Does every District in India need an Airport? So do our leaders say, and promise. For example, Shri Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, Chief Minister of Residual Andhra Pradesh, and Shri Ashok Gajapati Raju, Civil Aviation Minister of India. Few days back, they have inaugurated an International Terminus at Gannavaram Airport, Vijayavada. So far so good, because Gannavaram Airport serves the needs of the Capital Region of New Amaravati- the New Capital of the Residual Andhra Pradesh. True, that some District Headquarters Towns in India do not have proper road-connectivity or rail-connectivity. Yet, I feel that India's priority should be alcohol de-addiction centres, and alcohol-rehabilitation centres. Though exact data of alcoholic addiction in India is not available, it appears that with most State Governments bent upon maximising their excise revenue, and the liquor contractors, wine shops, bars and pubs are all extremely active in spreading the habit of alcohol among Indian Citizens all rural-urban-metropolitan, family lives are getting trampled and tromped.
