర్ధని చాల అరుదైన రాగం.  ఉత్తర భారతదేశ హిందూస్థానీ సంగీతం లో అసలే లేదు.  పై ఆడియో వీడియోలో వైబీరావు గాడిద ఈ రాగాన్ని ఉత్తర భారత శైలిలో అంటే హిందూస్థానీ శైలిలో, విలంబిత లయ, ద్రుత లయ,ఝాలా మొ|| వాటిని వినిపించటానికి ప్రయత్నించాడు.  ఈ ఆడియోలో లోపాలేవైనా ఉంటే, అవి వైబీరావు గాడిదవే.  కీర్తిశేషులు మహనీయుడు శ్రీ వేంకటమఖివి కావు.

स्वामी विवेकानंद के १५२ जयंती और युवा दिवस समारोह धूम धाम से माना गया है।  नेता लोग, टीवी छानेल्स, अखबारों ने स्वामी विवेकानंदा को युगपुरुष कहते हुऎ कीर्तन किये।  लेकिन, सच क्या है ,  खोज करने के लिये किसी को श्रध्धा नहीं है।  सच खोज करने के लिये स्वामी विवेकानंद के संपूर्ण रचनाओं को, और उन से लिखा हुआ पत्रों को मॆहनत करके छानना, झारना, छान-बीन करना पडता, मॆहनत करना पडता।  उन को कीर्तन करने को उद्यम शीलता के आवश्यकता नहीं पडेगा। 

స్వామీ వివేకానంద గారి ౧౫౨ వ జన్మదినాన్ని, జాతీయ యువతా దినంగా ధూమ్ ధామ్ గా జరుపుకున్నారు.  ఈ సందర్భంగా పలు సభలు, సభల్లో ఉపన్యాసాలు, నినాదాలు మార్మోగాయి. పత్రికల్లో, టీవీ ఛానెళ్ళలో వివేకానందపై పలు వ్యాసాలు, రూపకాలూ వచ్చాయి.  కానీ స్వామీ వివేకానందగారిని యుగపురుషుడు అని కొనియాడారు.  కానీ స్వామీ వివేకానందా, నిజంగా యుగపురుషుడేనా అని ఆలోచించినవారు లేరు.    ఎందుకంటే, ఏ మఠంవాళ్ళ పుస్తకాన్నో , అనుంగు శిష్యుడు వ్రాసిన జీవిత చరిత్రనో తీసుకుని, దాన్ని ఉబ్బగొడితే బోలెడు మాటర్ దొరుకుతుంది.  అదే సత్యాన్వేషణ చేయాలంటే, చాలా చాకిరీ చేయాలి.  అందరి చేత తిట్లు, అసభ్యమైన భాషలో బూతులు, తినాలి.   వీడెవడో అన్యమత ప్రచారకుడు అని అనుమానాలకు, అవమానాలకు గురి కావాలి.  అయితే వివేకానందస్వామి గురించిన అనుమానాలను వ్యక్తం చేయటానికి అభూత కల్పనలు చేయనవసరం లేదు.  వాటి మూలాలు, ఆయన సంపూర్ణ రచనలలోనే దొరుకుతాయి.  ముఖ్యంగా ఆయన వ్రాసిన లేఖలలోనే దొరుకుతాయి.  మన ఆధునిక స్వాముల వార్లకు ఆది గురువుగా మనం స్వామీ వివేకానందను భావించటానికి ఆస్కారం ఇచ్చే లేఖలు, సంఘటనలు, పరిస్థితులు, ఆయన లేఖలలో కనిపిస్తాయి.  అయితే గుడ్డి భక్తులకు, ఇతర మతాలపై ద్వేషం కారణంగా స్వమతాన్ని శుభ్రం చేసుకోటం పై ఆసక్తి లేని వారికి ఇవి కనిపించవు.  ఒక గాడిదగా నా అభిప్రాయం ఏమిటంటే, ఎవరి మతాలను వారు శుభ్రం చేసుకుంటే బాగుంటుంది.  ఎందుకంటే, ఇతరులు తప్పుపడితే వారిని అనుమానించటం, వారు మతమార్పిడులకు ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నారు అని తిట్టాలనిపిస్తుంది కనుక.  ఇది ఎలాంటిదంటే, ఎవరి ఇంటిని వారు చీపిరితో శుభ్రం చేసుకోటం లాంటిది.  ప్రక్కవాళ్ళు వచ్చి శుభ్రం చేయరు.   బధ్ధకంతో కానీ, ఇతరకారణాల వల్ల కానీ, ఇళ్ళను పలువురు ధనవంతులు పనివాళ్ళతో శుభ్రం చేయించుకోటం జరగచ్చేమో కానీ, మతాలను, కులాలను శుభ్రం చేయటం డబ్బులతో కుదరదు.  కాబట్టి, పూజారులు, పేస్టర్లు, ముల్లాలు, మత వ్యాపక సంస్థలు మొ|| మహనీయులు, కనీసం తమ మతాలకు చెందిన వారు లోపాలను ఎత్తి చూపించినపుడు అవి సత్యమా కాదా అని ఆలోచించి వాటిని సరిదిద్దుకోటంలో నిమగ్నం అయితే బాగుంటుంది.   ఇతర మతాలను ద్వేషించుకోటం అది వేరే విభాగం.  దానికీ స్వమత సంస్కరణకూ సంబంధం లేదు.  స్వమత సంస్కరణలకు, సాంఘిక సంస్కరణలకు అవినాభావ సంబంధం ఉంది.  వీటన్నిటిపై వేయిపేజీల గ్రంధాలు వేయి వ్రాయ వచ్చు.  గాడిదల జీవితాలు సరిపోవు.

