1009 (Part 1/10) Lenin's book "The State and Revolution" needs a RELOOK-INTO.

In the Context of the Centenary Year of the Bolshevik Revolution 1917 (Also called October Revolution 1917) in the Russian History, one short book of just 73 pages, which can be freely downloaded at Marxists.org is worth reading. The Article has quite a large number of quotes from the "State and the Revolution" by Lenin, and the Essayist's observations, many of which are reasonable when viewed from a 2017 Environment. Of course, we all of us are, lettered and thinking individuals, with individual freedoms to think and express in the way we like.

In my youth, and early middle age, I used to be a great Admirer of Lenin, his being the first person to have tried to 'reproduce in action' the precepts of Karl Marx and Frederic Engels. It is the case of "Great Expectations" which ought not to have been hoped for from Pioneers of Movements.

What has particularly disappointed me, in Lenin's Administration?

I thought that Lenin would implement the Communism / Marxism / Socialism (or whatever Marx and Engels have advocated / dreamed of), in its true spirit, at least substantially. But it did not happen.

Example

I thought that Lenin would completely nationalise Agriculture, and make into a State Enterprise, in which peasants, agricultural workers, landlords (kulaks) of the pre-revolution days will be Employees of Equal Pay and Equal Rank. I expected that both the profits and risks/losses from agriculture would go to the State. But, it didn't seem to have happened. Instead, he had introduced a system of targets of production to peasants, and purchase of their produce at State stipulated prices. That meant, the risks of agriculture, he had asked the farmers to bear. Though theoretically, the peasants could keep with them the production made by them in excess of State-imposed targets, that could never have happened because targets were too steep, and unattainable even in the best of Crop Years.

This system might have helped the Urban Organised Labor, the 'Blue Eyed Boys' of the Soviet Dictators, by providing them cheap agri-products procured from the peasants and supplied by the State, at the cost of peasants.

Can you correlate this to what is happening now (2017) in India, and some other countries, including some European countries?

Ans; Though ostensibly there are some benefits intended to come to rescue of farmers, such as Crop Insurance, Minimum Support Price Mechanism, Construction and Maintenance of Market Yards, Ever-rising prices of Agri-Inputs in spite of Input Subsidy Schemes etc., the most important missing element continues to be RISK MANAGEMENT which the small and marginal farmers are ill-equipped to handle. These risks are of myriad types such as vicissitudes and vagaries of monsoons, pests, excess domestic production, dumped imports at prices less than the domestic costs of production, from overactive exporting countries under the pretext of commitments to WTO-GATT and Free Trade Agreements, to name a few. The problems of small and marginal farmers are compounded by their inability to keep their produce(s) at home till prices change in their favor. Consequently, they are forced to sell their produce at below-cost prices, while hoarders and blackmarketeers who purchase from the peasants pocket super profits arising out of upward price changes.

One major difference we can see between the conditions of the Euro-American-ANZ farmers, and the Indian farmers, is that EurAmANZ farmers do not commit suicides, whereas Indian farmers commit suicides regularly, harassed and abetted by Private money lenders. Another important difference is, in India, we have millions of 'oral-tenant farmers' that is their leases are not rendered into writing by means of lease agreements with land-owners. That means we get three types of farmers:

1) 'On paper-farmers' and 'Real Farmers'. On paper-farmers (Absentee Landlords) collect all the benefits which Governments extend to farmers from States' and Central Exchequer. In this class, we get Government Employees, Private Executives, Professionals, Politicians, et al., apart from genuine Land-Lords who cultivate lands with tractors and machinery.
2) Real farmers (oral tenants who are not recognised by State) are left to their fate.
3) Mixed- farmers: Marginal farmers who own very small pieces of land say less than 2.5 acres which they themselves cultivate, and to support their livelihood, they take on oral leases additional, say 3 or 4 acres o land to supplement their activity.

This is a 1000 page subject, though even if I write the 1000 pages, nobody will read. This is the first of the 10 parts series, which I intend to write.

973 (Part 1/10) 200th Birth Year of Karl Marx, commencing from today. Some studious musings

200th Birth Year of Karl Marx, philosopher and the propounder of the Theory of Marxism / Communism is on the offing now. We are already going through the Centenary of the October 1917 Revolution (Bolshevik Revolution in Russia). One happy thing about Mr. Vladimir Putin is that, he does not make pretentions of being a fan or a follower of Karl Marx, just as Indian Politicians who make pretentions of being Great Disciples of Babasaheb Ambedkar, whose 125th Birth Anniversary has recently been celebrated with great gaiety. Of course, right now, the People Russia itself, do not appear to have much interest in Marx or Lenin.

