■TELECOM CORPORATES BHARTI AIRTEL AND, VODAFONE IDEA MAY NOT PAY THE ADJUSTED GROSS REVENUE DUES (AGR) Rs.1.47 trillion AS ORDERED BY SUPREME COURT♞:

1. Probable reasons: The Telecom Corporates Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea might have already diverted their liquid funds to their other businesses. Some of the diversions might have gone into their Overseas Investments, and it may not be easy to get those funds back.
2. They might not have taken the Supreme Court's Orders seriously, for the last several months, since they were first issued. Corporates, Industrialists, Business persons, especially the Indian categories seem to place great reliance on the capabilities of their Lawyers to win their cases. And, wherever, whenever wins are not possible, the Clients expect that their Lawyers will at least get them frequent and repeated adjournments in such a way that the Clients will get ample time to dilly-dally till such a time Judges get transferred / retire .


3. Mr. Ranjan Kumar, CEO of State Bank of India is reported to have indicated that Telecom Companies have not approached them for financial help.


4. Even if the Telecom Companies approach Banks for help, probably they may not be able to come to their rescue. Reason: Banks themselves are saddled with lots of Corporate NPAs. Besides, whetting/appraising the additional credit proposals will be a complex and time-consuming affair.

Inviting Multinationals into the country, and gifting them huge swathes of land to start their industries, allowing Foreign Institutioanl Investors and Portfolio Investors to play with Indian Stock Exchanges is a blunder, started by Mr. Manmohan Singh, and continued by BJP. Allowing even Corporates to grow beyond a reasonable size is also a blunder. AirTel and Vodafone-Idea who have been asked by Supreme Court may just be sulking to pay the AGRs. Instead of them, if Reliance Jio were asked to pay some billions, would they have paid? [According to my belief] Definitely not.

They might have been under the impression that they can always manage with the Government Officials by throwing some bucks. The guy who takes the kickbacks may get transferred or may retire. The next person who occupies his seat may also co-operate, expecting his own cuts. Thus it goes on. As long as the same Party is in Power, for some decades, there will be no problem.
26. When power changes hands, the New Ruling Party may either continue the same policies , or may chose to use its powers in the Small Print of the Contract, to adversely change them even retrospectively against the Contracting Parties. These sudden adverse changes can result in substantial losses to the Contracting Companies.
27. The New Ruling Government and the Ruling Party after making the adverse changes, cannot go back, because any such reversal can give a stick to the Opposition Parties to beat the Government , attributing corruption.
28. Hence, it will be in their interest, that Contracting Companies should read the Contracts they sign very carefully and meticulously. They should not assume that Government Officials, Politicians, and Courts can be managed at anytime.

Thereafter, suspecting that she is alive, they purchased Petrol in a Bunk, and burnt her dead-body under a Bridge. The Police, after starting late, on the basis of CC Camera footage-s, caught the Rapists-Murderers, arrested them and produced them before Court as per Law. Later, they were shifted to Cherlapalli Central Jail, amidst demonstrations by agitating Crowds who wanted possession of the Criminals, for administering punishment on Open Road. Probably, the agitators in a fit of rage, might have wanted to lynch the Criminals.

Of course, for a few months there will be lot of hullabaloo by the Society, Police, Politicians, Media, and after that everything goes into oblivion, and the history repeats itself, on some other Victim, by some other Miscreants. In bourgeoisie Capitalist Society, nothing more than that can happen.

In True Total Socialism also, unless a Total Reform is attempted, the evils of Capitalism will get transferred into Socialism.

I know I day-dream. Mr. Bernie Sanders also seem to day-dream, when he imposes some conditions on Mr. Donald Trump (see the above conditions). Is Mr. Sanders over-estimating himself? Does Mr. Trump need Sanders' support? Even if he needs, will he care to obtain the support, by melting down his own well-published convictions, fancies, announcements, whims, what not? Even if Trump is ready to compromise, will his Republican supporters, Business and Industrialist supporters, allow it?

