To undergo emotions, enthusiasm, getting impressed by festivals, is of course a matter of personal choice. Hence we shall not touch it.

Personally, I view the World Cultural Festival organised by the Art of Living Foundation (AOLF) on Yamuna River, as just a bourgeoisie extravaganza. What is so much great in mopping up funds world-wide making rhetorical speeches and presentations to persons who do not apply their minds, and throw away the funds on Colorful Lights, Laser shows, dresses and group dances. It only serves as a Deviator to divert the attention of Poor Indians who eke out a life of precarious existence in their effort to get two square meals. It is also worth noting at this juncture, that Central Government seems to have released a grant of Rs. 25 million for this extravaganza, apart from sending Defence Forces to erect structures on the Yamuna River.

The goal of this Festival appears to be, to boost the personal prestige of ShriShri Ravishankar.

Shri Venkaiah Naidu, does not seem to have studied in depth the Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda. Most of the quotes and Swami Vivekananda are just preachings, intended for others to follow, and NOT FOR HIMSELF. I have spent nearly two years studying deeply into the Complete Works. I have had mixed feelings, after writing 278 blog posts, with the help of the Complete Works. I felt that I had wasted my time. I also felt that the study has opened my eyes.



I only wish that Mr. Venkaiah Naidu cares to study the Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda IN DEPTH , whenever he finds time. I do not think he will care to. If somebody tells him about our blog, he can at least check up what has been written by me at my Vivekanandayb.blogspot.com, whether they are correct or not. If I have gone wrong, he can always correct me. I welcome my readers also to correct me, after giving me an opportunity to explain the things.

The Home Ministry is reported to have sent a bill to the Punjab Government, for supporting them with Central Forces, to clear the Terrorists who seized the Pathankot Airforce Station. It is very very very unreasonable. It is the duty of the Central Government to help the States, particularly those States which are situated on our borders, and face frequent Terrorist threats, to provide the Central support FREE OF COST, and IRRESPECTIVE OF WHETHER THEY REQUEST FOR SUCH HELP OR NOT.. Mr. Narendra Modi, when he was Chief Minister of Gujarat, claimed that he could not control 2002 Gujarat Riots and the mass killings, because the Central Government and the neighboring States have not sent him timely support. Now, Mr. Modi should show some empathy and sympathy towards the suffering States, and help them with FREE SUPPORT for the Armed Forces sent. Sending Bills for sending the forces will be a cruel joke ! This type of cruel jokes , Lord Wellesly played in British Era. Now, are we in Britain?

Shall we hope, that Ministry of Defence, will charge the AOL Foundation, for sending the Defence Personnel to build temporary bridges etc. on Yamuna River.

692 Part 2 of AOL jatra on the Yamuna River. Is anything new which Mr. Shri Shri Ravishankar is going to tell us, which he has not preached during the last 35 years?

Srisri Ravishankar, revered by our President Pranab Mukherjee, PM Mr. Narendra Modi, Late Former President Abdul Kalam, born in 1956, has been preaching since many years. His Art of Living Foundation was created in 1981. That means, he has been lecturing for the last 35 years. The subject of Spirituality has limited scope and limited utility, as per this ybrao-a-donkey's humble view. Of course, Shri Shri Ravishankarji may have been making Great Great (Double Shri Shri = Double Great) discourses during the last 35 years. Though generalisation may not be correct, our past experience shows that the common thread running through all the preachings of most God persons is "compassion, stress-relief, societal problems, Universal brotherhood, love and peace". For giving this small message there should normally be no need to organise large jamborees spending millions / billions of public money, whether received by Gurudev through global donations, INdian donations, or grants by Government of India, and the various State Governments.

After National Green Tribunal, levied a fine of Rs. 50 million on his AOL Foundation for violating environmental guidelines, Shri Ravishankar is reported to have commented:

"... We have not done anything wrong. We have been taintless and will remain so. We we will go to jail but not pay a penny. ..."

For all his so-called service, he is reputed to have received awards from countries like Brazil's Tiradentes Medal, Paraguay's National Order of Merito de Comuneros, Peru's Medalla de la Integracion en el Grado de Gran Oficial (Grand Officer), Colombia's Orden de la Democracia Simon Bolivar, and of course, Padma VibhUshaN from the Govt. of India.

His imparting Sudarshan Kriya, which he claims to have learnt on his own, sitting for 10 days on the banks of Bhadra River in Shimoga (Karnataka State, India), we shall appreciate.

The real question which should haunt every Indian is, the WASTE OF RESOURCES-- financial, human, time, media, power (electricity), energy (fuels for aircraft, luxury cars etc.), in the conduct of this three days carnival / jumborie / jAtara / tirunALLa ?

All this waste of resources, just for telling the same old things, which our Shri Shri gAru has been repeating for the last 35 years.

We should wonder and go into a hilarious coma, if our Gurudev is going to comes out with any thing fresh and breezy, other than the run-of-the-mill Universal Love, Brotherhood and Peace.

As long as there are poor countries and rich countries, as long as there are poor people and rich people, as long as there are lazy fellows and toilers in drudgery, spirituality can never blossom.

I hope (may be an unfulfil-able fantasy), when proletariat establishes a Truly Socialist society, parasitic lazy fellows will be shown some toiling work, and the hitherto-toilers will be given some relief from drudgery.