Maoist Terrorist Groups in India

There are Terrorist Groups in India who swear on Marx and Mao, but who do not believe in either Marx or Mao. As labels are necessary to impress people, Maoists use the Communist Flags, literature, and names. For that matter, even Mao himself did not believe in Karl Marx. All those things are important for the World Today , though there is not a single country which is sincerely committed to Communism / Marxism / True Complete Socialism, because though modern gadgets, tools, equipment-s are ubiquitous everywhere, Working Class people are still suffering drudgeries and slaveries. We can find the severest drudgeries and slaveries, in densely populated lands like China, India, Indonesia, Bangla Desh, Pakisthan, Brazil, Mexico etc. United States, Canada, ANZ, and Europe want to build walls to prevent influx of immigrants from densely populated lands. The (said to be) dream of Karl Marx, envisaging the Unity of the World's Working Class cannot materialise as long as the Working Classes of the Developed World are not willing to treat their brothren from the Underdeveloped World and the Developing World. Besides the 'White' Working Class is not willing to accept 'Black' Working Class as their brethren, though this remark may appear to be Racialist, but Facts and Truths tend to hurt and remain unpalatable.

The points raised by Shri Vuppala Narasimham in Andhra Jyothy Newspaper dated 5.5.2017 (link given above), are worth analysing threadbare. This aspect, we shall take up in our forthcoming blogposts. In the meantime, my Readers will probably agree: Three things are definite.

The first is, Maoists cannot bring true total socialism. They only contribute to anarchy and terrorism.

The second is: The bourgeoisie State and bourgeoisie Leaders are too inert and too disinclined to find out lasting solutions for the sufferings of tribals, small and marginal farmers, agricultural laborers, unorganised sector workers, tiny cottage artisans, and cart and foot-path vendors, shop clerks etc. etc .

The third is : We have to find fast and lasting solutions for the problems of INEQUALITIES OF INCOME AND WEALTH, AND THE DRUDGERIES AND SLAVERIES of millions, without deviating from democracy, and without resorting to oppressions and repressions.

కార్ల్ మార్క్స్ గెలిచాడు- అంటున్నారు ఆయన ఏమి చెప్పాడేమిటి?

ఆయనేం చెప్తాడు లేండి పాపం, ఉన్న మాటే అన్నాడు. మానవ సంబంధాలన్ని ఆర్ధిక సంబంధాలే నన్నాడు.

తెలంగాణ, కోస్తాంధ్ర, రాయలసీమ సోదరుల మధ్య సంబంధాలన్ని ఆర్ధిక సంబంధాలని మీ అభిప్రాయమా?

సోదరులు అనే మాట, నూతన సంవత్సర శుభాకాంక్షలు Wish you happy new year లాగా అతిగా వాడబడి అరిగి పోయింది. కొందరు యువకులు ఏ సినిమాలో అంటించుకున్నారో గానీ, కనిపించిన ప్రతి వాళ్ళనీ పరిచయం ఉన్న వాళ్ళైనా, లేనివాళ్ళైనా, అంకుల్ అనో, ఆంటీ అనో పిలుస్తూ ఉంటారు. ఈపిలుపుల్లో నిజాయితీ, సీరియస్ నెస్ ఉండదు.

ప్రపంచ రాజ్యాలైయినా, భారతదేశమైనా, తెలుగు గడ్డ అయినా, మానవ ప్రవర్తనను నిర్దేశించేది పెట్టుబడి దారీ విధానం. తన నీడను ఏవ్యక్తైనా, ఎలా తప్పించుకోలేడో, అలాగే పెట్టుబడి దారీ విధానాన్ని ఎవరూ అతిక్రమించలేరు.

తెలుగు జాతి మనది, నిండుగ వెలుగజాతి మనది, వంటి పాటలు కేవలం భావావేశ సంజనితాలే తప్ప సమాజపు నగ్న సత్యాలకు ప్రతి బింబాలు కావు.

మనం పట్టించుకోం గానీ, మనలో కనీసం నాలుగు రకాల వ్యక్తులు ఉన్నారు.

మెదడు వీరులు. మెదడు పరిసరాలను, వాతావరణాన్ని, పరిశీలించి మనకు దిశా నిర్దేశం చేస్తూ ఉంటుంది. మెదడు తన తెలివి తేటలను ఉపయోగించి ఇది చేయి, అది చేయద్దు అని చెప్తూ ఉంటుంది. మెదడువీరులు కేవలం మెదడు మాటలే వింటారు. హృదయం చెప్పేదాన్ని పట్టించుకోరు.