This 152nd birthday of Swami Vivekananda, our beloved Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi is not apparently nowadays allocating enough efforts, resources and time to show Swami Vivekananda, on the dais' he speaks.   One twitter message.  One garland to Swami Vivekananda's statue in New Delhi. 

Last year, in every election meeting, or any other dais, wherever Mr. Modi spoke, Swami Vivekananda's picture/cutout was ubiquitous (सार्वत्रिक या सर्वव्यापी).  

Now, Mr. Modi, according to Indian Media and Governments is an International celebrity, on par with or more than, Obama, Putin, Merkel, Hollande, Shibu Abe, and Xi. 

Now there may not be enough space for Gurus, living or deceased, political or spiritual.  The need, now will more be, on NRI, PIO, Fortune 500, most powerful industrialists or top private bankers like Ms. Chanda Kochhar.

Probable reasons, for lower stress on Vivekananda this year, may be:  Vibrant Gujarat dais was not convenient.  US Secretary of State John Kerry was there.  Busy with great arrangements to be made for Obama's Republic Day visit jamboree.   On Delhi election dais' , Mr. Modi may be using Vivekananda pictures.  Anyway, there is a reduced stress on Swami Vivekananda now.


This 'reduced stress on Guru happened even in the  life of Swami Vivekananda.  Initially, Swami Vivekananda used to eulogise his Guruji Ramakrishna Parama Hamsa, everywhere, everyday, every moment, with everybody he spoke.  He tried to collect donations abroad, citing the need for construction of a memorial/temple for his Guru Ramakrishna.  After Swamiji himself became a celebrity in his own right, Swamiji had no alternative except to eulogise himself.  One or two examples from his life will give this suggestion:  One: In Almorah, during Vivekananda's last years, when his disciple Mr. Savior wanted to give prominence to Ramakrishna's photoframe, Swamiji apparently persuaded him not to.  Second:  When Brahmananda wanted to worship Ramakrishna Paramahamsa following traditional ways, probably he Vivekananda wanted to save money, Swami Vivekananda wrote to him that tulasi water may do.  But the same Vivekananda did not hesitate to send hundreds of dollars/pounds to Ms. Christina Greenstidel, to enable her to come to India, in higher class on a ship, and also ask her to spend the money as she liked, if she could not come to India.