Socialism is not just a question of some Allocations of funds for Infrastructure , or some modification of Trade Policies. The scope and spectrum of Socialism is too vast, and is un-compromise-able. If an American Socialist President could not be elected in 2016, he-she can be elected in 2020 or 2024. Four years period is too short a time, in histories of Nations. Ordinarily, there will not be any need to compromise.

QUALITY OF VOTERS AND QUALITY OF MPs REALLY MATTER

What determines the future of a Nation is the quality of its voters, and the quality of MPs they elect. In the interregnum between two elections, what genuine Socialists can do, will be-- to strive to improve the quality of voters, and the candidates they vote for.

Ans: Introducing and implementing True Total Socialism, is not going to be as easy as Demonetizing a Nation's currency, or pushing Nations into skirmishes, battles and wars. When an effort is made to introduce true total socialism, even Civil Wars which may have an intensity greater than the Civil War which Abraham Lincoln fought, may arise/result. Without good quality citizens, and citizens' representatives, Socialism will fail a la the Bolshevik Revolution 1917. Anyway, a Self-proclaimed Socialist, expecting much from a hardcore Capitalist like Mr. Donald Trump, will be a wild goose chase. It will be like a thirsty person trying to quench his thirst, while running to capture water from a mirage.

800 "Our Revolution" organisation promoted by Mr. Bernie Sanders will it serve as a PRESSURE GROUP?

Readers may recall that Mr. Bernie Sanders, the runners'-up Chief rival claimant to the Democratic Party candidature for American Presidential Election 2016, lost his campaign. His loss is quite understandable considering the American propensities to support individualism, and individual self-confidence of citizens, sometimes reaching to heights of arrogance, as Citizens of the Policeman of the World. According to NYTimes: "...Top officials at the Democratic National Committee criticized and mocked Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont during the primary campaign, even though the organization publicly insisted that it was neutral in the race, according to committee emails made public on Friday by WikiLeaks. ...". Whatever be the reason for loss of a historic opportunity for Mr. Sanders, as anticipated by us in our previous blogposts, he has started a new organisation named "Our Revolution".

After its attempts failed, the fox withdrew saying "Grapes which are beyond reach, tend to be sour". A true socialist cannot join and continue in a bourgeoisie party, hope for its top nomination. It is outright, a weird idea like a square peg in a round hole. Fail, then say we have to start from bottom. This seems to be inappropriate to my immature mind. Besides, if top is rotten, bottom may not be able to restore the top to health. Bottoms will have to dump the tops. It can happen even through change of hearts and ballets. But this change of hearts has to last longer. Else the changes brought out by Revolutions will be reduced to a heap of s***.

Mr. Sanders has to launch it either as a new Political Party with Socialist Principles, having a clear-cut SOCIALIST tag in the name itself. There can't be a via media approach for True Socialism. It must straight promise EQUALISM, removal of private property, abolition of money and monetary economy, dumping Wall Street into the Atlantic Ocean, a Marriage-less society, a secular common civil code, introduction of physical labor in addition to mental labor for all physically-fit and mentally-fit persons capable of working. Equalism and Socialism ought not to tolerate LAZY CLASSES ROLLING ON COUCHES, on the pretext of accumulated past earnings, or practising some aristocratic businesses or elite professions. Tinkering with medicare, College fees etc. have already been ineffectively tried by bourgeoisie parties. There is no use of harping the same insipid and stale tunes. I cannot resist the idea of getting an impression that the "Our Revolution" promoted by Mr. Sanders may at the most serve as a pressure group on Ms. Hillary Clinton in the Democratic Party, or on Mr. Donald Trump, if he gets elected as President. The interviewer at RT.com Mr. Ed Schultz, who talked with Mr. Cohen (Communications Manager of Mr. Sanders) seems to be right in his futuristic comment: "what might come of the movement if 'Our Revolution' doesn't get off to a great start?". Of course, nobody can expect astounding success for the 'Our Revolution' in its very first year of existence. Normally revolutions tend to be bubbles and foams of exuberant or exorbitant effervescence lasting a few years, after which some unscrupulous fellow takes over organisations and runs them as despotic tyrannies, though 'labels' may continue. This is because members lack deep-rooted convictions in their philosophies, or because the successors lack the same commitment to philosophies which the founder-members had. Uplifting of founding members to numbness by forming "marga-darsak-mandal (Council for showing path)" is also possible. The name of the organisation ought to have been "Our Evolution" (or "Our Evolution into True Socialists") instead of "Our Revolution". Revolutions tend to be cyclic. Evolutions will be irreversible, and they will have only changeable futures and not hackneyed pasts, unless there are grave reasons warranting "retrogression" an inevitable imperative.