సాంకేతికంగా ఆలోచిస్తే హృదయం అని మనం భావించే గుండెకాయ (heart) రక్తాన్ని శరీరం నుండి పంపు చేసుకొని ఊపిరితిత్తులకు పంపించి, ఆక్సిజన్ తో శుధ్ధి చేయించి, వెనక్కు తెచ్చుకుని తిరిగి ఆపాదమస్తకం శరీర భాగాలకు పంపించే ఒక గొప్ప పంపు మాత్రమే. కానీ తాత్వికులు, ఈ హృదయానికి దయ, ప్రేమ, కృతజ్ఞత, సానుభూతి (sympathy, empathy) వంటి ఉదాత్తమైన గుణాలను అంటగట్టారు.

హృదయవీరులు మెదడు చెప్పే దాన్ని పట్టించుకోరు. తమకు ఉండే దయ, ప్రేమ, కృతజ్ఞత, సానుభూతి (sympathy, empathy) వంటి ఉదాత్తమైన గుణాలు అందరికీ ఉండాలని ఆశిస్తారు. పెట్టుబడి దారీ విధానం మనపై విధించే పరిమితులను గుర్తుంచుకోరు. తమ భావావేశంలో తాము కొట్టుకు పోటమే తప్ప, లోకరీతులను గమనించరు. కవులు మనకి హృదయవీరులలో అగ్రగణ్యులు. వారు వ్రాసే కవితలు , పద్యాలు, కొంతకాలం ప్రజలను పెట్టుబడిదారీ వాస్తవాలను, తమ రాగ ద్వేషాలను మరచి పోయేలాగ చేస్తుంది. ఆసమయంలో, ప్రజలు మెదడు ఇచ్చే సలహాలను వినిపించుకోకుండా, హృదయం చెప్పినట్లుగా నడచు కుంటూ, పోరాటాలు చేస్తారు. త్యాగాలు చేస్తారు. కొన్నిసార్లు ప్రాణాలనే అర్పించుతారు.

నేతలు మెదడు వీరులు, సామాన్యప్రజలు హృదయవీరులు అయితే పలు సమస్యలు తలెత్తుతా యి. ప్రస్తుతం, సీమాంధ్ర, తెలంగాణలో జరుగుతున్నది ఇదే.

అయితే లోకంలో 100% మెదడు వీరులు గానీ, 100% హృదయవీరులు గానీ ఉండటం చాలా అరుదు.

మూడవ రకం వారు, 70% మెదడు వీరులు, 30% హృదయవీరులు. వీరులు ఎక్కువగా వ్యాపార తత్వం కలిగి, అప్పుడప్పుడు భావావేశాలు కలిగి, చందాలు అవీ ఇస్తు ఉంటారేమో కానీ,ప్రాధమికంగా ఎత్తులు, జిత్తులు, వీరి సహజ స్వభావం.

నాలుగవ రకంవారు, 40% మెదడు, 60% హృదయం, ఉండి భావావేశాల పాలు ఎక్కువ. కనుక వీరిని మంచి ఐడియాలతో ఉత్సాహపరచ కలిగినప్పుడు సత్ఫలితాలను రాబట్ట కలుగుతాము. గాంధీ గారు లక్షల మంది భారతీయులను లాఠీ దెబ్బలను తినగలిగేలాగా, జైళ్ళలో నూనె గానుగలను తిప్పే లాగా, మండుటెండలే రాళ్ళు పగలగొట్టేలాగా చేయగలిగింది, ఈనైపుణ్యంతోనే.

ద్వేషంతో కూడిన భావాలతో వారి మస్తిష్కాలను కిర్రెక్కించినప్పుడు, దుష్ ఫలితాలను రాబట్ట కలుగుతాము . కెసిఆర్&కో, కోదండరాం &కో తెలంగాణ యువకులను ఉద్రేకపరచి ట్యాంకుబండుపై విగ్రహాలను పడకొట్టించిందీ, వందలమంది యువకులచేత ఆత్మ హత్యలు చేసుకునేలాగా ప్రేరేపించింది, ఈనైపుణ్యంతోనే.

తెలుగు వాళ్ళలో అత్యధికులు నాలుగో రకం అని వేరుగా చెప్ప నవసరంలేదు.