స్వామీజీ సెలబ్రిటీ అయినాక, అంటే జీవితం రెండో భాగంలో, ఆల్మోరాలో, ఆయన యూరోపియన్ శిష్యుడు  సేవియర్ గారు తన ఇంటిలో శ్రీరామకృష్ణుడి చిత్రపటాన్ని పెట్టాలని ప్రయత్నిస్తే స్వామీజీ నిరుత్సాహ పరిచినట్లు ఆయన జీవిత చరిత్ర వ్రాసిన ఒక శిష్యురాలు వ్రాసినట్లు కనిపిస్తున్నది.  ఇది నిజం కాకపోతే పాఠకులు నన్ను సరిదిద్దచ్చు.

స్వామీజీ సహశిష్యుడు స్వామి బ్రహ్మానందకు (ఈయననే రాఖాల్ అంటారు, వివేకానంద గారు అమెరికాలో డబ్బులు పోగుచేస్తున్న కాలంలో శ్రీరామకృష్ణ మఠాన్ని బ్రహ్మానంద నడిపారు. ) వ్రాసిన లేఖలో రామకృష్ణుడిని ఆరాధించటానికి తులసినీళ్ళు సరిపోవా అని ప్రశ్నించారు (డబ్బులు ఖర్చవుతాయని).  ఇదే వివేకానందుడు, క్రిస్టినా గ్రీన్ స్టైడల్ అనే యువతికి కొన్ని వందల డాలర్లు (పౌండ్లు) డబ్బు పంపి ఆమెను నౌకలో ఎగువ తరగతిలో భారత్ కు రమ్మని ప్రార్ధించారు.  ఒకవేళ రాలేకపోతే, ఆ డబ్బులను నీ ఇష్టం వచ్చినట్లు ఖర్చు చేసుకోమని చెప్పారు.  ఆ అమ్మాయి వచ్చింది.  కానీ ఆమెను బేలూరు మఠంలో ఉంచకుండా, దాదాపు రహస్యంగా, ఆల్మోరాలో సేవియర్ గారి కుటుంబంతో ఉంచారనుకోండి.

Swamiji, during his last year, proudly wrote to Ms. Christina Greenstidel, that they sacrificed a goat during Durga Pooja.  (This might have taken place outside the Math.)

స్వామీజీ తన చరమ దినాలలో క్రిస్టీనా గ్రీన్ స్టైడల్ గారికి తాము దుర్గపూజ సందర్భంగా టపాకాయలు కాల్చామనీ, ఒక మేకను బలిచ్చామని, సానందంగానా, వ్రాశారు.

Further search on this subject indicated that Sarada Mayi (w/o Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa ) discouraged the practice of sacrificing goats in Math, and started a practice of offering banana fruits to God(dess).

ఈ విషయం పై ఇంకా పరిశోధిస్తే, శ్రీరామకృష్ణ మఠంలో దుర్గపూజకి మేకలను బలిచ్చే ఆచారానికి స్వస్తి చెప్పించింది శ్రీమతి శారదామాయి (శ్రీ రామకృష్ణ పరమహంస గారి, దాదాపు నిరక్షరాస్య సతీమణి).  మఠంలో అరటి పండ్లను నైవేద్యం పెట్టి ప్రసాదంగా ఇచ్చే పధ్ధతిని ఆమె ప్రవేశ పెట్టారుట.  ఏది ఏమైతేనేమి, అనుగ్రహం కోసం దుర్గామాతకు అమాయక ప్రాణులను బలి ఇవ్వకూడదు, అని వేద వేదాంగవిదుడు, జాతిని అమాంతంగా పైకి లేవనెత్తిన కీర్తిని పొందిన వివేకానందుడికి తెలియని, లేక తెలిసినా ఆచరించని దాన్ని, అబల శ్రీమతి శారదామాయి ఎంత చక్కగా ఆకళింపు చేసుకుని ఆచరణలోకి తెచ్చింది.
