Before she could do it, she got divorced with her husband, and married Late Shri N.T. Rama Rao, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh at that time. As the influence of Ms. Lakshmi Parvati was ever raising, Shri Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, the younger son-in-law of Shri N.T. Rama Rao, led a rebellion of M.L.As against him, unseated him from his Chief Ministerial Chair, and occupied the Chair himself. He (Shri Chandra Babu Naidu) ruled another nine years upto 2004. Bagasse represents left overs of sugar cane, after extraction of juice. Ants surround it to suck further juice from it. Poet Baddenamatya used this simile to compare the customer of a prostitute with an ant which approaches bagasse.

Power also may compared to bagasse. అధికారాన్ని కూడ మనం చెరకు పిప్పితో పోల్చవచ్చేమో. शायद हम सत्ते को भी खोई से तुल सकते।

Prior to the advent of Ms. Lakshmi Parvati, the younger son-in-law of Shri N.T. Rama Rao was the de-facto Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, while Late NTR was de jurie Chief Minister. Later, Ms. Lakshmi Parvati became the extra-Constitutional Power/Authority for the United Andhra Pradesh. This, Mr. Nara Chandra Babu Naidu could not relish, and hence he revolted against NTR & Lakshmi Parvati, carrying along with him all the Telugu Desham M.L.As. The MLAs were kept a week in ViceRoy Hotel, Hyderabad, under confinement. Mr. Rama Rao went to see his- deserting MLAs, but the Police did not allow him to-inside the Hotel. Inter Alia (Among other things), the mutiny under the leadership of Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu, too has contributed to the sickness and ultimately to the death of Shri N.T. Rama Rao, of course, out-of-power.