ఇక్కడ, ఆచార్య రాయప్రోలు సుబ్బారావు గారు, నాలుగు ప్రాంతాలకీ గొప్ప గొప్ప ఉదాహరణలు ఇచ్చారు. అమరావతి, దక్షిణ కోస్తా. ఓరుగల్లు, తెలంగాణ. విద్యా నగరం, రాయలసీమ. పొట్నూరు ఉత్తరాంధ్ర.

అమరావతిలో బౌధ్ధుల విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలు, ప్రజలకు ఉపయోగపడినట్లుగా దాఖలాలేమీ లేవు. నాగార్జునుడి కాలం లో కొంత మేరకు చవక లోహాలను బంగారంగా మార్చే ఆల్ కెమీ (రసవాదం) అభివృధ్ధి చెంది ఉండవచ్చు. ఆవిశ్వ విద్యాలయాలను నిర్వహించటానికి, భిక్షువులను పోషించటానికి, రాజులు ప్రజలపై పన్నులు బాది ఉంటారు.

ఓరుగల్లు శస్త్రశాలలు తుగ్లక్ బానిస జునాఖాన్ ముందు ఎందుకూ పనికి రాలేదు. అంతేకాదు రెడ్డి దండనాధులు ,వెలమ దండనాధులు తన్నుకొని, రెండవ ప్రతాపరుద్రుడికి సహాయం చేయకపోటం వల్ల , జునాఖాన్ రెండవ ప్రతాపరుద్రుడిని బందీగా ఢిల్లీ తీసుకెళ్ళ గలిగాడు. రెండవ ప్రతాపరుద్రుడు దారిలో నర్మదానదిలో దూకి ఆత్మహత్య చేసుకోవాల్సి వచ్చింది.

ఇంక విద్యానగరం విషయానికి వస్తే, విజయనగర రాజుల కాలంలో, హంపీలో పన్నెండు వేలమంది దాకా వేశ్యలు ఉండేవారుట. వారినుండి రాబట్టిన సుంకాలతో సైనికుల జీతాల చెల్లింపుజరిగేదిట. కవితకు పెళ్లి పందిళ్లకు వరహాలను ఎక్కడినుండి తెచ్చే వాళ్ళో మనం ఊహించోకోవాలి.

పొట్నూరు జయస్తంభం కూడ, రాయల జైత్రయాత్రకు చిహ్నంగా వర్ణించు కోవచ్చు కానీ, ఆజైత్రయాత్రల వల్ల బహమనీలను కానీ, ఢిల్లీ సుల్తానులను గానీ ఎదుర్కున్నా రా అంటే , అదేమీ లేదు. రాజుల సైన్యాలు జైత్రయాత్రలకు వెళ్తూ ఉంటే దారి వెంట ఉండే పంట పొలాలు నాశనమౌతాయి తప్ప, ప్రజలకు ఒరిగింది ఏమీలేదు.

చావలే దాంధ్రజనమహోజ్జ్వల చరిత్ర
హృదయములు చీల్చి చదువుడో సదయులార!

మొదటి పాదం త్యాగరాజు, శ్యామశాస్త్రి, పట్నం సుబ్రహ్మణ్య అయ్యర్ వంటి వాగ్గేయకారులను ఉద్ధేశించింది. ఇది బాగానే ఉంది. రెండు,మూడు,నాలుగు పాదాలు, ఊకదంపుడు అనలేము కానీ, 'ఆంధ్రజనమహోజ్జ్వల చరిత్ర' లో అత్యున్నత ఘట్టాలని కూడా కీర్తించ లేము.

     నాంధ్రనౌకలు నాట్యమాడునాడు,
ఇంటింట దేశిసాహిత్యదీపములతో

    నాంధ్రనైపుణి పంతమాడునాడు,
సమర సేనావ్యూహ జయపతాకలక్రింద
    నాంధ్ర పౌరుషము చెండాడునాడు,

చూచి, సంతోషమున తలలూచి, గర్వ
మాచి ఆంధ్ర పుత్రీ పుత్రు లందగలరు
శాంతి, అందాక లేదు విశ్రాంతి మనకు;
కంకణ విసర్జనల కిది కాల మగునె?

ఈ ఆంధ్రనౌకలు నాట్యమాడటం, కొన్న పడవలను ఉద్దేశించిందే తప్ప వాటి సైజును అతిగా ఊహించటం కష్టం. పెద్దపెద్ద నౌకలు వచ్చే స్థాయిలో నీళ్ళు ఉండే జీవనది కృష్ణానది కాదు. దేశి సాహిత్యదీపాలు,ఊహించుకోటానికి సుందరంగా ఉన్నాయే తప్ప మనకెక్కడా దొరకవేమి? శిల్పనైపుణి విషయంలో మనం అగ్రగణ్యులమే అనే విషయంలో సందేహం లేదు. ఈ జయపతాకలు, ఆంధ్రపౌరుషము, తురుష్కులముందు, యూరోపియన్ల ముందు ఎందుకు పనికి రాకుండా పోయాయి?

