The Dateline of this Report is 7th Feb. 2018, 21.51 ist. As the News Report is from one of the most Reputed News Papers of India, we need not have any rethinking about the authenticity of the Report. Besides, very few News Papers and TV Channels reported this important News item, for reasons known only to those who missed to report it inadvertantly, or deliberately. After some searching, I could trace this News in 2nd largest Circulated Telugu Daily Andhrajyothy.com, dated 7th Feb. 2018. Here is the link for those Telugu Readers who may be interested to read it: Click here to go to: http://www.andhrajyothy.com/artical?SID=533051. Both the news reports might have been "late receipts" for Publication on 7th Feb. 2018. Hence, it will not be reasonable for us to expect detailed coverage on the same day.
For the subsequent days, till date, I searched if theHindu or the Andhrajyothy have published progress reports of her recovery. I could not trace anything about progress of treatment to Ms. Jashoda Ben at Chittodgadh Hospital, or about her returning back to her Residence in Gujarat, or about anything else relevant. If I have missed any News Reports, my Readers may please correct me.
It may be worthwhile to compare one important item, in both theHindu and the Andhrajyothy.com News Reports
Heading itself. TheHindu: "...Narendra Modi’s wife Jashodaben escapes unhurt in Rajasthan road accident. ".
"...Her relative Basantbhai Modi, who was driving the car, was killed. Two other women and a security personnel were injured. ..."
"... The car was completely destroyed in the accident. ..."
"...Out of danger
While Ms. Jashodaben was out of danger, a woman relative and a security personnel suffered head injuries and were sent to a hospital in Udaipur. ..."
Andhrajyothy.com. Everyday I spend about one or two hours in the evening, helping my 93 year old father, to watch Telugu News Channels. My duty is to press remote's channel change button, whenever there are advertisements. From 7th Feb. 2018 to 25th Feb. 2018 I could not see any news item on Telugu News Channels, about the accident to the car in which Mrs. Jashoda Ben was travelling, whether she was discharged from the Hospital, whether she reached her home safe.
Question: Now, what is that you want to drive home through your blog post?
Since the night of the 24th Feb. 2018, all the TV Channels, and Print News Papers blatantly blaring about the arrival of the Mortal Remains of Ms. Sri Devi, Actor, who passed away in Dubai, whereto she went for attending marriage of a nephew of her husband Shri Boney Kapur. I have substantial respect to Ms. Sri Devi, as a Talented and Successful film star. The News of her suddenly passing away, is definitely newsworthy.
But my agony is: (I apologise to my readers who may be hurt by my open Criticism, at this inapt point of time, which is time for mourning to the departed Mrs. Sri Devi. This criticism of mine is not against Mrs. Sri Devi. It is against the Media, the Politicians, and the Public in General.). Why the entire Nation is enamored and AGOG for days together, with every News Paper and every TV Channel, and every POlitician, every Celebrity and Non-Celebrity profusely pouring out their condolences over the death of the Film Star.
President, Vice President, Prime Minister, most of the Central Cabinet Members, most the Chief Ministers of the 29 States have expressed their condolences either on TV, Twitter or in News papers, or everywhere. Will all of them express similar condolences if some other Senior Actor/Actress passes away? What criteria will decide their Condolence Response levels?
Disproportionate Attention is a Media-craze
Here is an apt Telugu verse, followed by Roman Script:
క. కాలం బైనం బోవక kAlam bainam bOvaka
యీ లోకము నందు నిలువ నెవ్వరి వశ మి I lokamu nandu niluva nevvari vaSa mi-
ట్లేల యనవివేక జనముల TlEla yana avivEka janamula
పోలిక శోకానలమునఁ బొగులుచు నుండన్. pOlika SokAnalamuna pogulucu nunDan.
from: Telugu mahAbhAratam by tikkana, Vol. 7 (drONA parva). Context Abhimanyu lost his life, caught in the Lotus Formation framed by Drona. PanDavas were lamenting about the loss of their sons.