795 If Mr. Bernie Sanders were a TRUE SOCIALIST he ought not to have joined Democratic Party!

Last time we wrote about Mr. Nick Cohen in our blog was on 24th May 2015, in our blog post No. 510. Click here to have a look at post No. 510 at this blog . At that time, we were discussing about the Indian oligarchs eager to buy posh and prime properties in London. This time, here is a need to compare American Socialist Bernie Sanders, British Labor Leader Jeremy Corbyn, and the European past of Communism of the days of Stalin and Trotsky. Mr. Cohen did it quite effectively and impressively in his article titled "LEFT HAS A HISTORY OF FOOLISHNESS" in Spectator, dated 30th July 2016. I have given below the link to this Spectator's article, for our readers to study. I am not going to rediscover or reinvent what Mr. Cohen has done so convincingly and penetratingly.

Being the largest democracy in the world, howsoever badly the so-called democracy survives in India, being one of the citizens of the poorest country in this world (this truth most Indians do not admit), I am tempted to fantasize about the future of Left in India, and explain how relevant one quote of Mr. Cohen in his article is, for our experience with the Left Parties in India. Conversely, if Indian Left Parties can rebuild themselves and succeed, that success will definitely serve as a model to the Euro, British, American, and probably even for Chinese People, not to write of the African Peoples, and the South American Peoples. (Peoples, as plural= in the meaning of Nations).

I am tempted to use a cliche like simile here: A cuckoo cannot sing like a cuckoo, when it is in the party of crows. Initially, crows may allow the cuckoo for a little time to melody like a cuckoo, but eventually the cuckoo will be forced to caw like a crow.

In management science lingo, this can probably called SOCIALISATION. If a newly admitted an employee / Manager in an organisation refuses to get SOCIALISED and undergo the METAMORPHOSIS, there will be EXTERMINATION and OSTRACIZATION.

Now, let us see the predicament of Mr. Sanders. He gave repeated messages to his supporters that Ms. Clinton is a puppet of Wall Street. By and large, it is true also. At the same time, Mr. Sanders ought to have kept in mind that Mr. Trump is also a puppet of the same Wall Street.

Is Mr. Trump a larger puppet, and Ms. Clinton a smaller puppet?

Are there any differences in magnitude and direction between the two? Answer for this can be : Appearances can, sometimes, be deceptive. Ms. Clinton may appear as polished and refined. Mr. Trump may appear as roguish and rubbish. But is there real difference between them? Is that difference so large, so wide, so deep, that Mr. Sanders has to give a call to his supporters to support Ms. Clinton, knowing pretty well that she is a puppet of Wall Street? This shift also gives us another grammatical example of degrees of comparison: Mr. Sanders is a big puppet, Ms. Clinton is a bigger pupper, and Mr. Trump is the biggest puppet!

COMPARISON OF ABOVE SANDERS BEHAVIOR , WITH THE INDIAN LEFTIST BEHAVIORS

The main Communist parties in India are 1. CPI (Communist Parties of India). 2. CPIM (Communist Party of India-Marxist), also called CPM. Both these parties are facing identify crises, notwithstanding their win in 2016 Kerala Assembly Elections, (Kerala=Southwest State of India on the coast of Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean).

