Trigger for this: While helping my 90 year old father to leap through Telugu TV news channels, yesterday evening (16th April 2017, approx. 8pm IST) I saw a live TV Telecast on E TV News channel, a great glitter multi-colorful Road Show of Shri Narendra Modi, the Hon. Prime Minister of India. He was on a whirlwind visit to Surat, after the conclusion of the BJP Executive Committee Session in Odisa. Just before that, I heard some pieces of glories of Mr. Narendra Modi from the 2nd Rung Leaders of BJP at the EC Meeting, while Mr. L.K. Advani was sitting at the edge of the row of the top-bosses. Looking at Mr. Advani's expressionless stoic face, I was wondering whether he would get an elevation to become the next President of India, though Mr. Advani himself made clear that he was not in the race for Presidency of India. Besides, there is a possibility of his getting a "NO" on the pretext of Supreme Court ordering the reopening of the case of Incitement for the Demolition of Babri Masjid.
Is this glittery risk worth taking?
After shifting to the ETv News channel which has started showing Mr. Modi's Colorful Road Show with thousands of cars, bikes, suv-s, with slogans reaching the sky, I was awe-struck and astonished. Although, there were dozens of escort vehicles, and nearly-impenetrable security arrangements, I felt that there was scope for terrorists or unscrupulous assassins to enter the fray and execute their tasks. The jamboree was so lavish and so boisterous, it appeared for a feeble soul like me to be a risky and strainful (strenuous) adventure, especially at a time, when the country and the world are passing through worrisome events. I do not wish to say that we should not take any risks at all, and should hide ourselves in the midst of security cordons. My question is, just for publicity sake, can we take such risks?

Some quotes from News links
Dholakia, who runs a diamond export firm in Surat, announced his company will give 1,260 cars, 400 flats and pieces of jewellery to his employees ahead of Diwali, which falls on the weekend.
“Our aim is that each employee must have his own home and car in the next five years. So we have decided to gift cars, homes and jewellery to employees,” Dholakia, owner of the Hare Krishna Exports, said.
“...We are arranging for houses for those who already own cars, while those who don’t have a four-wheeler will get one,” he said.
He said the rewards were in recognition of the outstanding performance and dedication shown by employees in the last five years.
The company will be spending an estimated Rs 500 million (Rs 50 crore) under the loyalty programme to reward an unknown number of staff from a total workforce of 5,500.
Most employees receive presents of some kind from their bosses during Diwali, the festival of lights, but they are usually boxes of Indian sweets.
But Dholakia has been making headlines by giving expensive gifts to his employees since 2012, when three employees received cars for their performance.
The generous boss gave 491 cars and 207 flats to his employees under a similar programme in 2014.
yb-a-donkey's views which are not intended to be imposed on others
By my very nature I am a very cynical, pessimistic, sceptical donkey, who will always say 'half glass is empty', instead of saying 'half glass is full'.
I waded through this cynicism, pessimism, scepticism, even when Indian Information Technology - Compu-Software Industry was at its peak between 1998 and 2008, and was paying plump salaries to their Software Engineers.
As far as my belief about Diamond Polishing Units in Surat goes (that belief may be wrong), the Surat Diamond Polishing Units make their artisans to work like slaves in dark-dungeon like places, full of dust, exposing them to risks of losing part-vision, catching respiratory diseases etc.
Here these Dholakias seem not only to please their employees/workers, but also entertain the country's Prime Minister with Great Road Shows costing millions of Rupees.
There must be something wrong with my vision. Somebody has to send me to some jail for some 'correction and rehabilitation'.