English gist
When the Time (Judgement Day) arrives, without leaving, nobody can stay-put in this World. Why lament and consume oneself in flames of Grief (ceaselessly) in this manner, like unwise ignorant persons?I believe that Media will continue this onslaught, till they get some other piece of meatless bone.
Why there is so little attention at one deserving place, and so much beyond-all-reasonable proportions attention at some other place?
Why there is so little Reporting (except a dozen lines on 7th Feb. 2018 and that too in only a very very few Channels and Websites) about the Chittod Car Accident in which Prime Minister's Dharma patni could fortunately get saved, her relative & driver Shri Basant Bhai Modi lost his life, another Relative Ms. Vimala Modi received injuries. And why there is so much hullabaloo about the passing away of Actors and Actresses, who can do anything for the sake of money, and who do not hesitate to knock away the spouses of others. When actors and actresses choose 2nd hand undivorced spouses, it shows their intellectual immaturity.Mind boggling: Why some people in Gujarat and Rajasthan seem to suffer more perceptions of threats to their lives through Encounters?
Pravin Togadia
Earlier Pravin Togadia, a long time Associate of our Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, expressed his apprehensions of being encountered by Rajasthan Police. http://www.firstpost.com/india/pravin-togadia-claims-there-is-threat-to-his-life-says-will-surrender-before-court-once-cleared-by-doctors-4304811.htmlJignesh Mevani, dalit MLA from Gujarat
Mr. Jignesh Mevani, a dalit M.L.A. from Gujarat, seems to be feeling the heat. His threat perception may be right or wrong, it is a different thing. Ordinarily, in the World's largest Democracy, and the Aspiring World's Economic Power like India, where its Constitution enshrines and cherishes Rule of Law, such Threat Perceptions ought not to arise.Thought-provoking: Mr. Rahul Gandhi may not be a fitting substitute for Mr. Narendra Modi.
May be the capabilities of his speech-writers have improved, Mr. Rahul Gandhi has intensified his pitch of attack against Mr. Narendra Modi.
Mr. Rahul Gandhi, Congress President is reported to have said in Karnataka, on 25th May 2018:
“... A scam of Rs 22,000 crore happens, Nirav Modi runs away with Rs 22,000 crore from Indian Banks and Modiji (Prime Minister) says action will be taken ...” Click to go to http://www.freepressjournal.in/india/congress-calls-pm-modi-most-expensive-watchman-in-the-world/1227417.
This intensified pitch of Mr. Rahul Gandhi, raises one important question? Is Mr. Rahul Gandhi, a fitting substitute for Mr. Narendra Modi?
Is Mr. Rahul Gandhi a fitting substitute for Mr. Narendra Modi?
Ans: Certainly not. The fall in quality of Indian Prime Ministers, with every succession, commencing from the anointment of Mrs. Indira Gandhi as Prime Minister by the Congress Syndicate led by Late Kamaraj Nadar, the then Congress President, in 1966 should be deplorable and distressing for Indians.
When the Nation found that Mr. Manmohan Singh-Sonia Gandhi-Rahul Gandhi were causing miseries, they chose Mr. Narendra Modi as PM in 2014, with a fond hope that he would ameliorate the problems of People. Unfortunately, instead, he did not live upto expectations. Now in 2019, if the Nation were to go for a Substitute, then such chosen Substitute should be better than Mr. Narendra Modi. Mr. Rahul Gandhi has not shown any qualities befitting the shoes of a Prospective Prime Minister of India. I feel that INdian voters should not commit the same mistake which they have committed in 1980, when they brought back Indira Gandhi. It is hightime 2018 Indians search for New Leaders of proven honesty, integrity, justice, knowledge.
There is a line from a Telugu film song from the film Velugu nIDalu, penned by Late Shri Shri:
agAdhamu jalanithi lOnA
ANi mutyamu nnadi lE
"...EdI tananta tAnE
nI dariki rAdu
SOdhinci sAdhincAli
adE dhIra guNam.