Just as Sanders was compelled by his Democratic Party peers (or probably on his own volition) to ask his supporters to TRANSFER their support to Ms. Clinton, with an ostensible objective of preventing Trump entering the White House, Indian Communist Parties have an ostensible objective of preventing Communal Forces (in their view BJP Party)from capturing power in India.

Left parties in India, particularly CPM maintained that it wanted to stay at an equi-distance both from Congress and BJP. That stand was logically correct, because BJP has earned a bad name for enflaming majority communalism, whereas Congress Party tacitly pampered minority communalism. Indian Left Parties if they are truly committed to complete socialism, cannot enter into electoral alliances with bourgeoisie parties. In 2016 Bengal Elections, CPM tried to gather some votes by entering to electoral adjustments with Congress. While Congress benefited from it, CPM paid the price for it.

WHAT IS THE LESSON FROM ALL THIS WHETHER IN INDIA, UK OR USA?

Supporters and Voters are not puppets. Leftist Parties and Truly Socialist Parties have to realise this. The difference between the supporters of bourgeoisie parties and the socialist parties is: Supporters of Socialism become socialists because they have analytical abilities, because they have strong convictions, because they have had in their lives bitter experiences inflicted by Capitalism. Their shift in favour of True Socialism becomes rather indelible and nearly unalterable . Hence, they are not TRANSFERABLE like cheques and drafts, by endorsement and delivery.

WHAT MAY BE THE RIGHT OPTION FOR MR. SANDERS, AND THE TRUE SOCIALISTS IN US?

They have to start a NEW SOCIALIST PARTY in United States, build a truly socialist movement, and get ready for 2020. This is going to be difficult. But where is the choice? Mr. Sanders, or True Socialists, cannot hijack Democratic Party or Republican Party!

WHAT OPTIONS WE CAN THINK OF FOR SUPPORTERS OF TRUE SOCIALISM IN BRITISH LABOR PARTY?

In my mother tongue Telugu language there is a word 'nEti bIrakAya'. It refers to the vegetable a gourd, akin to rugged gourd (Telugu bIra kAya) family. nEti bIrakAya refers to a gourd with CLARIFIED BUTTER. Though nEti bIra kAya is a rare and tasty vegetable, gullible persons may believe that it also contains CLARIFIED BUTTER. British Labor Party, does not contain LABOR. Chinese Communist Party does not contain COMMUNISM.

In this world, especially the Capitalist World, the hard and harsh reality is PACKING CONCEALS THE TRUE NATURE. Actual goods do not conform to their Label. Whereever samples are used, merchandise actually delivered do not conform to samples. Everywhere, only tokenism prevails. In other words, MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. 774 Islamic Terrorism or Christian Terrorism or Dreams and Illusions of Hinduism as Universal Religion

Islamic Imperialism is nearly 1500 years old. Invading and conquering India was also a part of that madness. Of course, India might not have been a part of the Byzantine Empire. But, India too suffered heavily in the hands of the Arabic, Iranian, Turkish, Mongolian invaders who were all religiously mad.

In Europe, Byzantine Empire spread upto Gibralter. It culminated in 1453, when Constantinople (Istanbul) fell to Muhammad II. It continued upto the end of the First World War.

CHRISTIAN IMPERIALISM

When we write of Islamic Imperialism, we cannot overlook Christian Imperialism. In its brazen form, it included Colonialism, slave trade, economic imperialism in the name of World Bank, IMF, WTO.

ILLUSIONS OF PAST HINDU IMPERIALISM AND DREAMS FOR HINDUISM AS A UNIVERSAL RELIGION

Back in India, we have thousands of people who believed that India taught the world everything under the sky, and that India is destined to rule the world. This type of day-dreams can be dangerous to a Nation in which at least 75% of people slog their everyday to earn just two square meals. If we do not learn lessons from the > 4000+years of our slavery from our Northwest, it will be no time within which we are again going to lose our hard-earned freedom.

