My father is a cricket aficianado. I am neutral towards TVs, Sports and Cricket. They are not my top priority. My first priority is always Poverty and Total Socialism, and near-Equalisation of the Society, though absolute equalisation is not possible.

Back to TV. On 15.11.2015 (yesterday) from around 6pm to 8pm, I was for family reasons, compelled to sit before TV. I saw SVBC channel "nAda nIrAjanam" [nIrAjanam = Showing worshipful lights to something in reverance. nAda= (musical) sound).]. The program on the channel at that moment was a Bharata nAtyam dance recital by Ms.... Vaidyanathan & her troop. It was a great audio-visual delight.
One additional reason why I like nAda nIrAjanam (hereafter I say NN) is at some point or other in the programs, we can get a fusion of the North Indian Music (Hindusthani Music) and the South Indian Music (CarnATic Music). Whenever I watch NN search for the incidences of such fusions.
One such piece is "Mishr KhamAj" in "triSra naDa", titled tumaku calatu rAmachandra. Singer of the Recital, and the accompanyists, particularly the violinist, produced a great AlAp. Let their tribe prosper as long as the sun, moon and stars last in this Universe lasts, probably this Universe itself lasts. Now, it is possible because, everything they sing is preserved in digital form, across the world on thousands of servers and node computers.
The masterpiece of the dance recital of Ms. Vaidyanathan was the daSAvatArams (Ten incarnations of Lord VishNu), depiction of a composition of JayadEv called "jayadEvuni ashTapadi", titled "praLaya payOdhi jale dhruta vA nasi vEdam" (Starts with the fish incarnation of Lord VishNu, saying "In the midst of apocalypsical waters, you have in the incarnation of Fish, rescued the vEdas from their submersion" and ends with the last and the tenth incarnation of VishNu called Kalki, who rescues the "virtuosity" (dharma) from the clutches of "Wrongfulness" (adharma). This particular daSAvatAram performance by Ms. Vaidyanathan started with the early morning rAga vibhAs (with antara gandhAram) and bhUpAlam (with sAdhAraNa gandhAram) for the pisces, with the tune changing for every incarnation. I was just trying to guess what rAga the singer would sing in (for?) the next incarnation. There was amrita varshiNi, kalyANi and bhUpALI (these are must everywhere, along with hindOLam. I am unable to trace having heard hindOLam in this set of ten incarnations. But, delightfully there is an amrit varshiNI, and kAnaDa (I recall that it is for the Kalki incarnation). I hoped for the tune "kAFi" (some say that it should be "kApI". కాఫీ (కాపీ అసలు పేరు కాపీ రాగంట. దురదృష్టం కొద్దీ తెలుగులో కాపీ అనే ఆంగ్ల పదం దిగుమతి అయి పరీక్షల్లో కాపీ కొట్టటం, హాలీవుడ్ బాలీవుడ్ సినిమా లను కాపీ కొట్టటం, ఇలా నకారాత్మక అర్ధం రూఢిగా తయారయింది.) రాగం లేదని నేను కొంత బాధ పడ్డాను. అయితే దశావతారాల్లో కేవలం పదికే అవకాశం. పాపం నా కాఫీకి చోటు దొరకలేదు. There are all great pieces of audio-visual delights.
One problem with the alien cultures (I do not use the word alien religions though that may probably describe the correct scenario), is they look condescendingly down towards whatever is Indian culture (Here we cannot use the word "Indian Religion" or "Hindu Religion" because there are no such things as such). The West despises Indian Culture as something worthy of condemnation as if "polytheism, idol-worship, nature worship including plant and animal worship" as things worthy of nothing except condemnation. This biased view of the West itself needs condemnation. The greatest merit of the Indian Culture is its Pluralism, co-existence of different sub-cultures, occasionally uniting and occasionally fighting. Though there are some big pitfalls in this method which has emerged out of historical compulsions owing to colonialisations, invasions, and migrations from outside, particularly the North West, especially the North Europe (Aryan Migration to India) and the West Asia (Arabia, Turkish and Mongolian invasions), as a bye-product it has given to India the advantage of entwining of sub-cultures, with occasional entanglements.

