677 Pakisthani intellectuals have to change their thought processes

This is with reference to the Article titled "Sedition across borders: Of the same ilk", by "Aasim Sajjad Akhtar", published in DeccanChronicle.Com dated 27.02.2016, in arrangement with DAWN of Pakisthan. Click to go to Dawn. A Link is not available for this at DC. A link of is given. Title of the Article is 'Of the same ilk' .

There seems to be some problem with writers from Pakisthan. They appear to be neutral, but they are not neutral. I do not want to find fault with them. It is a part of their pseudo-nationalism. Indian intellectuals need not be carried away by their pretentions. We should not lose our objective thinking and analytical capabilities.

In the above article, the writer Prof. Aasim Sajjad Akhtar writing in Dawn, forgets the gravity of the crime committed by Afzal Guru. Does Pakisthan tolerate, if a person attacks its Parliament in Islamabad? Definitely NOT, unless some Pak. General from behind the shoulders of the Pak PM forces him to acquiesce. Even the so-called Human Rights Self-Declared Champions U.S.A., U.K. France, will not tolerate if there are attacks in their own countries, not to speak of the Gulf countries and China. It is also not correct to say that Afzal Guru's execution was done in much haste, because delays in such cases, may enable terrorists to abduct innocent persons, and demand release of the convicted prisoners. (Remember the incident of explosion of Air-India Plane on its flight from Canada to England, which was blast midseas in the air. Also remember the hyjacking of Air-India plane to Kandahar (Afghanistan) to force release of Terrorists.

Once courts decide after their due legal processes, through a ladder of appeals, arguments, examinations and cross examinations, x-raying documents and evidences, revisions, and reviews, it will not be proper for Executive to delay the implementation of Court Judgements. But, of course, the Court Judgements have to be very very thoughtful, should take into consideration, that innocent persons are not wrongfully implicated and sent to gallows. For correcting such errors, the rightful process is legal and judicial. Reducing the effects of judicial processes should not ordinarily fall in the arena of common persons like us or journalists, especially those whose exposure to life's oddities and realities are immature.

Is attacking Parliament of a country, a small crime, to be viewed lightly?

The funniest thing is, Prof. Aasim Sajjad Akhtar equates the Terrorism in Pakisthan (generated by Pakisthany Army in its own country, with the help of Talibans, Al Quaida etc., apart from external stimulations from countries like Saudi Arabia and U.A.E. Anyway, it is Pak's internal affair), and the Terrorism in INdia, which is generated by Pakisthan Army and ISI, with or without the consent of the Pakisthani Rulers. As long as Pakisthani intellectuals fail to recognise that they are living in a country which nurtures terrorists not only in its own territories, but also globally, then their intellect will go waste into the Arabian Sea.

Subject to substantial Revision, additions and deletions. To continue and revise this, with more proof.. सशेष. సశేషం.