The best example of this type of misplaced impractical and dangerous illusions can be seen in the statement attributed to one VHP Leader by name Sadhvi Prachi, on 8.6.2016, at Roorkee. Here is a quote, said to have been hers:

"...Now that we have achieved the mission of making a Congress-free India, it is time to make India, Muslim-free. We are working on that. ..."

Question: When your friend has asked you to write about Islamic Imperialism, you are writing about Indian illusions of Hindu Imperialism.

Ans: Okay. The root of people supporting imperialism(s) and terrorism(s) lies in their illiteracy and blind faith in their own religions. They believe whatever their clerics, mullas, pastors, priests say. Proletariat (Working Classes) have to change their ways. They cannot afford to remain passive. They have to educate themselves independently, without depending much on path-showers. Once, proletariat becomes enlightened, if an Enlightened Proletarian Democracy could be established, they will convert the Prayer Houses into Potato Warehouses, or schools or hospitals, or anything else truly useful to the society.

INDIAN IMPORTED WEST ASIAN/EUROPEAN RELIGIONS HAVE TO SEVERE THEIR UMBELLICAL CORDS WITH THEIR FOREIGN CONTROLLERS

As far as India is concerned, the practitioners of West-Asian/European religions in India, will have to severe their umbellical cords with their (religions') foreign controllers. Indian Religions imported from abroad through invaders, will have to start and live their Indian lives, without depending for support from abroad. They should not expect Mr. Barak Obama or Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince to telephone India's PM, if there is a minor skirmish in a remote part of India.

It appears that, my friend wants me to recognise and highlight only on Islamic Terrorism and Islamic Imperialism. We can't deal with only Christian Terrorism or Islamic Terrorism in an isolated manner. There are two cliches and jargons, yet partial facts: "Terrorism has no religion", "Imperialism has no religion". An integrated perspective will be necessary. For that an enlightened Working Class is a pre-requisite. Unfortunately, Left Parties in India are failing to recognise this dire need.

DREAMS AND ILLUSIONS OF HINDUISM AS UNIVERSAL RELIGION

Even retired Senior Police Officials too- seem to enjoy this type of dreams and illusions of establishing Hinduism as a Universal Religion. For proof, my Telugu leaders can see an article in Editorial Page of Andhra Jyothy dated 14th June 2016. Just as my donkey's delusions, his illusions have even quoted Swami Vivekananda, and claimed "satyamEva jayatE" (Truth alone triumphs"). If my Telugu readers happen to read this article, and if they have any questions, they are welcome to raise them. Translating the whole article into English, and presenting it here, by me without injuring its original intent, is difficult for me. 723 Mr. Bernie Sanders should have the courage to say that he will close down Wall Street

Mr. Bernie Sanders, the Democratic Rival of Ms. Hillary Clinton, for the American Presidential Democratic Nomination 2016, declared himself a Socialist, and promised huge outlay on Health Care and Free College Education. To finance the outlay, he plans to raise taxes on Wall Street Speculators. One immediate question which arises is "Do the Wall Street Speculators remain silent if Mr. Sanders raises taxes on them?". They will play their own games to browbeat the ideas of Mr. Sanders. All over the World, Governments pay Health Care costs from pooled Tax Incomes collected from all the Citizens, which include Corporates, but does not target them specifically. Vox.Com has published a Survey Report which indicates that supporters of Mr. Bernie Sanders may not pay more than $1000 as additional taxes. The title of the Report is: "Most Bernie Sanders supporters aren't willing to pay for his revolution".