ప్రధాని మన్మోహన్ సింగ్ గారికి విదేశయాత్రలంటే మహా ప్రేమ. వారు కొలంబోలో జరుగుతున్న కామన్వెల్త్ శిఖరాగ్ర సభకుకూడ, వెళ్ళటానికి సూటుకేసును సర్దుకుంటున్న , విఐపి విమానాలజోడును సిధ్ధం చేసుకుంటున్న సమయంలో, తమిళ మంత్రుల సలహాలకు తలఒగ్గి ,తమయాత్రను రద్దు చేసుకోటం గమనార్హం.

కాంగ్రెస్ యొక్క రాష్ట్రాల యూనిట్ల కన్నా, సంకీర్ణ భాగస్వాములైన ప్రాంతీయపార్టీలు గొప్పవి .

తమిళనాడు తమిళులకు తమ శ్రీలంక తమిళులపై ఎంత సోదర ప్రేమ ఉందో పరీక్షించటానికి ఒకమార్గం ఉంది. తమిళనాడు తమిళులకు తమ శ్రీలంక తమిళులపై ఉండే సోదర ప్రేమ , తెలంగాణ తెలుగువారికి తమ సీమాంధ్ర తెలుగు సోదరులపై ఉండే అసాధారణ ప్రేమకు భిన్నమైనది కాదు అని ఋజువు చేసుకోవచ్చు.

కేంద్రప్రభుత్వం శ్రీలంక తమిళ సోదరులకు onetime opportunity గా భారత పౌరసత్వం, తమిళనాడు చెన్నైలో రీసెటిల్ మెంట్, ఆఫర్ చేస్తూ ఒక పథకాన్ని సిధ్ధంచేసి, తమిళనాడు రాజకీయపార్టీలకు పంపాలి. ఎన్ని తమిళ పార్టీలు, శ్రీలంక తమిళ సోదరులకు ఆశ్రయం ఇవ్వటానికి ముందుకు వస్తాయో చూడాలి.

మానవ సంబంధాలన్నీ ఆర్ధిక సంబంధాలే -- అనే కార్ల్ మార్క్స్ సూక్తి నిస్సందేహంగా ఋజువు అవుతుంది.

The letter written by United A.P. Chief Minister Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy to President, Prime Minister, is meaningful. What the Central Government is doing is: It is harnessing the horse behind the cart. That means, Things which should be done last, are being done fast. And things to be taken up first are being relegated to last, or ignored at all.

విభజన విషయంలో రాష్ట్రపతికీ, ప్రధానికీ, ఆంధ్ర ప్రదేశ్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి కిరణ్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి వ్రాసిన లేఖ అర్ధవంతంగానే ఉంది.

కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం చేస్తున్న పని ఏమిటంటే బండిని తీసుకెళ్ళి గుఱ్ఱం ముందు కట్టేస్తున్నది. అంటే ముందు చేయాల్సినవి వెనకాల, తరువాత చేయాల్సినవి ముందు చేయటం.

ముందు తేల్చాల్సింది, క్రొత్త రాజధానిని. కేంద్రం ప్రజలనుండి రాజధానుల కొరకు సూచనలను ఆహ్వానిస్తే కందిరీగల తుట్టె కదులుతుంది. క్రొత్త రాష్ట్రాల డిమాండ్లు ముందుకు వస్తాయి. అప్పుడు క్రొత్త క్రొత్త రాజధానుల అవసరం కూడా తెలుస్తుంది. సీమాంధ్ర మొత్తానికి ఇప్పుడు ఒకే రాష్ట్రాన్ని అంటకట్టినా రెండేళ్ల లోనే సరసం విరసం కాక మానదు. ప్రధమ ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఎవరో అధిష్ఠానం సీల్డ్ కవర్ బయట పెట్టగానే సంసారం తమల పాకులతో జరుగుతుందా, తలుపు చెక్కలతో జరుగుతుందా బయట పడుతుంది.

క్రొత్త ఉద్యమాలు మొదలవుతాయి. సోదరులు , సుహృద్భావం అనేవి కేవలం నినాదాలు. పెట్టుబడి దారీ విధానంలో అవి కేవలం వాసనలేని పూలు.