This dasAvatAra (ten incarnations), Aryans seems to have INCULCATED from Jainism (I cannot use the word "borrowed / copied" as there will be a hue and cry from somebody who may be hurt.). For this reason only, probably, though Early Aryans who migrated to India from Latvia Lithuania Old Prussia Denmark Holland Balkans North Sea area including Scandinavia were very much concerned about the WHITE COLOR OF THEIR BODIES , Shri Rama (7th incarnation) and Shri Krishna (8th incarnation) were accepted in spite of their "BLACK COMPLEXION." TV 9 Channel SWAMI SAMPOORNANANDENDRA'S INTERVIEW
Thereafter I saw on TV9 channel an interview by name "Swami SwaroopAnandEndra tO mukhAmukhi". बाद मे मै देखा, टीवी छानॆल पर, एक इंटर्व्यू "स्वामी स्वरूपानंदेंद्र स्वामी से मुखामुखी" . తరువాత నేను టీవీ ౯ ఛానెల్ లో , స్వామీ స్వరూపానందేంద్ర స్వామిగారితో ముఖాముఖి అనే ఇంటర్వ్యూని చూశాను.
నేను ఈ ఇంటర్వ్యూని టీవీ ౯ లో చూసినపుడు, మొట్టమొదట నాకు కలిగిన అనుమానమేమిటంటే, ఇది నిజమైన ఇంటర్వ్యూనా లేక పేరడీయా, అని. పేరడీ అంటే నా ఉద్దేశం, ఈ మధ్య కొన్ని చానెల్స్ లో ప్రసారం అవుతున్నట్లుగా కొన్ని వీడియో దృశ్యాలను తీసుకుని, వాటి మీద మిమిక్రీ చేసిన ఆడియో డైలాగులను సూపర్ ఇంపోజ్ చేసి, కొంత హాస్యాన్ని పుట్టించటంలో సఫలీ కృతులు కాకపోటం. డబ్బింగ్ సినిమాల్లో లాగా పెదవులకు శబ్దాలకు మధ్య సింక్రొనైజేషన్ మిస్ అయిందేమో అని పరిశీలనగా చూసాను. కొంత సమయం గడిచాక ఇది లైవ్ కాకపోయినా, ప్రీ రికార్డెడే అయినా, ఇది అసలయినదే, కానీ దృశ్యాలను పరిమిత సమయంలో కి ఇమడ్చటానికి, వేగంగా నడిపించటానికి వాటిని వెంటవెంట వచ్చేలాగా మధ్య ఉండే సహజమైన గ్యాప్ (ఖాళీలను ) కత్తిరించారేమో నని పించింది. అందుకనే కొంత అతవేగ పూరితమైన దూకుడు కనిపించింది. స్వామీజీ వ్యక్తం చేసిన భావాలను విశ్లేషించటానికి, నాబోటి గాడిదకు వేయి పేజీలు చాలవు. I may need about a 1000 pages to disect all the views expressed by Swamiji. Some of the views definitely are pseudo-Hindutva category.
The video of the TV9 Swaroopanandendra interview 15.11.2015 is not available at TV9.com or at Youtube.com. There is a need to study it in depth, before anything is written on it. We cannot ignore him and his views, because there are very large number of his followers who adore him.
One observation which struck me when I saw the interview on the TV channel yesterday: Swamiji has a "Utapadam":- "sarva sanga parityAgini nEnu (parityAginaina nEnu)" which in English approximately means "I, who is an all-attachment-complete-relisher".
For the Telugu word "Uta padam", I forgot its English equivalent, though I have come across it earlir many times. A Google Translate http://https://translate.google.com/#te/en/%E0%B0%8A%E0%B0%A4%E0%B0%AA%E0%B0%A6%E0%B0%82 gave me the word "Profanity" but I feel it has a negative connotation. The word "Profanity" has got its Hindi equivalents like "gAli गाली, धर्म-निंदा, ईश-निंदा". What I mean, we commonly mean in Telugu language by the word "Uta padam" is: that word should have become a sort of OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) i.e. the person cannot speak few sentences without using the particular word. In other words, it is a habitual addiction to the use of the particular word, "uta padam". In Telugu the word "Uta" means "support, crutch". "padam" means word. Just as some physically challenged persons cannot walk without supports, the idea-challenged persons cannot speak even a few sentences without the crutch word. For ybrao (this blogger) ybrao-a-donkey is the crutch word.
Back to the crutch-word of Swamiji, "sarva sanga parityAgi", 'sarva' means 'all'. 'sanga' means attachment(s). tyAgi = relinquisher. The prefix "pari" is an intensification adjective, adds to the strength of its object noun.

