It is not clear why PMO refused to provide this simple information sought by the RTI Activist.
At least, theoretically, there should be no need to hide this simple information on amount spent for use of internet in the Office of the Prime Minister of India. Unnecessary secretiveness, creates unnecessary doubts and suspicions. This information probably may not have anything to do with the internal or external security of India.
The Chief Accounts Officer TR SBN RP who provided this reply to the RTI activist, might not have received suitable instructions/training for transparency from his Superiors in PMO, New Delhi.
While refusing information, PMO ought to have given reasons for rejection. But again, if reasons are given, another pandora box will open. This issue is really complex.
(To continue, when new information is received. and carry out corrections if needed.

Harsh Criticism is also welcome.