Where all the common people or poor people have to bear the burden of Health Care and College Costs of other American Poor who may need them, that will become only a sort of Insurance, which is based on all the people sharing the risk of some people and compensating them in case of loss. Those who undergo health loss, or those who have offsprings undertaking higher studies, will gain at the cost of others who do not suffer health loss or do not have College going children. This type of Insurance is a British and American business technique. Common people as a class will have nothing to gain through such methods.

In Telugu language, there is a proverb: "kAkulanu koTTi gaddalaku vEyaTam". Its approx. English gist is: Beat the crows, and feed the eagles. Beating somebody, and with the booty, feed somebody else.

In India, at All India level, a method similar to the above is followed: Introduce or raise some cess, on an essential commodity such as petrol / diesel, or an essential service like telecom. This Cess is called SBC Svachh Bharat Cess. It has been introduced in the 2016-17 Budget. It may come into force in November 2016. Or an additional Dividend Distribution Tax (DDT) is levied on Corporate Dividends, for those tax payers who get a dividend exceeding Rs. 10 lakhs (Rs. 1 million).

In India, at the level of States (Provinces), the State Governments usually raise Taxes on Liquors or raise Registration charges for Immovable Properties. Or raise the land value for calculation of land value, for calculation of Stamp duty and Registration Fees.

MR. SANDERS SHOULD HAVE THE COURAGE TO DECLARE THAT HE WILL CLOSE WALL STREET

Everybody knows that all Stock Exchanges are Highly Respected Gambling Houses. Stock Brokers are the sacred Bishops, Arch Bishops and Cardinals of the Religion of "World Economic Religion". Wall Street is no exception. It is the World's largest gambling house.

It is not clear, to what extent the Wall Street Speculators rob the American Citizens. Suppose, the Wall Street Speculators rob the Rest of the World Speculators, and enrich themselves, the American Citizens may not feel the pinch. If raised taxes can be collected from the Wall Street Speculators for Health Care and Free College education, the American Citizens will definitely welcome it.

ETHICAL QUESTION WILL REMAIN

"Rob the World and feed the American Citizens" cannot be called ethical, from the point of view of this World. But it can be ethical by American standards. An American President has to serve only American interests and American needs, this may, well suit to be theme for Trump but not for Sanders.

But if Mr. Sanders can take to "True and Total Socialism" to his heart, he has to take a global view of the global poor. The best thing for him to do will be, to CLOSE DOWN THE GAMBLING DENS, i.e. the Wall Street itself.

2016 American President Elections. Mr. Bernie Sanders, rival to Ms. Hillary Clinton to get Democratic Nomination, cannot any longer delay his reply to Time.Com, which has raised some important questions about acceptance of High Dollar funds from Lobbyists, Pressure Groups. Democratic challenger Bernie Sanders has scored political points off his rival’s high-dollar fundraising, while lambasting the influence of the “a handful of billionaires, their super PACs and their lobbyists” in the American political process.

But should he win the Democratic presidential nomination, Sanders stands to be the beneficiary of the same largesse he targets on the campaign trail.

Sanders has not responded to repeated questions from TIME over several months about whether he would ask the Democratic National Committee to stop raising money from federal lobbyist money or PACs if he is the nominee, as well as whether he would return corporate funds solicited for the convention.

The gist of the question will lead to a dilemma: If Mr. Sanders gets Democratic Nomination, will he avail of the High-Dollar funds raised by Ms. Hillary Clinton from Corporates and Lobbyists? All the time, he has been criticising his Rival, that she is mobilising funds from Corporates and Lobbyists.

In other words, the dilemma is practising, what is preached.

Without high-dollar funds from Democratic National Committee, it appears as though Mr. Sanders cannot fight the super-rich Trump. If Mr. Sanders uses the high-dollar funds, he will become cheap in the eyes of the voters.

When I discussed this predicament of Mr. Sanders, with a friend of mine, he suggested that Mr. Sanders should turn the page and learn the Work. By "turn the page", he meant that Sanders should turn the pages of history and find out what Mr. George Washington, Mr. Abraham Lincoln, Mr. Franklin Roosevelt et al had done, when they faced crises.