Most Swamijis seem to have a feeling by wearing ochre robes, wearing different types of vermillon marks, by not entering into marital relationships, they have got rid of all the attachments ("sangA")s. It is a fallacy. Nothing goes.
Monks, particularly the Indian Monks have a habit of referring to things which they cannot explain, as "God's decisions". No such things as God's decisions, Human's decisions.
The interview has also brought to light the differences persisting among SmArtas, Shaivas, Vaikhana VaishNavas, pAncharAtra VaishNavas. I have already said that we need about a 1000 pages to discuss these things raised by Swamiji.
One thing about which I am certain is: Swami SwaroopAnandEndra seems to be greatly worried about religion conversions which are going on into alien religions.
Government of India should address to this serious problem of the exploitative conversion of gullible, illiterate, ignorant, poor, financially and socially-illtreated classes and persons by the foreign and Indian Religious Missionaries (mercinaries or merchants!!!), whom I call are worse than the European SLAVE TRADERS of the Middle Ages.
GOI should immediately pass an Anti Conversion Law, after consulting the Opposition Parties. Of course, Opposition Parties will initially object because of Vote Bank Politics. They also view the Politics of BJP with suspicion, because BJP Politics is as INSINCERE as the Pseudo-Secular politics of the Congress, and Lalu-Mulayam Brigades. Any delays in passing an Anti-Conversion Law will change the composition of Indian Population and affect the integrity and unity of India in an irreparable manner. Pope may object. Archbishop of Canterbury may object. Obama and his successors may object. But saving India's integrity and unity is more important than satisfying Bishops, Popes, Obamas, Khalifas, Shaiks and Sultans.
Though RELIGIOUS FREEDOM is enshrined as a fundamental right in our Constitution, that right is being misused by alien missionaries, and Indian missionaries financed heavily by alien Religious Propagators from North America, Europe, Saudi Arabia, UAE etc. Constitutional Rights must be protected. At the same time we should prevent their misuse by Religion Brokers and Merchants.
The TV9 interview "Swami SwaroonandEndra tO mukhAmukhi" appeared to be a "PAID-INTERVIEW". The manner in which it was carried out, gave me an impression, may be an erroneous interview, that the whole interview was a "PAID ADVERTISEMENT" without disclosing that "IT IS AN ADVERTISEMENT". There is another Telugu TV Channel, which also seems to specialise in this type of Paid Advertisements, without disclosing that they are being paid for the interview. Press Media, everybody knows, does not lag behind in paid camouflaged advertisements and paid news. These things serve as Saraswati (Goddess of Learning" becoming the slave of Goddess Lakshmi (Goddess of Wealth). ahO batA.!!!
third item: KOTI DIPOTSAVAM FESTIVAL OF 10 MILLION LAMPS ON BHAKTI TV, ADDRESSED TO BY LEARNED SCHOLAR GARIKAPATI NARASIMHA RAO
The third item I saw on TV on the fateful 15.11.15 evening, is N TV or Bhakti TV, a kOTi dIpOtsavam (A festival of 10 million clarified butter fuelled lamps (not our usual Electric lights) ). Shri Garikapati Narasimha Rao, a Discourse-maker (pravacana karta) is the principal speaker. He has a great knack (compulsion in this Capitalist World) of praising the sponsor i.e. the Bhakti Channel. After all, they are the pay-masters. nAgula caviti (Festival of Serpant Worship, on the 4th Descending Lunar night of the kArtika lunar month) coincided with the 10 million lamp festival. Just as there can be two sides for a coin, there are two sides for the 10 million lamp festival also.
Merits. First merit: It will be better, if people instead of spending ther evenings in PUBs and returning home after getting their pockets/wallets (combined word I coined: pollets) emptied , in an inebriated condition, it will be better they go home with something which is less harmful.
Second Merit The 10 million lamp festival is an audio visual delight.
Demerits. First demerit. India is a poor country. There is scarcity of edible oils, and clarified butter. We are importing them. We cannot afford to waste.
Second demerit. Many youthful persons are found among the audiences and participants, with beaming faces. They seem to be neglecting their studies. In this world of cut-throat competition for educational seats, Govt. jobs, Corporate cushy plushy jobs, every minute is important. Instead of acquiring skills needed by employers, the youth seem to be acquiring some skills which cannot be converted into livelihood security.
Shri Garikapati Narasimha Rao presented his views in a pleasant manner. Yet, some of the views do not stand to the test of reason. These things, we shall take up in forthcoming blogposts.
LITERARY DELIGHT Shri Narasimha Rao recited a worse about the Greatest Snake God "Ananta - AdisEsha" from UdankOpAkhyAnam of Nannaya's Mahabharatam Telugu translation of the Epic.
This is a set of four verses. Shri Narasimha Rao recited only the first verse, relating to sEsh nAg. The other three relate to the Snake King vAsuki, all the snakes in general as a class, the Snake king "takshaka" who stole the ring of Paushya's wife, which Udanka's Guru's wife sought. Udanka was praying takshaka for return of the ring.
I reproduce the four verses of Nannaya for the literary delight of our readers. English gist I shall render later, whenever possible.
నన్నయ భారతం 1/1/104 చంపకమాల
బహువనపాదపాబ్ధికులపర్వతపూర్ణ సరస్సరస్వతీ bahuvana padapAbdhi kulaparvata saras sarasvatI
సహితమహీభర మజస్రసహస్రఫణాళిఁ దాల్చి దు sahita mahIbharam ajasra sahasra phaNALi dAlci du-