According to me, among the three Presidents mentioned above, I could not believe that Messrs. George Washington and Franklin Roosevelt could face a funds crises. They might have fought their electoral battles on equal play-fields. Mr. Abraham Lincoln might have faced this problem, but I am unable to trace any historical records.

But, the Gettisburg Address of Lincoln showed his courage of convictions. and his preparedness to face challenges, including a Civil War. Now, Mr. Bernie Sanders will not face anything like a Civil War situation, but, there is a danger of Mr. Trump outmanoeuvreing him.

The problem with Mr. Sanders seems to be, though he is making facades of a "Socialist" and a "fighter against the Wall Street", he seems to have already compromised on the issue, though he is not announcing it to the outside world. In the 240 years of American History, none of the American Presidents had to fight that type of a Virtual Civil War, which can lead to more far reaching consequences than the Real Military Civil War of the Lincoln Days. If Mr. Sanders decides to face the Corporate World with a straight sword, he will become the First American President to become the Champion of the people in gutters.

Had Mr. Sanders foreseen such possibilities, he ought to have started his preliminary campaign itself as a very very low cost Campaign. At every stage, he ought to have cut expenditure by 75% of the normal spendings.

Substantial time and resources are spent planning and executing such events, which if not reimbursed by the campaigns, must be covered by local taxpayers.

Hence, we need not doubt the sincerity and integrity of Mr. Sanders. Yet, there is a problem. If he accepts Corporate Funds, after winning Elections, he cannot harden his stance towards them. His softness, will make him a piece of butter for the Corporate knives.

Apart from Electoral funding, even if there is no need of electoral funding, Heads of State and , Heads of Government cannot today avoid the Corporates altogether, until TRUE AND COMPLETE SOCIALISM is implemented in TOTO. Even after execution, the Heads will have to face the problem of providing Essential needs i.e. food, clothing, shelter, education, health care to the citizen. As long as Socialist Nations can produce all their needs in STATE SECTOR, WITHIN THE COUNTRY, the Socialist Citizens will be happy.

But, for numerous reasons such as crop failures, natural calamities, political upheavals in neighboring countries, every country whether Socialist or Capitalist is bound to face domestic shortages, which are to be met through imports.

If Socialist Citizens can live happily, limiting their demands and needs to the bearest, a Socialist Nation can survive. But the neighboring Capitalist countries will not allow a Socialist country to exist. It will be an eyesore for them. There is no place for "contentment and satisfaction" in Capitalist countries. Nor they can tolerate such "contentment and satisfaction" which does not exist in their own countries, to exist in Socialist countries.

Anyway, let Mr. Sanders cross the first post, i.e. win the Democratic Nomination.

What a shame for Indian Democracy? !!! According to News reports, Tamil Nadu Election Commission is trying to rope in Film Actor Mr. Rajni Kanth, and others, to motivate Tamil Nadu voters to vote in 2016 Tamil Nadu State Elections. According to Indian History and Freedom Movement, First Elections to the Erstwhile United Madras State Assembly's Elections were held in 1937. That means we have nearly 79 years of history of modern elections. Besides, Tamil Nadu has great historical background of Local Self Governments in Villages, during the Chola Period, circa 10th 13th Centuries C.E.

With such great past golden history of Democracy, why should Tamil Nadu voters need prodding by Film Stars, to participate in voting? There is something wrong with Indian Democracy, and within it, the Tamil Nadu Democracy.

Why educated voters are avoiding Poling Stations, like the Police Stations? This is, in spite of, the State and Central Governments declaring the Polling Day as a Public Holiday. Educated voters may have a higher level of wants, when compared to the Illiterate and Semi-literate voters who may be satisfied with a biriyani packet, a wine bottle, and some 1500 bucks, for each family member. In the last elections to Tamil Nadu Assembly, Parties promised electronic gadgets like Color Televisions. This time also, definitely, the Parties will come up with something or other, overtly or covertly.

May be Tamil Nadu voters are totally disenchanted with the two dominating Regional Parties A.I.D.M.K. of Jayalalithaa, and the D.M.K. of Karunanithi. Then, it becomes, all the more highly important for voters, to search for worthy independent candidates and support them. Though the independents may not win in 2016 itself, at least they will get enough courage and inspiration to contest again in 2021.

SUPREME COURT'S UNWILLINGNESS TO ADVISE ELECTION COMMISSION TO VERIFY THE ASSETS OF RICH CONTESTANTS

It is a well-established fact that Poor persons are unable to contest in Assembly and Parliament Elections, as they cannot afford to bear the expenditure.

Retired DGP Julio Riberio and 13 other eminent persons filed a PIL Writ Petition in Supreme Court to instruct the Election Commission to verify the assets declared by Winning Candidates and the next three top Candidates.

Supreme Court declined to intervene. For those Readers who wish to read this, (Click to go to) Business-Standard . Some observations of the Supreme Court, in this decision, are given below:-

"...If we ask the Election Commission to verify the assets of the contesting candidates running into crores of rupees, it will submerge the Election Commission into doing these verifications only and (it) will not be able to do any other thing...".

"...Verification is a cumbersome process, say of a candidate disclosing possessing assets worth Rs.300 crores. What purpose it will serve? How it will restore parity between rich and the common man? ..."

"...You want rich men be excluded from contesting election so that common man gets a chance. ..."

"...How a common man gets disabled from contesting election (if rich is in the fray). How a common man is enabled if rich man is ousted from contesting election. ..."

The problem is with the voters. The voters have to enable the common man to contest in elections. Even if the voters do not contribute moneys to the Election Campaigns of worthy common-persons (at least partly it is happening in United States, in the case of the Democratic Party Aspirant Mr. Bernie Sanders), Indian voters can give moral courage to the common-person candidates. For example, they can ascertain the postal address of the common-person candidate, and send him-her a post card, that they are examining his-her candidature. This will not cost them much. Just Rs.0.50 Fifty Paise, less than one centg in U.S. Dollar terms. It will also give the voters some hand-writing practice, which they are lacking, after the advent of Televisions, and mobile phones. They should not expect the candidate to come to their villages in Open Jeeps, waving hands, with biriyani packets.

Indian voters seem to think like "GREAT" Swami Vivekananda. Like Vivekananda, they seem to trust rich persons. Indian elections show that Indian voters trust rich candidates who are big industrialists, Merchants, Doctors owning millions of bucks, hundreds of acres of land, factories, shopping complexes, Liquor shops.

Vivekananda wrote to Swami Akhandananda from London on the 13th November 1895.

"... Whenever you hear of any householder collecting funds in my or our name on the plea of erecting a Math, or some such thing, the first thing you should do is to distrust him, and never set your hand to it. The more so, as householders of poor means take to various tricks to supply their wants. Therefore, if ever a trusty devotee or a householder with a heart, being of affluent circumstances, undertakes such works as the founding of a Math, or if the funds raised be kept in the custody of a trusty householder of wealth — well and good, otherwise never have a hand in it. ... "

Wealthy Householders are trustworthy ! This is the path shown by our Role Model Swami Vivekananda. Hence, poor voters of India, vote for Rich Candidates !!!

I hope our Great Orator on Swami Vivekananda, Shri V.V. Lakshmi Naarayana garu, the Former CBI Joint Director, and the present A.D.G.P. of Maharashtra Police will read this quote of Swami Vivekananda.

I owe apologies to my readers at least for one reason- blaming Swami Vivekananda, quite often, quoting something or other written by him. I have tried to emerge out of this obsessive entanglement, and am still trying. The problem is even if I want to forget, our India will not allow me to forget. For example, only day before yesterday, a Flyover under Construction "Vivekananda Flyover" in Kolkata, collapsed.