English Gist: This verse is directed to the praise of God Adi SEsha. This God is thousand headed-hooded. According to legends and faith, he serves as the inseparable bed of Lord VishNu, on which he reclines his feet massaged by Goddess Lakshmi (Goddess of Wealth). The bed is in an Ocean of Milk. Additional attribute of Lord Ananta (Ananta means Endless and Infinite): He bears the burden of this Earth, along with Eight elephants in the Eight directions of East, South-East, South etc. DushkritAntakuDu means destroyer of evil-doers. prasannuDayyeDun means, he shall become graceful and delightful towards us.
నన్నయ భారతం 1/1/105 చంపకమాల
అరిది తపోవిభూతి నమరారుల బాధలు వొందకుండఁగా aridi tapO vibhUti amarArula bAdhalu vonda kunDagAn

English Gist the Snake-king vAsuki is the jewel adorning the neck of Lord Shiva. VAsuki has the credit of protecting all the Snakes form Demons. He is a Great leader of Great Snakes.

దేవమనుష్యలోకములఁ ద్రిమ్మరుచున్ విపులప్రతాపసం dEva manushya lOkamula drimmarucun vipula pratApa sam-

శ్రోత్రవిభుండు తక్షకుడు శూరుడు మాకు ప్రసన్నుడయ్యెడున్. SrOtra vibhumDu takshakuDu SUruDu mAku prasannuDayyeDun.
English Gist This verse praises the Snake Chieftain takshaka. He moves in Forest Groves. He moves in Kuru kshEtra (the battle Ground of Pandavas and Kauravas, now a pilgrim Centre in Hariyana). He revolves around (tours around) the world. His great strengths are being praised by Udanka, because he wants to claim back the lost ring which Takashaka took away, when Udanka was attending to his nature's call.
